As an African-American who doesn't speak any of the common languages of Greece, am I setting myself up for a bad time? I don't look a goddamned thing like a Greek, and that "No foreigners" shit got played out the 1 or 2 times it happened to me in Bali. Thinking of visiting Greece early next year after getting Cuba out of the way, but I don't want to go just to find out that I'd have a better chance getting laid elsewhere. Also, are there Arabic girls working *inside* any of these establishments? My morals are corrupted to the point that I'd go looking for one, but I'd at least want to bang one from a Studio so I know she's getting a respectable cut of the fee.

I don't see why they would not have you. Only once in Athens did I hear - "Greek only" before I even got in the door but I wondered if this may refer to language barrier rather than some joint exclusive to Greek visitors. The mamasan may not know enough English to have the hassle of dealing with us. No matter, I simply moved on to the next brothel with no problem. In Bali (which I'm well acquainted with) the fear may have been down to a mythology about frightening size, and occasionally Girls there even refuse Europeans based on this fear, which is annoying. Arrived in Athens this afternoon with a nasty gut infection. So don't really feel like heading out for fun.

Started off closer to where I'm staying. Metaxourgeio, Kolonou, Omonia, Sofokleous, Evripidou. I understood these are the lower end places, and rougher. But they were close. Filis was not.

I left the hotel around 11:00 pm Friday night.

Never mongered here. So my expectation was to find a lot of ground floor brothels with a single light outside (white / red?) and then a bunch of streetwalkers / Africans hanging about.

In truth. I walked for 90 min and saw no streetwalkers at all, no hookers, no brothel area, no nothing. The only active area (for humans) was by Omonia and that was just a bunch of immigrant drug dealers that walk along beside you asking if you want some of their product. No hookers what-so-ever. Also from time to time I'd be walking though a shithole area and come upon a hip bar with people dinging outside and drinking. Watching me slink by.

If you look at the map. At 'Point A' (roughly) I did find 3 joints - 2 of them white lights and one of them a pink / red light. I went inside two of them (doors open) and there were stairs. One of them had hearts and cutout paper leading up the hall. Both ended on the 1st floor with a door and buzzer. There was a peephole and camera. I rang and knocked on both doors but no-one opened the door. (I'm white, 40 yo, presentable, businessman).

Wasn't sure what I was getting into here. So left the watch, credit cards, most of the money at home. Just a burner wallet with couple hundred euro. The area was much more run down than I would have expected. I'm not a criminal but even I wanted to to mug myself on some of those streets! Doh. It's like a mashup between San Jose Costa Rica (after 1 am), and Villa Mimosa (Brazil). I wasn't hassled at all, but I can see how problems might happen - 11 pm sketchy - 2 am. Not sure I'd try it. (at least that's the vibe I got).

I guess I'm not looking in the right places? The streets in Red are where I walked.

Took a taxi to the top of Filis. I saw on wordsexwiki (or whatever) that there were 3 strip clubs within easy grasp of Filis. (one at top and two a street over to the left). You walk in the door and sometimes immediately are in the main room. Other times have to go upstairs or downstairs. An older lady (sometimes a man) is there to tell you to wait, or tell you 20 euro. A girl comes out 70% of the time. On average the girls tonight were good bodies, average to not so great faces. Didn't see anything truly horrible.

Went with 5 girls:

- All 20 e (tip not expected).

- BBBJ in one, the others covered.

- Dining at the why. Requested with 2 girls / both agreed.

- Sex was totally average in 4 of the 5 - the 5th could have been good if I were into it (I wasn't).

Crossing Athens off my list, fun enough if you're into the Amsterdam window experience, (10-20 min, mechanical, condom, heartless) but not really my scene anymore (once would have been).

I'm resigned to that whenever in Athens because the customer flow is far more busy and in the 10 Euro area (the name of which I have forgotten again) they clarify an even strict shorter time to finish within (it was something like 10 or 15 minutes), meaning someone needs to arrive absolutely fully loaded and already right on the edge to ensure nothing goes wrong. Just so happy to have access to all that quim for 25/50 guilders a pop (or whatever it was back then). Tbh, for a one time or quick visitor, it's what Greece does well. You do need to get into the swing of it, getting fired up quite quickly though (most places will show you to a room where you have a few minutes to 'unwind' before the 'lady' arrives. Otherwise vitamin "V" is your best buddy).
