I was hitting this girl in Sosua over 3 years ago. I think she told me she was 20 years old and in medical school at the time when I met her in front of Classico (I think she was there for her Human Anatomy class or something. Hehehe!) A guy who I know from the barber shop at home who I accidentally ran into in Sosua was coincidentally boning her sister (who now she admits is actually her cousin) as well. She talked about how she wanted to get married and have a family. Being the player that I am, of course I was not with that. Well a couple of years ago she found some guy from Canada to knock her up and marry her. I just added her to my facebook over 3 years later and for her birthday it says 1990....

Curious so when you smashed was it technically legal in DR? In majority of the states if a female is 17yrs old shes fair game.

Actually she never accepted any money from me so as far as from a legality standpoint I'm not sure how it works. When I met her in front of Classico and tried to bargain with her she said that she really did not know how much to tell me because she had not done it before. So of course I bargained for the normal 1000 but when the next morning came and I tried to give her the 1000 she would not accept it and said she was serious about never having done it before and she didn't feel comfortable accepting money from me. I would call her several trips after and she would come to Sosua to meet me. The only time she ever wanted money was when that bad storm came through the DR. She called me and said that if I could send her anything at all then she would appreciate it because all of their things were destroyed. When she got with that Canadian guy she told me that she was really serious about when she kept telling me she just wanted to start a family. She was a definite 10, however better him than me.
.....for the first time in a while. based upon the reports i've been reading lately i expected it to be a ghost town, as i've seen so often in the past. i was surprised to see so many chicas out and about. the downside was that i saw far too many **** girls walking around. did i ask for id? no. considering how young so many of them looked, i wouldn't think once about approaching them. i hope you guys, particularly newbies, are really careful when you're out there.

