I'm probably just feeling horny in Europe seeing the videos of Lleras etc, once I get there I'll be sensible. Never done anything dumb before there, not about to start now. They are wrong to blame other men, but people always want to point fingers. Ironically, what caused hooker prices in part to soar in the USA, a legal crack down, is happening in Colombia.

And there is the other thing: what the guys do not get is the cure for high prices is high prices. There are better values to be had in the world now than in Colombia on the high end. If you want value, you have to plant roots, go to places other tourists do not go, or settle for the low end. I think the guys here want you to know that there is still value in the low end, but I get that might not be your cup of tea, and I suspect you may not have the time to set down roots.

For a last minute pickup in Lleras, most have quoted 600-800 k (about 150-200 USD) por la noche (multi-hour / shot night). Even Gustos girls seem to push around 1-1. 2 million (about 250-300 USD) for the night if you don't negotiate. I do speak Spanish as well so that may help but no girl in Lleras has ever quoted me more than 400 k per hour and they all quickly go down to 300 k if you push them and give off a good vibe from my discussions with them. I'm actually really surprised to see you make this assertion because I don't think anybody has advocated paying "hundreds of USD" for an hour of time. Most just don't get bent out of shape about paying and extra 50 k-100 k (20 USD) for a session if its a girl they really like and if it's in a general expected range.

[/QUOTE]I am American so I only know the places that are posted in these forums. As most here are tourists, we tend to focus on major areas that cater to tourists for a variety of reasons. So we would focus on the going rate in Brussels, not La Hulpe (even though it is a beautiful location to visit in a short burst). It's kinda like the situation with Thailand; Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket prices are more relevant to mongers than the prices in Chiang Mai even if there are deals to be had. For European prices, in any major region, most of those all seem to charge the higher rates that you claim are "wrong. " I found that the looks of the girls and the service level I expected matched the general expectation I've grown accustomed to with the price points in the US / Canada. If you have specific insights to these supposed deals, please post them or private message me because I'm definitely interested. Always happy to learn of new places.

Eastern Europe is on my list to try, though.

If you're paying $500 to eat at a restaurant with Joel Robuchon's name on it, you're paying a high price for essentially nothing. Robuchon likely has never even set foot in the place, and if he did, it was once or twice, long ago. He probably didn't even consult on the menu.

I am firm believer that most tourist places provide a general quality floor in experience due to the fact that those areas tend to represent the "upper crust" within a local prostitution market (the local modeling trade being the most prestigious but that is normally not a circle any foreigner, even of a long-term expat, is usually involved in) which leads to more competition within both sides of the market. This is standard supply-demand economics within unregulated markets and should lead better quality service for appropriately upcharged prices. " A bro should be a term for a certain type of personality, but it is usually incorrectly associated with income classes. You are mistaken. Neither Loutron nor La Isla has "reduced services" to other places, it is more equitable to say they are overcharging for equivalent services. Most of the bang and dash providers in Centro provide sub-standard services that "could" be compared to the higher end joints. These higher end places claim that the hotness of the women makes up for it but that is the great debate, of course.
