The city itself is in a bowl surrounded by mountains which traps the polluted air. Food is expensive. And the top end hookers all have the golden pussy attitude.

Lima is much better. Girls are not as hot looking as Santiago, but they are less expensive to date. The food is excellent. I would recommend not missing Maido before you leave. Airalo for instance had the option to do both a data only package and a data / message / calling option. How that's any different than just having a SIM card I don't know but it is what it is. I went to multiple phone stores and no one would sell me a SIM card until I found online about how as of the beginning of this year they're no longer available without DNI. I used Airalo the whole time.

2. Taxis: traffic is bad in Lima. The driving is also insane. After being there for a few days in Ubers there is a sort of weird order to it but for the most part there's no following of lanes, turns, directions so if you were considering renting a car in Lima I'd advise you not to. I used uber the whole time. Prices were reasonable and quite frankly, cheap, compared to the states. I Also used one of the yellow taxi services to get to my hotel in Miraflores from the airport. The taxi stands are outside the airport doors and not inside the terminal. So when you arrive and have your luggage just walk out the doors to the outside and you'll see the various taxi stands. Don't take a taxi from a random person of which there are loads asking if you want a ride. I used a yellow taxi service upon arriving and the cost was 60 sols from the airport to Miraflores. There were options if you wanted a suv or a minivan with slightly higher prices. Uber is located across the road from the terminal. There were other official taxi service counters outside the door as well.

3. There is luggage storage area inside the airport on the arrivals level right next to the Oxxo store inside the terminal. This worked out well for me as on my last night I wanted to visit a chongo before leaving so it was easier to leave my luggage at the airport than at the hotel in Miraflores and do all the uber'ing back and forth plus did I mention traffic is awful and takes forever to get to places sometimes.

4. At the time of me going $1 usd is 3. 87 soles so honestly it's just easier to divide everything by 4. So for example the las Sirenitas girls all charged 50 sols for 20 minutes so that's basically $12.50 usd give or take a few cents here and there. Amazing!!

I was curious, so I did a little sleuthing around on the internet and found the below video (use captions guys if you don't understand Spanish). Is it safe to walk alone in the city to the clubs, parlours, chongos (staying in Miraflores), or is it preferable to find a wingman who knows the city?

Is the Lima sex scene something to be excited about (of course, not the level of Brazil, Colombia or DR), or not?

Would you take a girlfriend with you for this trip, or am I risking "taking sand with me to the beach".

I don't want to risk losing exciting sexual experiences for eating the same "steak with fries" every single night. Unless there's nothing to eat!

Having fun is the priority! Money is not a problem.

I want to make sure the ISG community is aware of the manner in which you behave with those who try to help you.

Your last minute request for 3 friends created a big challenge, however the friends you chose were able to make changes to their work or school schedules just to accommodate you and your friends.

To cancel the date just minutes away and when they were getting ready to meet you and your friends in such a uncaring and nonchalance attitude, because " they no longer like them " was not appreciated.

Please don't ever ask for help in this forum again.
