Prostitution is not legal in Thailand
Prostitution by legal definition is illegal in Thailand.
My point exactly!
What you are arguing is that to consenting adults can have a monetary transaction for sex, and that in itself may or may not fall under the legal definition of prostitution. It depends on the circumstances.
I have already stipulated to this point.
So, instead of arguing whether prostitution is illegal or not in Thailand, you too should be analyzing whether or not certain activities that all of the guys here, including me, fall under the legal definition of prostitution or not. Based on that, guys can decide how to engage in this hobby safely.
This is an excellent idea. I will start with my favorite way to make contact with girls in Thailand: Thai Friendly.
Section 7 Whoever advertises or agrees to advertise, induces, or introduces with documents or printed material, or acts by any other means to distribute information to the public in an obvious manner of solicitation or communication for prostitution of that person or of any other person, shall be punished with imprisonment of six months to two years, or a fine of ten thousand to forty thousand baht, or both.
https://mekongmigration.org/labourlaw/images/labourlaw/pdf/thailand/49%20Prostitution%20Prevention%20and%20Suppression%20Act%201996.pdf
So, dealing with girls on Thai Friendly I do not discuss money or sexual acts on the site itself. I tell girls I would like to meet them. Ask them to move over to Line or WhatsApp in order to discuss private details. I simply don't talk to girls that want to discuss details on the site. Even though that limit me. I still have more girls that agree to speak with me privately in order to make the arrangements that consenting adults over the age of 18 like to do!
BOOYAO!
Only the Act's plain language definition of Prostitution is not legal in Thailand

However, if your publicly observable profile states something like "Lonely American Looking to Pay Women For Sex" and her publicly observable profile states something like "Older Lady Who Looks Nothing Like Her Photos Seeks Sex With Anyone In Exchange For Money" and the owner of TF allows those profiles to exist on their site, all three of you could get busted for it at any moment because that would be illegal.
Otherwise, if the owners and management of TF forbid its subscribers from even discussing sex for money in person-to-person conversations about it on their site and bans anyone who does it, that's a personal business decision made by the proprietors of TF and nothing to do with Section 7 of that Act or what is specifically defined as illegal Prostitution in the Thai Code or Act, the only version of Prostitution between consenting adults deemed to be illegal under Thai law.
Selective Enforcement is why Soi 6 can continue to operate!
Nuisance? Hardly. Visitors to Soi 6 (or Soi Cowboy) know what to expect and that is why they go there. They are not being annoyed. If so, they would turn around after venturing down / up the soi a mere 10 meters. Then, you have "community standards". I'd suggest that the same activities and conduct allowed on Soi 6 would be frowned upon at the Grand Palace or what Pho in BKK. Just my 2 satang.
Sam.
Have you read what the law says:
Section 4
Prostitution means the acceptance of sexual intercourse, the acceptance of any
other act, or the commission of any other act for sexual gratification of another person in a
promiscuous manner for remuneration or any other benefit, irrespective of whether the person
who accepts such act and the person who commits such act are of the same or opposite sex;
Prostitution Establishment means the place or premises arranged for prostitution or
allowed for prostitution, and shall include the place used for making contact or procuring
another person for prostitution;
Section 5
Whoever, for the purpose of prostitution, offers, solicits, introduces
oneself to, follows, or importunes another person on a street, in a public place, or any other
place and such act is overtly and shamelessly committed or causes nuisance to the public,
shall be punished with a fine not exceeding one thousand baht.
Section 6
Whoever congregates with another person in a prostitution
establishment for the benefit of prostitution of that person or of another person shall be
punished with imprisonment not exceeding one month, or a fine not exceeding one thousand
baht, or both.
It is impossible for anyone to reads the law (who understands English and Legal Language) and has been down Soi 6 to tell me that according to the legal definition of Prostitution, Prostitution Establishment it does not exist on Soi 6 along with Violations of Section 5 and Section 6 occurring from the moment the venues on Soi 6 open until they close.

Got to give it to him Nyezhov is remarkably consistent!
When has Nyezhov even last been in Thailand. I don't see any trip reports just him talking a lot of his male bovine excrement.
I'm old enough to remember when both areas were worth a trip, one weekend Nana, one weekend Patpong, one weekend Cowboy but those days are long gone. Occasional visitors shouldn't waste their time.
I really haven't bothered with either since I was living in Thonburi, and could stop in Patpong first. But when I am schlepping in from Tao Poon or Siem Reap, why bother?
I like my venues to be the best, with the best women. Nana. Because you may find a gem doesn't mean that its worth everyone's time. But, if I hole up in Silom or Thonburi again, I'm sure that for sheer variety I will cruise around.
Nyezhov continues to go one-on-one with me. It is going well for him.
Quote every one you can find boy LOL. You are the one chasing me around LOL.
You have completely forgot that you have a long history of RANTS about ladyboys.

