LOL[/QUOTE]Picking up some non working girls: I'd suggest a shopping mall, like Rio Sul, during the daytime. In the evening try the bars and night clubs in Ipanema and Leblon. I have scored in both places, repeatedly. But I have also come to the conclusion that the effort and the inevitable drama that follows are not worth it. Plus, with a non-working girl there is absolutely no guarantee that you will get laid on the first date. With only a few precious days in Rio I would not want one wasted on chasing a non-pro. Brazilian girls are not falling all over themselves to hump a gringo; if they do, you know that they are likely GDPs. Bottom line: Renting works so much better than leasing, if you get my drift.

Okay. Hopefully someone can help me out here. I have been to Rio several times and believe me it sets the bar way high. I have familiar chicas I can hook up with and I am obviously a veteran when it comes to places to go. I am debating on whether to consider Medellin or Sosua this weekend or default to the old faithful Paradise. I have never been to the two aforementioned cities and I am curious to know which place would someone that has been to all three pick for this weekend? I really appreciate a prompt credible response! Thanks in advance!

You can't go wrong with any of them but I would pick Medellin. In my humble opioion MED is the next best place to Rio. You can find good quality girls for really cheap. Stay at the Casa Blanca since it is your first time. Greg, oyd and Robert will show you the ropes.

Do Greg or Robert arrange airport transpo or do you just have to cross your fingers with a cab?

If you can afford it stick to Rio unless you want to see new places.

Sosua is Margaritaville but quality isn't that good.

Medellin quality of working chicas has also taken a digger in last 4 years or so.

Been 25 times DR and Colombia in last 3 years.

Thanks fellow mongerers! Keep the feedback coming. I'm going to make a decision in the next hour. It appears with all the "crackdown" action in Sosua. That's more risk than reward. I like termas be / see at least the well established ones the girls have to get tested. Do they have the same compliance in MDE?

The casas in Medellin are a simple, enter, see a line-up, choose and go.

Good value, but not where you're going to hang out all day and relax and enjoy.

And Yes, you can have those guys, through their secretary, set up airport pickup.

Greg on the other hand basically just creates problems for Robert to fix! Yes the house they operate are worth staying at. MDE is probably in the top 5 of destinations in Latin America, maybe top 3!

Hit Termas Cancun on Rua Carno (sp?) tonight in Centro. Hadn't been there in about 3-4 months. Always like to have dinner nearby on the square up the street, always good. Was there with Churroman who, true to his name, consumed 3 churros today. That I know about.

Anyway, got to Cancun around 8. 45pm. Boate had a live guitar / drums duo playing Braz songs, not bad. Trouble was the 30 guys to 18 girls ratio. All Braz guys, standing around in robes drinking. Not really one hottie in the bunch of girls. Waited about 30 mins to see any change, and left. Whiskeria downstairs did appear fuller but we didn't take a look.

Entrada was only R$30. I couldn't tell if that was a special or normal these days at Cancun. Whiskeria was R$20 entada counted towards consumption.

Pretty bummed overall as I've had some luck at Cancun in the distant past.

For those of you who make regular trips to Rio, be sure to arrange your lodging early. Unlike in the past, it is not that easy to find apartments or even hotel rooms these days. Many short-term rentals are now being rented monthly and have been taken off the temporary rental market. Budget hotels no longer qualify as budget and even they have limited availability.
