Decided to heed the logical advice of several posters on this thread to buy my Viagra in BKK ‘cause it’s cheap, but my condoms at home ‘cause the home variety are supposedly larger, better, and less likely to break at that most critical moment. Went to Wal-Mart - the American icon of value. Picked out a box of 12 of USA’s finest rubbers. Brought them home. Only then looked closely at the box. “Made in Thailand,” it said. Hummm.

Yes, isn't that strange; but, apparently they are export only because you have a hard time finding larger condoms here. It's not impossible, but difficult. Some of the Thai manufacturers do market a larger condom in Thailand. It's better to bring your own favorite brand from the States. I tried the regular Thai brand Durex once and couldn't get it on because it was too small. Others have reported that they break easily because they are streached too much on a farang schlong. Never tried the larger ones so I can't comment. Try the web site for condom depot: they have some very interesting items.

They are bigger and a bit more expensive (I think 58 Baht for 3 available in every 7/11). I allways stock up in Thailand and carry them to HK and China, because I didn't find them outside Thailand yet. They come in black boxes. Don't mistake them with Kingtex, which are too small.

I visited an STD clinic in Aus last year, after an encounter with someone dodgy, and although I was OK, I was informed by the expert doctor that it is entirely possible to get it that way, and Syph and Gon, if it is also there. However, he said, and most resources now say ( and don't treat this as an excuse to go bareback) that Hep C is pretty much impossible to contract unless you have an infected knob.

Chalymidia is however fucken rampant, and rarely has symptoms in both sexes until too late, so beware.

Anyone who goes bareback with a working girl is a fucken idiot, like not wearing a seatbelt, eventually your luck will run out!

No, I have never tried them. When I need comdoms I order them over the internet. There is a special one my GF really likes called the Ria Wrangler. It has raised ribs on the head and raised dots on the shaft for that "rough" ride.

It is pretty easily treatable with antibiotics. Some of the other bugs are much harder to treat as we all know.

The Durex 54mm nominal width with bulb shaped knob is avail these days in most 7/11 in Sukhumwit area. This is a thin condom with comfortable fit for good feeling (big enough for most guys but maybe not all). Packet is dark blue with a small pink streak.

A couple of years back seemed to have to go to patpong to get them.

Standard Thai size is 49mm (small) and 52mm is the common medium size.

I have seen size 56mm is Germany but not in Thailand.

Most girls prefer the smooth "Riap" style but some may like rough ones.

Good lube is essential as lack of lube is sure way for condoms to break (or rubbing against a girl with a sponge inside is another way to break condoms) . KY is is crap (too sticky), although the newer KY warming liquid is a big improvement. Lubafax a little better.

Condomi (available in Germany) make really big tubes of really great lube gel (also Ritex) that is not sticky and almost tasteless. Never found anything else as good. Not sure if can be bought in other countries.

In Thailand the Durex "Play" is o.k. gel but still on the sticky side. I go for this one if I run out.

Put your lube in your checked in luggage. There is no problem in doing that, the only liquid bans are in carry on, and even then it is only on some very limited routes.
