I was in Jarkata last month did go to Stadium for 2 night no police raid just a few flight broke out, but there might be a police raid when you are in town you can call the police station and ask them about that.

But seriously, if you tip the bar staff five or ten thou for your first drink, by the second, you'll be their friend. Just ask them if there's going to be a raid that night. They usually know. In fact, since they are the ones that usually sell whatever it is that the police are looking for, that's another clear signal: if nothing is available that night, it's usually because they are expecting a raid. I used to go there with a gang of friends, mixed bunch, about half Indonesians. One of them always used to call ahead and check with his mates there. I don't think raids ever happen there without the prior knowledge of management.

I stayed recently at MyHotel in Glodok on Jl Gajah Mada. Very basic hotel, but new, clean and cheap: under USD 25 when booking through Agoda. From there the MPs Berlian and Kartika and the disco Stadium are within walking distance, as well as the Lokasari / Mangga Besar brothels, and even the Pangeran Jayakarta MPs (15 min walk if you're in good health).

On the west side of Jl Gajah Mada, near the intersection with JL Mangga Besar Raya, there are several street vendors (they appear after sunset) that sell enhancement pills of various kinds, Cialis etc. I bought a 4-pack of the Chinese version (as it has always served me well) for 50 kRp, and true enough it gave the "rush" in the face after 20 minutes and was good for 5 sessions: An IndoCupid contact came to the hotel directly after her work and we had two sessions before dinner, two sessions after dinner and finally a glorious morning session.

The location of MyHotel is good in also another way since it is along the [b]Koridor 1 Busway[/b], so one can quickly go to BATs, Tigah Pula and Block M, at least before 11 pm (when I think the last bus runs). I have marked the route in the Jakarta Monger map in green colour.

Thanks Shuga for this information. Good to know. You mention about the Jakarta Monger Map. Where can I find it? Did you get girls from the places you mentioned or did you always have freelancers from dating sites? I like a LT just as you can get in Pattaya or BKK.

No signs of Ramadan activity, unlike Solo where I was before.

Thanks for the update- I booked a trip for Aug 3-5, forgetting about Ramadan. Does anyone know if the bars in the Kota area, like Bintang Mewar, etc, will also be closed?

Oh well Paulb ask a dumb question and he got a dumb answer, if you keep your nose clean and don't carry any drug you should be ok, police Raid they are looking for drug and bust the drug pusher even the Management kno about the raid he wouldn't tell all the staff.

In daytime the only Blok M mongering activities can be deployed in Hotel Melawai (Maribaya Bar) and in the "Hookers Graveyard" (name escapes me as a result of late hour).

Berlion and Kartika are closed, and a man in front of them said: "Augustus!". If it is true, may be they don't work all Ramadan long.

Hotel Travel has the entrance door locked, but it is open and fully working: it needs enter by hotel. The girls wear jeans&t-shirts, but they work as usual.

Also, no shortage of girls with nice asses and small-to-medium sized breasts. Suggestions? I'd suggest reading through some of the previous posts on this very forum to get a sense of how this wonderful city works and then, if you still need it, to come back with much more specific requests for information.

The following is my intention:
