So you expect them to admit to having it on a public website that everyone including the police can see? Seems you just don't even want to understand how things work. Are you the least bit streetwise? I am sure that if the speed limit says 60, you go 58, while people who understand how things work are going 68.
Street wise? I operate in NYC the center of the universe.
But I'm not stupid. You are pretty free with your reckless advice on this bc you have no skin in my game.
If I get busted heeding your advice on breaking Thai drug laws are you going to bail me out?
Are you going to cover the 750 k per yr in lost wages from me losing my job?
No? I didn't think so.
If you think you have won the discussion why do you continue to reply to my posts? If you think your position will carry the day why do you engage in personal attacks? I am stating simple legal principles and known facts that back up my positions. Not once have you said any of my legal positions (specific situations) are wrong and have made a argument to back it up.
Now you have backed off your absolute statements. You are dealing in probabilities now. Why? Because you don't really know. You state that because there are headlines that those are the only cases involving prostitution that are ever prosecuted under the laws in Thailand. I congratulate your recognition that you cannot state for sure that the headline cases are the only ones that are ever appear on the legal docket.
Why do you ignore the legal concept of a predicate act?
You do this because you are not making a legal argument. You are arguing your position. Even a a lay person you should understand that the law is it's on language and has it's own principles. Do you have such little respect for the legal profession to think that individuals who have spent three are four years studying the law then passing the bar are less knowledgeable than you are. This is an example of your pure arrogance in my opinion.
Neither Section 5, Section 7, The Thai Penal Code, The Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act nor whatever new arguable "legislation" regarding Entertainment areas you change the subject to or come up with state simply that prostitution between consenting adults is illegal or a crime in Thailand.
Keep trying if it makes you happy. I am still open to the possibility that Prostitution between consenting adults is designated in some real and official way as illegal and a crime in Thailand.
But, so far and after years of my challenging posters here who repeatedly claim that it is or that something related to it happens at age 20 instead of 18 and so on, exactly zero documented proof of it has been produced by anyone. And there has still been no news report of arrests or sweeps by the police for any Sections or Citations anywhere citing prostitution being illegal, a crime or punishable by any penalty for the provider offering it or for the customer accepting it. Only for prostitution-related activities that are easy to avoid and still meet and negotiation for a prostitution session throughout Thailand.
Neither a massage shop, nor a gogo bar, nor a beer bar is recognized by the authorities as "a prostitution establishment" unless there is some blatantly obvious sign for it hanging over the door or the ladies are outside shouting, "Get your red hot fucks and blowjobs right here!" And, BTW, bars and shops have on occasion been busted and closed for crossing that line. But, again, the bust and charge is for crossing that line and not for consenting adults engaging in prostitution.
You do know that when a licensed driver gets stopped by the police and possibly arrested for driving a car significantly over the posted speed limit that is the crime for which they are charged and arrested, right? They don't also get charged with an additional non existent crime of "driving a car", right?
They only get arrested, charged and penalized for the car driving-related activity of significantly exceeding the posted speed limit. Again, that would be a car driving-related activity that is blissfully easy to avoid, not get arrested for and you would still enjoy the experience of driving a car to get you to your destination. No licensed driver gets an additional ticket for "driving a car" after being stopped for speeding in that car. Nor for owning the car. Nor for taking someone along for a ride in that car. Nor for smiling while driving. Nor for being Black, White or any shade in between while driving. That would be because there are no laws, Sections, Citations or Plain Language words, phrases or sentences magically making those activities illegal in any Code, Act or official and enforcable wish list in all of Thailand for it to be so.
The same thing applies to prostitution between consenting adults in Thailand unless you or somebody else can produce the documented or real world reported evidence of it being illegal and a crime for consenting adults to engage in it in Thailand, which you have not.
Wouldn't it be more beneficial to the health and well-being of visitors and readers of ISG for you to repeatedly state that Consistently Overeating Is NOT Legal in Thailand! in your posts than for whatever it is you are inadvertently or intentionally trying to accomplish with the same message about prostitution between consenting adults in Thailand? I mean, there is every bit as much legal standing for you to remind us of that or that Smiling While Driving is NOT Legal in Thailand! as the case you are making about prostitution between consenting adults in Thailand.
There are many similar highlighted statements you can make about activities that are also never mentioned or cited as being illegal, a crime or punishable by any fine or penalty whatsoever or have not been officially "legalized" by the government the same as prostitution between consenting adults in Thailand that you could be posting over and over instead. Millions of them really.

