It's a total rip off place, run by the Thai-Chinese mofia, over-priced, and with low quality. You can find girls everywhere that will ST with you for $500-$800 for 1-3 pops.

I only been there 3 times. The girl quality is only 6-7 at best. The cost is more than
Pattaya, 2000 baht I think. It's better to get girl from bar 1500 - 2000 all nite.

In town there are 2 massages. One is by Ocean Mall. 1800 baht. Girl is better
than Christine not as good as Bangkok.

Everything cost high in Phuket, twice the cost than Pattaya, but beach is
beautiful, so is the scuba diving. Car renting is 20 USd a day and 30 for a jeep a day Not cheap.

Day 1: After having unpacked my luggage, I rush to the beach in the late afternoon. While I’m swimming, I spot a girl picking up some small kind of seafood in the wet sand. She has the kind of slim body I like and a nice face. I approach her and she tells me she works in a Bar in Bangla road. Ok, I tell her I will see her tonight. At night I go to Bangla road and it seems the girls are starving for customers at this time of the year. Very few beautiful girls around though. The overall quality is rather low. After some exploration, I find the Bar and the girl I saw on the beach. The girls all rush to me to get lady drinks and I offer them a few drinks. Gosh! It’s so expensive in Phuket, 120 THB per drink! That’s a mistake I will not make again! The girl who looked quite normal on the beach, looks now like a ***** with her make-up and sexy clothes! She’s kind but a little rough: typical unsophisticated country girl. I think OK, some animal charm can also be welcomed sometimes. I pay her barfine and we go dancing in Tiger disco. It’s a big disco but really only get crowded from 12 pm. Entrance is 100 THB and you get a drink ticket. Wow! This girl has a way of dancing that is quite arousing and we had a lot of fun. We spend the rest of the night in my room. Good sessions with BJ. The girl is supposed to be wet but I suspect she puts some saliva up it to make believe she’s wet!

Day 2: I want to try other girls and I’m fed up with paying lady drinks, so I go to Banana disco. It also only gets crowded from 12 pm, but closes at 2 am. Entrance is 300 THB with 2 drink tickets. Lots of P4P girls, but also many young tourist who go there only for fun. I end up picking up a nice girl with a “Brigitte Bardo” style of mouth. Back to my room, I find out she’s no so young, but still has a nice body. It’s incredible how fresh she is for 29 y.o. She’s really eager to do a good job and provides a good and exciting service.

Day 3: I go to Banana and spot a girl I like. Unfortunately, she is with her sister and I understand they only go with men if they find 2 men who are together. Which they did shortly after I approached her. So around 1 am I go to Tiger disco. There I spot two sisters and I like the younger one, who is 19. I talk with her sister because the young one does not speak English. She explains to me her sister wants money (how surprising!), and she wants 500 for short time! She does only short time because she does not speak English. I succeed in convincing her to spend the whole night with me. Wow! She has such a nice young body with firm tits and sweet skin. Totally GFE, wet pussy, and enjoying it so much. My best experience in Phuket. For some unknown reason I never saw her again.

Day 4: I go to Tiger disco to see her again. After some time, I get approached by a girl who seemed pretty and not stupid. As it is now evident that I will not find the girl from yesterday, we have a drink together and she takes me to a near Bar called Bahia Beach. It’s supposed to be a French place and it’s packed with people after 12 pm. The advantage of this place is that it’s not too dark, so you can better see the girls and avoid the disappointment you sometime have when you see the girl you picked up in full light. In fact, I find out the girl is maybe not so pretty, and moreover I don’t have a good feeling. She’s either very tired or more likely on drug, so I leave her. I rush toward a beautiful girl I spotted, but strangely, it seems she’s not here to find a customer. Too late, the other beautiful girls are already picked up. Anyway, it’s closing time and I go out, wondering if I would go to another place called Safari or go to sleep. Walking outside, I come across the girl I met the first day. Wow! She’s really sexy. Of course, she’s very happy to see me again and we go together. She gave me a super sex experience and it seems she enjoyed it.

Day 5: I go again to Banana, as this place gets crowded a little earlier than the others. I talk again with the girl I saw there on Day 3. I just came back from Patong!

Its horrible rip off place. Everything is over charged, overrun with Indians since the Tsunami, who constantly bait you to buy over-charged copy goods. Very few girl-friendly hotels from what I heard speaking to other guys out there. My hotel was 700 baht to take a girl back!

I would recomend to anybody use Pattaya, BKK or Issan and save vast amounts of money & get far better looking girls @ half the price!