the politur and the policia national are trying to flex their muscles a little by pinching girls with no cedulas, girls walking by themselves and haitians with no visa.. i dont know why you would think it would be a ghost town. besides that, its hasn't changed one iota and its business as usual. the chicks and the cedula scenarios are quite easy, no cedula, no play period. these girls might even go as far as to try to set you up. i don't mind hotels logging in cedulas because i kind of consider it additional security for both trick and john. can you imagine trying to buy your way out if that nightmare all the while sitting in a dominican jail??? safe mongering people!
mhl, i have done approx. 60 trips during the past 6 years or so and, although i started out in sosua, i spend most of my time in pp. i stop in sosua every 3-4 months just to see what's happening. there are times i've stopped through and, yes, there were very few chicas (and mongers) out and about at times. considering the recent reports about the crackdown i assumed things would be slow, but found it busier than i anticipated it would be.
one thing that bothered me was the number of evident **** girls. far more than i have ever noticed in the past years. imo, anyone who gets caught out with them are probably looking for them to begin with. for those who aren't, be extremely careful. i wonder if they're out there on their own or as part of a setup.
i can just hear the forks drop and *clink*clink*clink*as they hit the plates while the needle scratches across the top of the record and the music comes to a crashing halt. LOL
This right here is too funny! Hope she wasn't a dime!
This is equally hilarious.
LOL
Many thanks, Kyle, for taking the trouble to write such a detailed and literate report.
You have been unusually honest about everything. I must say you don't seem a good fit for Sosúa. You come across as very precise, rational, hygienic and fair-minded. Sosúa is sloppy, irrational, squalid and opportunistic (or worse).
I had to laugh about your reporting the waiter who offered you drinks in the pool. Had that annoyed me it would have lasted about two seconds and I would have forgotten about it two minutes later. You are kind of finely tuned, aren't you? You won't live to my age if you sweat the small stuff.
I am amazed at your story of the Passions chica returning all your money, having already gone that far. I have never heard of such a thing and I think any other guys expecting the same customer service will be in for a disappointment.
By the way, the chicas there are often very reluctant to kiss. Many would accept your dick up their ass but not kiss you on the lips. Partly it is just a hygiene thing but it is also a superstition that they reserve kissing for their "real" boyfriend or partner. Those that will kiss are maybe not in a steady relationship at that time.
Like you I prefer chicas of 22 and under but I wouldn't rely on them having low mileage. Most of them will have been fucking guys in the barrios for a few pesos since they were 14 or earlier. And usually without condoms.
Dominicans and even gringos running businesses in the DR don't do refunds. My landlord, who has lived here for 17 years, bought a brand new grill. First time he used it all the enamel crazed and came loose. When he took it back for a refund they said they couldn't give a refund "because it had been used".
Of course you are right to "punish" Terra Linda by withdrawing your custom and posting a negative report. But understand this. They don't care! They don't think about the money they will lose tomorrow, let alone next year. All they want is for this annoying customer to get the hell out and leave them in peace for the rest of the day.
Accountability (as defined by Miriam-Webster online): an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one's actions.
I live in the DR and love my life here, but if there is one thing which is diametrically opposed to the Dominican mentality it is "accountability" and that applies from the President down to the lowest street-rat. It is not necessarily that they are craftily evading responsibility. They simply do not understand the connection between cause and effect.
A chica I spent a few days with was cooking with her one-year old playing round her feet. The child was splashed with hot oil and suffered (and continues to suffer) great pain. When the police arrested the mother she was baffled as "obviously I didn't mean to do it". It was just bad luck (or God's will for the religious ones).
It was obviously God's will that your internet did not work.
I just read an email that had a link to pictures of the new and improved Passions. I usually don't spend too much time in Passions because I enjoy the hunt, but I always have to make at least one trip there.
Anyway the question is did the renovations drive the price? Anybody know?
Thanks fellas. I plan on being there in a couple of weeks.
I was at Passions last week.
The new Passions still had the same menu and pricing at that time.
The renovation is a great improvement, the rooms were clean and cozy.
I did like the old Passions. But the new Passions did impress me.
My only fault with the new Passions is that it may be a little too big city like for
This little town. A fair deal if the price does not change.
Lots of cuties working.
I just got a reply from Terra Linda to an e-mail request by me checking availability of a room with double occupancy and was quoted a price of $99. a night. Are they on crack or something??? I can rent a three bedroom villa and have my own pool and jacuzzi for $20. a night more for chrissakes.
Just returned from two weeks in Sosua. Some general observations.
Oppresive heat with high humidity, Occasional rain shower, mostly during the night.
Stayed at Casa Marina which is undergoing major renovation. No air conditioning during the day. In the parking lot the locals are trucking out the old t.vs and mattresses as fast as they can load them. My regular left me at the bar for a few minutes. She came back smiling and told me I'd just bought her a decent flat t.v. for 2,000 pesos. I asked how the hell she'd get it home to the other end of the D.R.(10 hours and two buses and a taxi away).
No problem, she had called our regular motoconcho guy to the hotel and got him and a buddy to take it to Choramicos where she has family, and it was there already. She'll bus it home when I leave. All in 20 minutes or so. Gotta love this girl!
Never saw many cops there before, but now the're everywhere.
So, not as many chicas around, but still enough for anyone, with some real young knockouts. I saw more 10's on this trip than I've seen before down there. It was quieter than usual around N.G. and Terra Linda, quiet around town during the day, with the bars only filling up at the weekends.
First night at the bar a newbie got cornered by the resident/leech/stalker/drama queen and seemed to be enjoying the attention. When they passed our table, she stopped to say hello, because we know most of the locals and it doesn't hurt to say hello after you've seen tham a hundered times. He asked if they could join us, and we said sure. He told me he'd just arrived and was enjoying the scene. Said he'd travelled extensively and done a lot of research before choosing Sosua. I wasn't sure, judging by the hand holding already, but what the hey! I wasn't abouit to tell this particular guy how to spend his time and his money.
Eventually, we moved on to the next bar (with them in tow) and after a while they got into a big argument. She made the cutthroat sign and stormed off. I asked what's wrong. He was really pissed. Turns out he got insulted because she asked him for money for milk for bambina. Really! He'd picked the ***** of *****s (or she picked him) and he was surprised she asked him for money? What the hell did he think all this hand holding and kissing shit an hour off the plane was all about?
He said that was enough for him that night and went back to the hotel (Casa Marina). Tried to give him a pep talk but he said he thought the chica was our friend so she'd be OK. Damn! it was almost like he was accusing us of setting him up.
Next morning at breakfast he had another tale of woe, seems he went out for coffee early and got into a tugging match with chica who tried to lift his wallet, coffee thrown, pants pocket torn. He said he had had enough of Sosua and wasn't leaving the hotel.
Optimistic me says, look at all the beautiful chicas they're all out there for you and they aren't all bad. He did go out once more and got ripped off for forty dollars, Didn't ask him how, because it was becoming obvious.
His problem was that he acted like he knew it all and wasn't about to take advice from anybody. Never before have I ever seen that combination of cockiness on the one hand and on the other not having a clue as to what is really going on around him. Naive is hardly the word, but the guy was clearly out of his depth, and I did feel a little sorry for him.
He stuck around the hotel for the rest of the week waiting to home.
Wonder where he's "reearching" now?
He obviously missed this board, but if he finds it and reads this, Hi Jerry!

I guess he eventually found that out the hard way though huh.