If you do that then where you buy them from makes no difference you will not be breaking any law.
Ask any AI LLM if prostitution is legal in Thailand. Come back here and tell us the answer you got from the AI prompt.
So prostitution is illegal does that mean you are going to stop participating in the hiring of prostitutes in Pattaya? Or are you okay with breaking the law since they don't enforce it? I think you just enjoy pounding the shit out of senor Smoothie?
I used to agree with EihTooms but after finally reading the code everyone keeps posting I saw the one gotcha that makes it illegal. Section 6 . , or anyone "who provides or receives commercial sexual services in any place", is subject to a fine. That blows his between consenting adults in private idea.
So prostitution is illegal....
Speeding is illegal in the Kingdom, and it's so stated in one paragraph of the relevant act.
Here is the statute on murder- Section 288. Murder.
Whoever, murdering the other person, shall be imprisoned by death or imprisoned as from fifteen years to twenty years.
19 words.
If prostitution itself is illegal, why does it take an act that is 16 pages and 45 sections long to state that?
The answer is simple.
If prostitution itself is illegal, why does it take an act that is 16 pages and 45 sections long to state that?
Why don't you produce a legal opinion from a member of the bar of Thailand that supports your position?
Prostitution is illegal in Thailand, though the industry is widely tolerated and visible in many areas.
Legal Status: The 1996 Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act prohibits public solicitation, brothel keeping, and profiting from prostitution. However, the act of selling sex in private is not explicitly criminalized under Thai law.
Penalties: Individuals soliciting sex can face fines up to 1,000 baht, while pimps and brothel owners face imprisonment of one to ten years and heavier fines.
Recent Developments: A Sex Workers Protection Bill was drafted in March 2023 to decriminalize consensual adult sex work and provide labor protections, but as of August 2026, it has not yet been passed into law.
Enforcement: While technically illegal, enforcement is often inconsistent, with authorities frequently turning a blind eye in tourist-heavy areas like Pattaya and Bangkok, although crackdowns do occur.
https://www.thethailandlife.com/prostitution-thailand
I got some here last week, 3000 baht for a bag of a hundred. (You need to space them apart). They also had brownies, of varying intensity.

If you did then you'd know that no matter how many PT33's I have I still can't buy edibles legally since under Thai law enacted last year they are a Category 5 narcotic. There's an amazing new invention you evidently haven't heard of called Google where you can pull these laws up yourself so I don't have to keep feeding them to you.
Am I really going to Thailand? Feel free to come by the Maison hotel and say Hello, when I am there on a few weeks. I'll show you how to google.
As for trolling you seem to be the only troll around here with your aggressive comments.

Ignoring the law and facts, calling a racist nor shouting down from your Ivory tower while reading from you tomes will ever change the fact that Prostitution is not legal in Thailand. It is irresponsible for you to do so. Especially as a lay person. You hide behind the disclaimer that you are not dispensing legal advice. But individuals who have studied the law for years and taken a test to join the bar in Thailand do not agree with you. Neither do I. Neither do several other posters that have commented about the issue.
Prostitution is not legal in Thailand!
Ask any AI LLM if prostitution is legal in Thailand. Come back here and tell us the answer you got from the AI prompt.
I compared Thailand and Spain (asking wether prostitution was legal or not in both of them). Even though the answers were almost identical (only difference between brothels being "sold" as restaurants, pubs or hotels in Spain while in Thailand we all know there are no brothels per se), the considerations were different. In Spain it is a legal (neither illegal nor legal), while in Thailand it is technically illegal (it also says that the act of trading sex for money is not strictly outlawed on its own). So, it is illegal, but there is no punishment for prostitution (maybe because there is no a legal form in Thailand). There are punishments for pimping, underaged prostitution, brothels and public solicitation (openly and shamelessly).

https://maps.app.goo.gl/CCnQoyiMQ8EWqefg9
Thank you for this! Are edibles the legally permissible. 20 THC or the real thing?
If they are the real thing then they are selling under the radar contrary to new laws.
So it'll be up to me to buy them and assume any risks with my eyes wide open.
But it's great to know if this place so thanks again.
