I'm a little late to this party, but I wanted to chime in a bit.
I asked him about gaijin and he said there are a number of considerations. First, he said many of the ladies don't like us because we take too long, whereas most Japanese men finish their business quickly and move one....
I have chatted up numerous tencho/mamasan, and triple that amount of girls over the years. Of course, the information tends to vary across the board depending on who I talk to, but compiling everything together this is what I've found. The main reason why we foreigners get turned away is because we attract too much attention. The sex industry operates under a very precarious balance with law enforcement - don't make waves, and we'll look the other way. We foreigners attract attention simply because we are foreign. And while shops don't know about the ISG specifically, they have a general idea that if they begin regularly accepting foreigners that quite a few will turn up.So if foreigners start frequenting a shop in decent number, that brings attention to the shop, and the police would have to step in. Your occasional 10,000 yen isn't worth the risk of getting closed down. Then after that, its the communication problem, and fear that you don't know the system. If you cause problems, there's no way to settle it, and it again risks bringing attention to the shop. The girls do put themselves in a vulnerable position every time they are with a customer, and you not being able to communicate with them just makes them extra nervous. The risks outweigh the potential benefits. Then there is the stamina issue. But this is really mostly for the girls, the tencho don't really care as long as the girl can continue to work. They are a lot stronger than most people give them credit for (after all, this is their profession) but if you are a big guy and have lots of stamina then that can cause problems. And then after that there's the stuff like racism, STD fear, et al.The key is to show them that you are very low risk. They're not above taking your money if they feel safe about it. Japanese language ability helps a lot of course, but I have seen a guy navigate an area where I only have about 10% success ratio, with about 60% success or better. He didn't say a word, he just let everyone there know that he knew what was up - no need to worry about him, just take his money.I've been thinking about writing up a small p4p guide for a few months, maybe I should?

That or I've been reading that wrong the whole time, but the former seems more likely as a few others on this forum have also been there.

Question?
http://www.y-playgirl.nethttp://www.y-tokubetu.netThese are two soaps that will take in foreigners (it says so in their FAQ). Their prices say 20,000 each, but you multiply that by 3 to get the the real price and then you add another 10,000 for the Gaijin service fee. The total comes out to 70,000 yen for 100 minutes, you might get them to toss the Gaijin fee though, but that's up to you. Not cheap by any means, but these girls are probably the girls you're looking for. I'd recommend tokubetsu over playgirl though, but only because I haven't been to playgirl, but I've been to tokubetsu many times and the girls always looked stunning. Now, a quick note, I'm sure there are cheaper soaps that will take non-Japanese speaking foreigners that ALSO have the girls you want. It's just a matter of footwork.
Zcorps,Thanks for the recommendations. I noted the following English comment on Playgirl's website:*The visitor of the foreigner comes back to the index page, and please watch deficit guidance.Do you know what it means? I could not find any index page. Also, what do you get for the 20k basic charge for 110 minutes?"OAH

Makes sense

They could care less if you can communicate. If there were any trouble, a couple of thugs would show up fast to show you the way out. That said, racism also plays a big part. Many local Chinese punters don't like to do girls that do foreigners so it can affect their business if it gets out of hand.Just my POV.OAH

The basic fee is the room rental or something, another 20k for the girl directly, another 20k for something else, and 10k for the Gaijin fee. Japanese people pay 60k for this service fyi. You get FS for this price. First it starts out with a mandatory bath, then they'll probably give you a smokejob. Then some mat play, the girls covers you and her in a thick lube, and she starts massaging you with her body and than transitions into another bj followed by some covered FS. After that you'll probably get more FS if you can manage it. If you search red tube for japanese massage, you're basically getting that. It's a unique experience for sure.I just noticed, playgirl has an "English" site. http://www.y-playgirl.net/e/ It's really a crappy English site, but there it is. Lists some basic information you need. Considering that crappy English page, you should be able to get in no problem.
Homer69,Where did you guys get the idea that I wanted cheap FS? I am willing to pay the going price if it is available.OAH
I got it from the quote that follows. It sounded like you were looking for something cheap. If the most expensive you've found is 35K then that sounds cheap. To get a top flight young cute Japanese lady you're probably going to have to go to a soap and pay double that.
Gentlemen,Prices for J-girls: The cheapest FS I've had is 11k for 15 minutes in Tobita. The most expensive is AM at 35k for 2 hours. BTW, I pay 5k per hour for an interpreter. OAH

