It is consider top end massage place with better lookers but also bigger rates and tips. Not too bad for the price if you don't do it too often as the bills could pile high quickly.

I had proposed in another thread for a night out and a few beers in Manila. The night would be Sunday April 16 I think.

Any local expats or other forum members want to meet?

Been to both twice and agree with Freezone. The lookers were better looking the first time I was there. If you have a layover in Manila I might suggest staying at the hotel between them.

I have been in MBC cafe yesterday (Saturday night) at around 11. 30 pm (have you been there also this time, WC?)

Very crowded, hundreds of girls there. Ratio maybe 5:1. Mostly asian customers (95%) , Koreans and Japanese. Many good looking girls this time.

Upstairs (150 php entrance now) there was a live band playing but almost empty. All activity was in the basement around the bar, with the pool tables in also full backdoor room.

I found my hookup for the night within 5 minutes at the poolside corner. Eye contact with her, signed her to hold on and strolled around if there is still better, finally came back to her, winked her to me with my eyes only nd she came over.

Get agreement with her and we left w / o having the time and need for a drink.

What was the damage? Did she stay all night? The thing I can't understand about many of the gals I find in MNL is that they seem so eager (desperate?) to meet you, but then once the deed is done they are in a big fkn hurry to leave. I rarely get that in Cebu or AC.

As Rampana noted, it seems that the bands upstairs at MBC (formerly LA Cafe) aren't drawing the action they used to. Years ago I saw the Philippine folk star Freddie Aguilar at LA cafe, but now he has his own bar up near the Rothman hotel. Even on the weekend, the upstairs wasn't happening. I can't say the music was terribly bad, but it wasn't very danceable.

Also hit Cowboy Grill Ermita, and the band was heavy with AC / DC. WIth only one visit I can't really make any kind of review, but I would think it is much more fun if you go with a big group.

Ram[/QUOTE]I'm agreeing with Ramp? Yes, I try to limit my time in MBC to 30 minutes. Unless I like the band upstairs, I don't usually even buy a drink. I can usually get in, seal the deal, and get out in 20-30 minutes. Sometimes I have to chat more than one girl, but usually not. I'm not there to drink and chat the ladies, I'm there to get a LT and get after it.

[/QUOTE]My personal experience, is that if you make a deal with a freelancer in Manila / Makati, they stick to it for the majority of the time. I had one problem with one woman from LA Cafe who didn't stick to her word and made up excuses. I probably should have seen it coming given her looks and clothing and attitude, so I chalk it up to my fault for being fooled. But honestly, my experience with the freelancers there has been pretty damn good, and most of the time the deed is off the hook.

In regards to upstairs, I don't think it has anything to do with the bands. Something happened after this place got raided. Hardly anyone goes up there now, period. Not exactly sure why. My thing with them is, it's kind of expensive to ask the women to pay to go upstairs and not get a drink out of it or something but that has gone on for so long. I don't pay to go upstairs unless there are people up there and for whatever reason it's mostly empty now. The normal Asian crowd that was up there now pretty much is all over downstairs but mainly in the far room to the right. The number of people hasn't been the same since the raid in my view.

When you park, there are three separate places inside to "choose" girls. I guess room rates are different at each one. We went by the girls we liked the best (we went to all three first to look). I actually got 2 girls. 1500 ea plus 2000 for room. Was great experience and would try it again (actually trying different places)

I just wish there was a way to know their menu when choosing.

vogel[/quote]go onto manila craigslist under 'therapeutic services' and scan the massage ads. select one that lists makati as a service area (they all will) , and that mentions 'tantric', 'sensual', 'body to body', or anything else that sounds even vaguely promising. then text or call the number on the ad, specifying your preferences, eg, a slim gal, a gal with large breasts, etc, and make it clear that you want hand service, or full-service, or whatever. generally a gal will be at your place within 30-45 mins. massage only is generally around 400-500 pesos, with more tacked on for the extras. up to around 3000 for full-service.

another option is to walk down p burgos and get a calling card from one of the many scrub-suit clad gals on the street. then call the number and tell the manager your preferences. all the gals are well trained in proper massage (combination swedish and asian style) and most of them will also provide a happy ending if you want, for an extra fee. a one-hour massage in your room will be 500 pesos, and with a happy ending, one thousand pesos total will be enough.

third option is to check your room for a phone book with yellow pages (commercial services). under 'massage' or 'health services' there will be lots of ads. however, if you really do want a good, skillful massage along with the extras, make sure you tell the manager when you call as some of these places are really just escort services where the gals really don't know how to give a real massage.

You get the japs, koreans, and the girls who can afford to go up, and the band is left with not too many fish. .

Every time I go to LAC, I go up, and despite me being able to waive off the cover upstairs, I pay. (don't ask me how I can waive off my cover. No, it's not slipping in or acting dumb.)

As for the people being lesser, it has more to do with the reduced arrival of japs and koreans, to Phil, or so I am told.

My 3rd trip to Manila, previously tried the KTV's Asia Network (?) , Miss Universe and LA Cafe.

Now was eager to try Burgos, which for a complete noob wasn't all that easy to find.

Firstly, I RTFF about hotels, and the first 5-6 hotels I tried were all fully booked, so ended up with St Giles as was recommended by some other guys in the hotel thread. Then in my room opened Google map and searched Burgos Manila, and there is a street called that in Manila, but far away from Makati so I figured this can not be it.

Then tried other searches, ended up searching the Manila hotel thread and found that Oxford hotel supposedly is right next to P. Burgos, and Oxford was in Google maps. Still no Burgos to be seen, then scrolled in to more detailed map and there it was, right next to Oxford and right next to my hotel!

Tuesday night in Burgos is quiet! Not sure if it is like this every Tuesday, but there was nothing happening in the street. Only a few massage girls handing out cards. Went into every bar on the right hand side starting from the bottom at Pussycat and moving up to Divino. All dead, well there were girls, but none to few customers and little life. Divino stood out, as it had Russian, Czech an Israeli and local girls, doing some erotic dancing but all with strings and bras on. Some of the girls there were really hot, but was informed there was no outtake, only private dance at 1500PHP, so had my beer and left. FYI; They had a promotion, all you can drink beer for 500, until 2am, good deal if you are up for it, but I am sure it will cost you a few ladies drink too if you don't want to be seen as a loner.

In the other bars I dare say the quality was disappointingly low. Maybe my expectations were too high, or maybe it was because it was Tuesday, but didn't really see much difference from LA Cafe and here. I did not see any stunners or 9-10's, maybe a couple of 8's but max 2-3.

I also like to walk into a place, have a look and get my bearing, but it is difficult when there are no other customers there as you are immediately approached by girls who will sit with you, and I am too soft to shoo them away. So not too successful a night. In that sense I appreciated LA Cafe, where I could sit down, have a beer and a pizza while checking out the talent without being hazzled.