Hi all. Been reading the forum for a long time now and it's provided a lot of useful info. Just wondering what your opinion is. Is it best to head to Phuket or Pattaya at this time (next week)? I've been to Phuket in the past but that was before the events of last December. It was great then but now I'm reading mixed reports. Never been to Pattaya. Either way I'd like to avoid an area if the military's in town.

I guess the receding waves of the Tsunami brought the Indians in Madras to Patong.

Get a life Patterson. When you go to any tourist place it is always a ripoff. Learn to live the life of a tourist, otherwise you aren't getting the joys of travel. You only get ripped off if you allow yourself to be.

Having been to Thailand several times this was by far my worst experience!

It was a horrible time all hotels were NOT GF & would never go again Pattaya, BKK, Samui, Chiang Mai all 1000x better!

The beer was over priced the girls were over priced not a nice place at all!

If I wanted to be hounded by Indians i would have gone to New Delhi again?

Yes you only get ripped off if you let it happen but to be badgered everyday & night was NOT fun for me & I would say Pattaya possible 35 girls to everyone in Patong & a third off the price so not to be ripped off again I will not be going ;)

Once I had planned to go Pattaya for 5 days. After 3 days I stopped it and rushed back to BKK. Sorry, never again Pattaya.

Sometimes Phuket, yes, since I have a direct flight into the island. Just 2 weeks back I've been there for a weekend and had a very good time. Of course I pay more than the locals, so what? Thats all over Asia the case and a pure tourist area is always relatively overpriced, but it seems (and is) still dirtcheap in the eyes of the tourists from Europe or US.

Anyway, I travel to Thailand only if I can't get a flight elsewhere. It isn't my preferred country. But all a matter of taste and preferences. Some love Phuket, some Pattaya, some Bali, some Greenland.

Yeh i agree one mans food etc !!! I have had bad times all over the world anybody who travels regular knows it aint always sunshine & lollypops ;)

But I felt the last trip to Patong was one off if not the worse time anywhere along with the group i travelled with could not wait to get back to BKK! Also everybody we spoke to in bars etc also were giving it the thumbs down.

I first went to Patong in 1990 & first travelled to Thailand in 1987 & can say without a shadow of a doubt worst time ever in the land of smiles & would not travel to Phuket free :P The hassle from the Indians touting there goods was a constant pain in the arse along with watching them spitting everywhere & scurrying about like rats morning noon & night narrrrrrrrrr mate give me Pattaya or bkk everyday!

I'm surprised by recent postings complaining about Phuket- it beats Pattaya for me everytime. I'm surprised to hear that hotels there are charging for girls to stay. I make sure with EVERY hotel i stay in Thailand by emailing or faxing them before I arrive and stating that I have a guest visiting me during my stay and making sure there is no surcharge- i then keep their reply saying there is no charge with me- that way when a late night security guard or receptionist is on the make I show them the written confirmation when they demand money. I know this procedure might sound time consuming but it works every time.

In my humble opinion:

Pattaya is great for a weekend to get you out of the city, but for more than a few days it can drive you mad. Its a pretty ugly place and can attract a lot of very low-end package holiday tourists.

Phuket by comparison is absolutely beautiful, the pace is a lot more mellow and the overall level is visitor is higher.

Yes, you will pay more in Phuket, but you get what you pay for.

And as for GF friendly hotels, there are plenty. I stay in a great little place up on the hill for 800 Baht a night and the people there are as cool as you like.

In summary: Pattaya for a mad weekend of serious bad behaviour. Phuket for a mellow week or so and a few cheeky babes.

That's it![/QUOTE]Was in Phuket August/05 and agree totally with your post. Special if you ring the bell at the beer-bars, wich means one drink for every one, it is expensive. Usually i have paid between 1500-4000 Baht / per night bill at beer-bars (but I usually have not to pay barfine with that bill).

When I changed girl it happens that i get a phone call in the hotel, girls from night before asking me to come back to their bar.

I found out that most girls from beer-bar go at 2 a.m. closing hour, to tai-pan disco, where you can pick them up without the hassle at beer-bar.

Tiger a gogo was very nice, the girls are not so pushing for drinks.

Pattaya is alright for mongers and has some nice hotels. The majority of males people going to this city want an economical monger holiday by the beach with a large quanity of girls. I never used the beach area for good reason, but that was not my primary purpose for going to this destination.

Anyone whose goals are different than above should go to Phuket for the holiday. IMHO
