Now I wouldn't want to "exploit" a working girl but in my humble opinion most of these girls are just spoilt brats that are too lazy or influenced by social media and want to punch above their "class" / upbringing (nothing wrong with wanting more from life) and they choose the easiest way to attempt this, spreading their legs. End of story.

I am not denying that there will very likely be guys pimping out girls or taking advantage of girls and whatnot but unless I really see a girl getting exploited I will always try to think of me and my wallet first. And the girl second.

I always treat them nicely. And if the girl provides good service I also tip or pay for drinks / food. But man I will not let a hoe take advantage of me (at least I will try not to xD).

Cover charge is the charge to enter. Like a cover charge. Barfine is not a term used in Colombia, but I know what you mean and I don't think it is that common. Perhaps in some of the strip clubs. Not sure.

And those charges would be the onsite charges. Not all night and not leaving the club. And presuming they are an hour more or less.

If you take the girl to the rooms next / above the bar, you only pay the girl's fee (400 or 600 K). There must be some arrangement where the girl gets part of it.

For good service, you should give a 10% Tip to the girl.

If you want to take the girl to your hotel, you pay a bar fine—I do not know how much as I have never tried it.

If price is an issue, go to the bars in Centro. One night, a friend and I got drunk and ended up at a strip bar in a bad part of town where the girls were charging 100 K. Looking back what we did was stupid, don't try it.

Speaking about flights, I want to rant! Why the hell did Avianca eliminate the direct LAX to Bogota route. The clerk said something about a rumour of Avianca not being able to get a license; that doesn't make sense. What was once a 6.5 hour direct flight is now a 10 hour flight with a layover in El Salvador.

But at a strip club 2 blocks from the nutty (and thus 2 streets from Centro) it was 80 mil for Medio with bbj. 100 mil for BBFS. It was the one where you enter the rooms through the dj booth. It's near Centro. But when I hear "bad area of town" I think a place you are going to get robbed and assaulted .2 blocks from the nutty is a fully lite street and a busy street isn't a bad part of town.

Now should you be walking actually in Centro at that hour. No. But that's not where the strip club is. I'm too gringo to know what the bad part of town is.

But I'm just catching up.

Not true in Medellin or Bogota. My Spanish is beyond horrible and I'm finding girls that speak English. Now granted it's more Bogota than Medellin. But it's really not true that you have to pay a huge premium. I don't say that to be cheap. But paying more doesn't result in a better experience. I've paid all ranges. I'm typically paying 200 mil for spinner university girl 18 to 21 for 2 to 3 hours+ BBFS.

I am pretty experienced at this point. But back when I was not and just using seeking that was my experience too. Girls that charged a lot tended to have GPS and the experience just was not as good.

And I'm in no way shape or form directing this at you. I don't know you. But I think age, personality, weight. Etc CAN play a factor. Money is an easy substitute for some. Or luck maybe. And people that go after surgery Instagram models / pros will have to pay more. Because the market for some reason puts a premium on that. But I think the different factors that go into this are things that every guy should have a realistic sense of where they fall and I think that can translate into price.

I don't take issue with people paying more. But it's just not true that it's automatic that you have to. And I make this response to provide a little more context for other guys. Because it's not the same for everyone.

I did notice many younger males in line and they slowed down the process quite a bit. The young, single males in line were getting questioned much more at the front booth and this made it much longer to get through. Heck, 75% of the non-Colombian airline passengers were young men 20-30, probably sex tourists!

Sadly, this mayor is hurting his own businesses and using one or two examples of underaged girls to blast his political agenda. There will always be a case or two. Here the Mayor's own police were at fault for releasing the American suspect from jail the next day because he was "not caught in the act" of doing anything illegal to the 2 underaged girls found in his hotel room, and the suspect promptly left the country. It makes no sense to punish his own businesses, by requiring they close early for 2 weeks, and pay his police officers overtime to set up ID checks in the Parque Lleras area. He is simply trying to get re-elected as a protector of the Medellin families. Political stunts.

[/QUOTE]That is very rarely, if ever, the case for girls going into this business. It may be a reason they stay in the business after getting accustomed to it, but no woman is brought up to want to be (as you so eloquently called them) a "hoe. " The majority of women are doing this because they are very poor and have no other real options. A place like Columbia doesn't have a vibrant social advancement platform and it is much harder to improve your situation with a lot of the barriers in the way. Abuse, at a young age, is rampant in the sex work community as well, either from family or friends and at the emotional or sexual level.

As countries advance, there are more and more women who do sex work to just make some spare cash in college, but Columbia is not that place. It's why so many mongers in the west complain about the prices of women here because those women have minimum wage options and are doing sex work to avoid that. We go to places like Thailand and Columbia to use arbitrage and pay poorer girls for their service.

There is no need to hide from that truth. As long as we pay a fair wage and treat the girls nicely, there is nothing wrong this. Sex work shouldn't be looked down upon, least of all by the johns, and we should all expect a level of respect from the girls and vice versa.
