Hi there,
Consider this. I am a seasoned mongerer but am still unwilling (not incapable) of using my Credit Card. I also disagree with another post here, where the insinuation was, that the members here are looking for cheap (1K to 2 K) range. I have read the posts here & that of Bombay & Poona pages. I am sure that the the Bombay group are looking for a good time. Cost does not matter. What matters is not being taken for a ride. Read my post in that forum, where I suggested two ladies, but made it a point requesting the member not to pay more than a certain amount, so that we members control the price quotient & do not spoil it for other members. Returning to 20 $ point. Why should one go through that silly option of putting cash in an Envelope & posting it? What if it is intercepted by Customs / DRI? Is it not a Revenue offence, covered by FEMA? It does not matter whether the amount is 1$ or 1000$. It is a Crime. There are many more aspects. The RBI regulations require that any purchase made in Foreign Currency in any financial year must reflect in your Accounts. Jackson might well say that the Statement of Bill would show that you have given in charity, but, does that obviate the fact that we would be falsifying accounts for a mere Fuck?
I am willing to go on Record & ask Jackson to find a method of receiving money in India in Indian Currency & I will be ready to pay double I. E, equivalent of 40$. Name an account number & I will deposit the amount in any members account. If Jackson has an account anywhere in USA or Europe etc, I am sure most of us can arrange a wire transfer or request a friend to pay by western union. But, there is no way that I will request a friend to transmit cash by Post in the US knowing it may be a federal offence.
So, Bionicman, there is much more to it than what appears so simple. Sorry if this post appears as a sermon, but I thought I would spell out my mind as an answer from most of us. You are right in this fact, when I am willing to spend for a female, the above are my apprehensions for 20$.
TR
I agree with what TR has to say and it is not a matter of not bing able to afford $20, just that I am not comfortable for personal reasons to have a transaction on my credit card even if it is disguised as charity. I'm not known to be a charitable person. On the contrary I have lost more money due to not bein a member and with no access to experience and Information from seniors here, but then that is part of the process. I am by aware of FEMa or regulations but so far have been constrained due to logistical issues from physically posting the money Across the borders.
