Bangkok Hotels

This might have been mentioned in the past but just in case, if you're a regular in one of the BKK hotels you stay in it is always worthwhile asking for corporate rates. They are far more better than the published rates and usually better than the cheapest rates that you can find on online travel agents such as [URL]booking.com[/URL], Agoda, etc.

I just clinched a good deal with one of my regular BKK hotels which saves me about 1500 bath spread over 5 nights comparing with the price I get from [URL]booking.com[/URL].

Visiting Bangkok after a while and decided to stay at On 8 Sukhumvit. Can someone please confirm that it is Girl Friendly? Thanks much in advance!

You must have never been to South America to places like Venezuela and Brazil.

I'm a regular at the Hyatt all around the world and I have a corporate rate with them through my own company. Sometimes the corporate rate is cheaper than the members rate but sometimes it isn't. It's useful to join the hotel frequent stay program anyway if you travel a lot. The corporate rate is set by the individual hotel, so sometimes I can get the best rate at the Hyatt Sukhumvit and Grand Hyatt but a better members rate at the Park Hyatt.

Tanned was considered to look "healthy" in my country but eventually the tanning salon solariums were banned. For most of us oldies, we were unaware we were destroying our skin by getting too much sun, when young, despite the high rates of skin cancers.

This is just one of things that make Thais thing Farangs are really dumb. Farang girls that tanned a lot became old hags. Thai village girls often got too much sun and also became old hags.

Yet the first time we saw Thai girls walking in Phuket midday sun under an umbrella (no rain), we laughed, right?

Alcohol destroys the liver but many guys spend more in alcohol rather than pussy. Smoking destroys the lungs but many people smoking. In P4P there is a risk of STD. Etc. So why you worry about who like to take sunbathing?

On 8 Sukhumvit is near Nana BTS. I stayed there in 2016. It is girl friendly. But I did not like the hotel. There was no window in my room. Last year I stayed at S15, a much better hotel.

Definitely great for older people who struggle with walking or going up stairs in the BKK heat. Rooms are good for the price but I can't get past the lack of a window in the room. My room had a wall with a frosted treatment to make it look like a window but still no window. If no windows are ok for you I would recommend this hotel.

I said I did not like the hotel because it didn't have a window. Your post may be helpful to the OP Bmwman.

I have always liked staying at the Mermaid Hotel Soi 29. This time I was upset at the condition and the fact that the owner is not taking care of this Hotel. The walls are falling apart inside of the rooms. It rained and I asked why they do not have umbrellas in the rooms and the reply was that they do not supply them and that I can buy in the stores.

I moved next door to the Legacy Suites. Same price but what a difference. Large clean rooms, a wonderful breakfast; Mermaid does not include breakfast unless you pay and additional $10.00 a night. I highly recommend Legacy hotel to all that want to stay in the higher numbered Soi's. Soi 22 is right across Suk and 24 is a short walk.

BTW, there is and Irishman (Bill) that has a small resto M&J on 29. Best tasting Thai food in Bkk. His wife is Essan.

Deluxe Double room at Studio Asoke was suprisingly spacious at 1260 Baht. They may have smaller cheaper rooms. My room had a sofa and plenty of space.

Newly constructed Hotel. Next to Pullman and accross road from FURAMA fx. That means about 300 metres from Soi Cowboy so easy walk.

Room has no bathtub but otherwise fairly complete including safe. Comfortable bed. OK for economic long stay. Possibly has no Breakfast but can eat very close by.

I truly enjoy the room service and the quality of the food they deliver in the 5 stars hotels in Bangkok. With or without the boobs.

Got this message today from the hotel, in case somebody needs the info. I have also been considering Pullman and Sofitel, but Soi 11 seems nicer street (google street view), than the other 2 locations.

I totally agree with you, Soi 11 is a great location and a lot of good and cheap hotels.
