Rio de Janeiro Reports

With the real riding high and inflation making things even worse, I went to Buenos Aires with high hopes. The peso was 4 to 1, and prices weren't so bad, but the working girls were, on average, older and less attractive and the service was, on average, far less than what you find in Rio. I wanted Buenos Aires to be a good alternative to Rio so badly, I went twice within the past 3 years, but I ended up regretting going both times. There are a lot more options and available women in Rio than in Buenos Aires. But Rio is much more expensive, right now, but you get what you pay for. If money is not a problem, Rio is a no brainer. If money is a concern, you can calculate price versus quality, and what you value most.

You can also weigh different options in Rio. You can go to the "high-end termas", middle--range places or much cheaper low-end places in Rio, as has been documented in this forum. Service can be great at the high and low-end, and gems are to be found at the low-end, as well.

Given my calculations of value, I still prefer Rio. Brazilians are also much more friendly than the Argentines.

On the other hand, if you guys are looking for fun people, fun sexy girls, and a bit more adventure, try Rio, Sao Paulo, Fortaleza, a Bahia, or just Brazil in general. IMHO.

As far as the differences in women ... well, in my experience, it's night and day, as Brasileiras win by a landslide.

Yesterday's "O Globo"reports, that Rio's first operating Terma has closed forever. The notice was confirmed in today's edition.

BCeo[/QUOTE]After more than a decade mongering in Rio, I replaced Rio with BA as my mongering destination of first choice. This is not a permanent decision and I may reverse it sometime in the future. But for right now, Rio has priced itself out of this monger's market.

If costs were the same, Rio would win hands down. It's much more of a fun city than BA. Cariocas are naturally friendly, whereas Argentinians seem to be a much more dour and reserved people. BA is much more of a cultural city, if you are into high culture. As far as mongering, sex is just as easy to get in either city, although the means of getting it is different. Termas don't exist in BA; the primary venue for finding chicas are privados, or private apartments. Like the termas, they vary in quality, some being very high end, others grungy and disgusting. But even the high end privados are dirt cheap compared to high end Rio termas. An hour with a quality chica in a high end privado will cost, at the most, AP250, or US$62. 50. The same in a high end Rio termas will cost you several times that. BA has several high end chica bars, similar to Rio's boites or boates. They are all ripoffs; stay away. And the poster who said that BA chicas are far below Rio's in quality doesn't know what he's talking about. Both cities have fine, beautiful chicas who provide excellent service. You may or may not be aware that Argentina is not one of the countries for which information is available on ISG. Argentine has its own forum, Argentina Private: [url]http://www.argentinaprivate.com/.[/url] Check it out. It is much less well-organized than ISG. In fact, it's somewhat chaotic. But you should find a plethora of information there, including chica photos. I might also point out that BA does not have anywhere near the crime problem that Rio does. BA is a much safer city; not safe, but safer. And Rio is much easier to find your way arouns.

In a nutshell, the deciding factor is money. If money is no object, choose Rio, if you don't mind going home with an empty wallet. Otherwise, take a more frugal trip to BA.

BCeo[/QUOTE]I have always enjoyed my trips to both cities. Both have plenty of things to do see when not mongering. BA is definitely cheaper as far as value of US Dollar, food, taxis, and SEX. Rio has its beaches which are nice. July is winter in both cities, but it will be chillier in BA, especially in the evenings.

Overall, I have always found the girls in Rio to be more sexy and attractive, but I have met with hot girls in BA. If picking up street walkers interests you, I would say BA would be safer. As far as girl friendly hotels, I would give the edge to BA. Rio has its Termas which I really enjoy. BA has its privados or private apartments.

If I had to pick one of the cities, I would go with Rio. But you will have fun in both. Enjoy!

I went to Club 22 and use my credit card for a session. I paid for an hour and only got 1/2. Had a smoking hot 22 dark morena. I discussed it and they played dumb and stupid. No problem, because I used Amex. Amex will investigate with Club 22 hiding that it was for pay4play. Teach them, charge was canceled and I got a free session.

I was considering a diversion from Rio to BA several times. The pricing and availability of sex seemed great like you say. But what kind of sex? After RTFF at Argentina Private I got the perception that even WG's are more conservative there, and things like anal and CIM are not as easy to find, unless you have experience from previous trips, or a good local advisor. Same goes for Paraguay, I've considered it on the basis of recommendations from Ken Apples' posts here on ISG, but seems generally more conservative WGs than in Rio or SP. I hope that I am wrong.

Brasilian termas and casa girls seem to be there 50% for fun and 50% for the money. Sometimes they do stuff that I never even asked them to do. Like sucking my toes, trying to lick my ass, offering anal before pussy, wanting to go bareback in pussy and even ass, barking like a dog, trying to take both balls in their mouths at one time, sucking my tongue during DFK so hard it hurt for hours. I think it's still possible to have a great time at reasonable prices in Rio. Bel Prazer is usually good. Tigresas. Drunk girls from Balcony, late night. A well-interviewed girl within Club Florida. A well-interviewed girl from T502. The list goes on. Lodging charges are the real killer. Ibis Centro, just about the most boring out-of-the way GF hotel in town, isn't even cheap anymore. I heard a rumor on another forum about the recent closing of 22. Is it true?

22 is / was owned by a cop. AMEX will get no where. I've said many good things about a couple of the working girls in that place, but hold that the 22 desk women are total scam artists. They've tried to gringo-tax me before, tried to charge me for drinks I didn't have, etc. I'd never use a credit card at any of these P4P places. Consider you are giving your credit card number to someone who is basically a pimp, and that puts it into perspective. So I used an Amex Platinum card, because they understand the gringo tax and said it's normal overseas to get over charged. I wouldn't use Visa or mastercard. It was taken care of by Amex quickly.

Monte Carlo was closed the whole 10 days I was there, 13-23 April.

As for AMEX, I got mugged in a different country and all my cards and most of my cash was taken. Totally screwed. AMEX asked for my location so they could overnight airmail the replacement card, credited the fraudulent charge amounts back my account balance the next day, and no questions were asked. They even offered to send a cash-advance authorization to a local AMEX center so I could have cash to use until the new card arrived. MC and Visa locked my accounts until I returned multiple affidavits stating that I didn't gain anything from the charges, I don't know who made the charges, etc. MC and Visa Cards finally came to my home 2 weeks after I returned the affidavits. Priceless! Now I leave MC and Visa at home if I'm going to some scam-rich environment like Rio.