I am only interested in J-girls. I have access to others in my travels. I tried Rina today:http://www.s-grimpeur.jp/index.php?action=girlprofile&id=1112She is better looking than her pictures, and I am a picky bastard. Here are my ratings for 45 min:Looks: 9.5 (pretty face, great T&A, perfect skin - from Hokkaido)Service: 7Technique: 8English: a little bitTotal: 14.5k (13k - 1k discount + 2.5k hotel)Repeat? ProbablyShe would not do FS - I tried nicely twice, but her BBBJ was pretty good. A nice, typical Shibuya-type girl who is into fashion and music. Like posted many times before, Grimpeur is a crap shoot - sometimes, you get FS, sometimes you don't. But if you want a real Japanese girl with almost no chance of rejection as a foreigner, this is a good bet. She will finish with sumata or if you prefer, have your way with her (almost anything but FS or DFK) depending on the girl. When talking to the guy at the counter, you will usually need to know some very basic Japanese, at least enough to convince him that you understand the basic rules. I think they get a lot of business from foreigners. After the first time, you will get a member's card, which will make subsequent times easier. GL.BTW, Tobita is GREAT - I wish they had something like that here in Tokyo.
Small point: FS for pay is illegal everywhere in Japan, including in soaps. The difference with soaps is that the girls who work there are technically independent contractors who are just contracting the space and purchasing supplies from the soapland. Therefore if the cops come in and bust the joint, the owners have a legal argument to hide behind. Of course the reality, which is a larger issue, is that the legal code really doesn't mean anything in Japan, because it is interpreted and applied based on the actors involved. As someone smarter than me once said, "Japan is a country of customs, not laws." So FS has been illegal since April 1, 1958, but the reality is that soaplands are allowed to offer FS, and others aren't for complex and convoluted reasons that have no bearing on the law.
In a follow up to this point. In the RLDs of Osaka all of the shops are technically licensed as 'restaurants' where you have to pay a base fee of 11,000 for 15min, which is posted on the walls near the genkan and in the rooms. Inside the rooms, they have a little hand-written list of prices that give the rates for 20min, 30min and so on. The girls bring you a little tray of snacks, tea and an o-shibori. I don't think there is any pretext of the girls renting out the rooms. Everybody knows what's going on, and the cops in the nearby kobans just make sure that everyone is behaving themselves. After all, those areas have been brothel districts since before there was an anti-prostitution law and nobody in south Osaka gives a shit about what the laws in Tokyo say about how they ought to be conducting themselves.

Trinity Closed?
I was thinking of going to Trinity today. The website is 403 and it appears as though they have closed. Too bad.

Getting clearer
Gentlemen,I appreciate all your feedbacks, suggestions and recommedations. I am starting to get the picture. I apologize if I am asking too many ignorant questions. Unfortunately, I have not had the luxury of spending as much time on the ground as many of you that live in Japan and speak the language have. Time contraints usually force me to seek out the "sure things" such as AM, Jan Jan, New York, New York and the like.As I see it, the system is very complicated. Correct me if I am wrong, but to an outsider, it looks like this is intentional either to get around the law and/or to scam the patrons. Most Japanese are non-confrontational thus the operators can probably get away with it. This is usually not the case with gaijin so the operators want to avoid any hassles or misunderstandings. It is too difficut to explain 20k for this, 20k for that, 3k for BBBJ, 2k to pick the girl, 10k because you are gaijin, etc. Most gaijin resent being charged more just because they are a gaijin. This applies to everything wherever they travel. Some gaijin get pissed off and create a scene, I have learned to just walk away and look elsewhere. The websites are confusing even when I use a translation site since a lot of it is slang and does not translate literally. Some seem to quote for a FS package while others have all the add ons. This is probably why the Playgirls's English site just says 70k for everything. It is much simpler and more palatable for gaijin to deal with.As Azure Knight suggested, if somebody could post a "Gaijin's Guide to Mongering in Japan", that would be fantastic. SammyT's comprehensive guide for Beijing on the China board is a very good example. Also, if somebody could supply Jackson with definitions of local acronyms and abbreviations, he could add them to the Abbreviations link.Just my POV.OAH