Check Ball!
Of course I have. Many times.
You been to Soi 6 lately?
Real Talk for Real Life
There is not one bar on Soi 6 with a sign outside advertising Sex For Money the way weed shops can now post signs advertising weed for money. There is not one bar with staff outside shouting the sale of Blowjobs and Fucking in exchange for money in front of a group of pedestrians and never if there is a police officer close enough to hear or see it. Not even on Soi 6.
Dude, when you leave a Soi 6 bar or any Thai massage shop with a favorite P4 P lady, the two of you really don't need to run to your room in an S pattern, zig-zaging down the Soi shouting "Serpentine! Serpentine!" in order to avoid shots fired by Thai police hot on the trail of any hookers and their customers who have not violated any Thai law to be found in any legally enforceable document.
Thai police are not after you for what you and your lady just did and are on your way to continue doing. Really. You can relax. You and she would have to wear sandwich board signs with your intentions spelled out in Thai with neon lights along Soi 6 and Beach Road as well as Soi 4 and Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok before the police even notice you and before you come within a mile of what Thai law states clearly in plain language what they specifically deem to be illegal in Thailand.
I hate to burst the romanticized and Hollywood dramatic image of yourself being so street smart and clever to outfox the Thai police at every turn, to brilliantly dodge being arrested and charged with a crime because of your world-wise method of avoiding certain words in a person-to-person conversation on ThaiFriendly, looking both ways for any sign of the fuzz on the mean streets of Pattaya and Bangkok before you enter or exit a bar or massage shop, the Serpentine running to and from your room with a lady and all that.
But the fact is you are getting away with it because there is no law against what you or your consenting adult ladies are doing of a sexual nature in Thailand, money involved or no money involved. The Thai police are not even paying attention to you. There is no legal reason for them to pay attention to you.
Elmer Fudd from Podunk, USA can and will avoid being noticed and targetted for arrest for any sexual or prostitution crime whatsoever by the Thai police just as effectively as you and your P4 P ladies have done as long as he also confines his activities to consenting adults and also does not wear one of those neon lit sandwich board signs with his intentions spelled out on it even if he just stepped off the plane an hour earlier and has no idea a Thai Penal Code or Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act exists.
OMG. Now we're on to the Thai definition of Promiscuous
Whatever the Thai word for it is or if it accurately translates into English, I'm going with Thai Law's version of "in a promiscuous manner" to be closer to random and indiscriminate as McDonalds advertises and sells hamburgers randomly and indiscrimantly to anyone and everyone who has money to buy a hamburger and nothing to do with how many partners a hooker or a customer has had in their lifetimes.
Even without being in the room at the time I am 100% certain no Thai police officer has interrogated a prostitute they rounded up for "openly and shamelessly" soliciting for prostitution "in a public place causing a nuisance to the public" after an annoyed hotel or restaurant proprietor filed a complaint about how the crowds of prostitutes and their potential customers were making their lovely newly renovated facade look by asking Noi how many customers she had that week and then charging her with an additional and non existent Prostitution-related crime because her response was 2 more than the "in a promiscuous manner" Thai law limit.
promiscuous meaning in english
promiscuous
/prəˈmiskyəwəs/
Promiscuous means having many different sexual partners or relationships, usually without emotional commitment.
You can learn more detailed usage in the Cambridge Dictionary or the Merriam-Webster Dictionary.
General and Broad Meanings
The word also has non-sexual meanings that describe things mixed together randomly or done without careful choice:
Indiscriminate: Selecting or using things carelessly without a plan (e.g., a "promiscuous" reader who reads any book they find).
Mixed elements: A random or disorderly mixture of various people or things.
Technical (Networking): A promiscuous mode allows a network device to intercept and read all network traffic.
Synonyms
Casual
Indiscriminate
Random
Licentious
And I am also 100% certain that no Thai translation of it applies to a consenting adult person-to-person conversation discussing and negotiating the exchange of money for sex and sex for money anywhere in Thailand, the parties involved walking in a normal pattern to and from whatever private quarters they intend to engage in it or all during their engagement in it even if it is the 4th such engagement for the prostitute that day and the 3rd one for her customer.
