My First Taste of the Lima's Chongos
My LATAM Peru flight touched down in Lima at 5 am. The Immigration took about an hour to clear, there was so much crowd but they were efficient, which still left me with another hour before the Airport Express bus began operating at 7 am that I wanted to try. Rather than wait at the airport, I called my hotel to see if there was any chance of an early check-in before 8 am. To my surprise, they happily accommodated my request and had a room ready for me by 7 am, along with a welcome complimentary Peruvian American breakfast with coffee and papaya juice. After an overnight flight, it was the perfect start to the trip.
After getting settled, I took a walk around the Lince neighborhood and checked out local market, massage places, Lince shopping mall. Since it was Sunday, most of the shops and all massage places were closed and the streets were unusually quiet with very little traffic with lanes closed for people to run. It was a nice to get a feel for the Lince area before heading out for the rest of the day.
My first chongo destination was Las Serenitas with a stop at Jr. Zepita along the way. The street talent on Jr. Zepita was better than what I've seen in several other Latin American cities. However, the interactions felt fairly mechanical like Tijuana Zona Norte, 50 Sol for 20 minutes, and even though I liked a few of them, none would be open for DFK which was fine with me as this was not primary destination.
I continued on to Las Serenitas chongo arriving around 1 pm. Paid 10 sols entry and got in, there were roughly a dozen girls there only with the first floor open, was told that second floor would be open after 4 pm, but enough to get a good first impression of the chongo, and I ended up getting three sessions from here, one peruvian, one colombian, and one from Ecaudor. After spending a couple of hours, I walked across the main road and visited several of the other chongos on Calle Taladros, including La Miel (5 soles entry fee), P La Colmena (5 sols entry fee), La Estacion (10 soles entry fee). I had one session each at La Miel and La Estacion, one Peru and One Ecaudor, didn't like the ones that were available at P Colmena. Like Las Serenitas, the venues were relatively less busier during the early afternoon, so I suspect the evenings are probably much busier. I picked each one after confirming they are good with DFK, paid 50 soles for 15-20 minutes plus 0-50 Sols additional for DFK. I must say Ecuador girls are great kissers.
Overall it was a great first sampling day of Chongos in Lima. After hearing so much about the city's famous chongos, I can say the reputation is well deserved. Every place had its own atmosphere, and while Sunday afternoon wasn't the busiest time to visit, it gave me a good opportunity to explore without the crowds. I'm looking forward to returning over the next few days to experience more of what Lima chongos has to offer.
Lima Chongo Report (Continued): The Remaining Spots & My Verdict
After checking out the four chongos in LOS Olivos area in Northern Lima on my first day, Las Sirenitas, La Miel, P La Colmena, and La Estacion, I figured it would be a disservice not to visit the other chongos in Lima.
My first stop was Geishas in Ate, and it turned into a complete fiasco. I got there around 4:45 pm, right in the middle of a shift change. I bought my ticket and went inside, where about ten guys were waiting, while another twenty or so were outside. The staff was cleaning the rooms, and the girls were all waiting outside. After waiting around for a good 45 minutes with nothing happening, I gave up and booked an Uber to La Clinica del Corazon.
I arrived at La Clinica del Corazon around 6 pm, and the place was absolutely packed. There were guys everywhere. I'm not sure if it was because Fiestas Patrias was starting over the next two days and everyone was already off work, but it was definitely the busiest place I had seen. The entrance fee was a little higher at 15 soles, but it included a small sweet cocktail served in a shot glass on a tray which was actually pretty good. By coincidence, I ran into a petite Colombian girl I had met the previous day at Las Sirenitas, she recognized me and so I ended up having a session with her for 100 soles for 40 minutes with DFK.
After that, I headed to Mall Aventura for dinner at Norky's. Once I finished eating, I took another Uber to Los Olivos and visited both P La Colmena and La Estacion. La Estacion was by far the busiest, and after visiting all these places, I can definitely see why, the girls here are young and pretty. I picked one girl from each Chongo, one young slim Peruvian and the other one busty Ecuadorian. proposed several girls that I will do two sessions, together 40 minutes for 100 soles but with DFK, most refused on the DFK part, but these two girls gladly accepted.
I also stopped by Sumisa Club across from La Estacion just out of curiosity, but it was a disappointment. There were only four girls and four guys sitting around a table, and it didn't have anything close to the atmosphere of the other chongos. A minor annoying incident was the guy at the entrance shortchanged me. I handed him 20 soles, but he insisted I had only given him 10 and wouldn't give the change, I didn't want to argue in a rough looking area in my broken Spanish.
After spending the last three days visiting all these seven chongos, here's my personal ranking: 1. La Estacion, 2. Las Sirenitas, 3. P La Colmena. I know some of the reports placed Las Sirenitas at the top. For context, I visited most of these places between early afternoon and late evening and never stayed past 10 pm. I imagine some of them probably have a completely different vibe after midnight, so your experience could be different.
11 pm - 1 am connection flight and Chongo visit possible?
Hi all,
I am visiting Peru in the coming August.
I will be connecting through lima on August 24th, landing at 10 pm and flying out to Cusco at 7 am the next morning.
I am wondering, with this time frame, do I have enough time to visit on of the Chongos near the airport?
I hypothesize that I can land at 10 pm, clear custom and arrive my hotel at the airport by 11 pm, taxi out and visit Chongo till 1 am, come back and sleep and go to the airport again 5 in the morning.
Does this sound feasible? Is it easy to find a uber to take me to and back to the chongos late at night?
Thank you.
