My questions are: are there hotels with ground level rooms available in many of the hotels near the action? Are there hotels near the action that have elevators? I can only think that hotels that are 7 stories or higher would have an elevator and that seems rare in the neck of the woods I'm looking to hunt in. Are there handi-accesable rooms available in Pattaya?

Sadly in most 3rd world countries the handicap friendly environment is very rare. If I am not mistaken, Sunshine Hotel & Residences, on Soi 8, (the Soi is filled with bars) has a ramp up from the street level to the reception. They have a accessible elevator in the new wing. However, you can check it out through Asia Travel.
The hotel info is on http://asiatravel.com/thailand/sunshine/index.html but does not mention handicap access. I would e-mail the contact us form (which goes to Asia Travel) with the inquiry and also ask them if they recommend any other hotel.
Good luck and happy endings.

Sawasdee on Soi Buakhao and Honey Inn has a lift. So does Sawasdee Pattaya on Doi Diana near Buakhao. There might be a bit of access problem form the road to the lift, though. One of the Diana properties out by Pattaya North road has handicap facilities (that's what they advertised anyway) but it's not that close to the action at all. The more farang oriented hi-rises have lifts (and prices to match)
Almost NOTHING on ground floor level unless you want to go to the "cheap sleeps" - I know of a ground floor place (2 floors total) on Soi 10 off 2nd road (they are to the right, off 2nd 100m or so) named "House Breeze" - a minor kerb to pass but otherwise (assuming you are on the 1st floor) nothing else. Spartan, though - no TV, community refrig in lobby, clean towels, essentially no security except for the manager sleeping in the lobby - 350B/night (beer bar complex on 2nd road right across end of Soi 10 ) Lock box (literally) in lobby behind the counter - bring your own lock if you want (small sports locker)

LK Mansion
Well, Mr. Hoe Hunter
the rooms you see on the website of LK Mansion are not the rooms you can rent for 600 - 800 Baht per day. The photos show the Grand Deluxe and One Bedroom rooms. The rooms for 600-800 Baht are much more simple styled.
If you go to Pattaya in month March, you should try a hotel that is named " The Cottage" . It is on Soi 2 directly opposite BIG C. For those, who don't know, I will explain, that the Soi 2 does not end at Second Road. The Soi parallel to BIG C is also the Soi 2.
The Cottage is a Hotel with bungalows in a very nice surrounding. They have 2 pools. The prize per night is 900 Baht. Breakfast costs 100 Baht seperate.
The negative side is: The standart of the rooms is low. Seems, they didn't renovate the last 10 years.
The positive side is:
They have of course aircon and shower and hot water :--))). And the room mates come every day and change the towels and the bed-linen. And the staff is very friendly. And they have safe boxes at the reception for free. And the most important thing: You have only 2 minutes to go to BIG C, and the foot march to the scene in Soi 2 is maximum 5 minutes.
But I for myself decided after a visit, that a little bit more comfort could be good for for a grey wolf. But for young mongers with a small budget that hotel should be great.
By the way: This hotel has no website. You can book it only in Pattaya - or - if you find out - via fax. But I suppose, in Month March that should be no problem and worth a try.
Sincerely yours
Lemon Tree

I have narrowed down my choices to Acrea Lodge & LK Mansion.
Acrea Lodge has rooms for BHT 1000, where as LK Mansion has rooms for BHT 600-800.
From what I have read here, Acrea Lodge seems impressive.
Could anyone enlighten my on LK Mansion? http://www.lkpattayahotel.com/mansion/index.html
From their website, the rooms look very promising, but some personal opinions from the members here would help me make a decision.
I could care less about the swimming pool the hotel offers or the breakfast offered. All I care about is the room where all the action actually happens.
I would really appreciate it if some members could enlighten me on the LK Mansion.
Any help is much appreciated.
Cheers!

Hoe Hunter,
LK Mansion is a dump and Areca Lodge is far better.
The rooms at LK Mansion are quite basic - small TV, big fridge, standard furniture, very simple bathrooms. They have a pool on the roof but the whole place looks worn down. It's also quite loud as the LK Mansion is located directly behind Lenkee's and is facing two streets - Pataya Central Road and Soi Buakhao. The rooms look no way like the pics on their website. Forget about it.
The Areca on the other side is quite OK, nice rooms with in-room safe. It's far better than the LK Mansion.

Areca Lodge has full occupancy on the dates I requested, so I'd have to look into some other hotels now.
After doing some research, came across Secrets Hotel http://www.secretspattaya.com/hotel/
Looks promising from the pictures. I could care less about a swimming pool, as I'd hardly ever use it. I usually wake up after 11:00 AM, so having hotel breakfast is out of the question.
Since Iam travelling for around 3 weeks, I'am looking for a more economical accomodation.
I am addicted to Pattaya (I was there for 2 weeks at the begining of this month, and I booked my tickets for March 27)
Sunshine Hotel & Residence on Beach Road is another option that I have kept open.
I will contact Sunshine Hotel & Secrets Hotel to check availability today.
Any hotels BHT 1000 and below should do for me. If you guys know of any, please let me/others know.
Once again, any info. is appreciated!
Thanks folks!

Hoe Hunter;
Most of the hotels on Soi 7+8 should be just fine. You can find a room there for less than 1000 baht. I like the Flipper hotels (flippergroup.com), there is one on soi 7+8. I prefer the one on soi 7. If you want something a little less expensive try Bella Vista hotel part of the eastiny hotels, eastinypattaya.com. It is on a street between soi 7+8, no pool but clean rooms and in the heart of the action. I have been to Pattaya 10+ times ( I can't get enough of that place). March is the start of slow season so the rates drop and with less guys than high season the girls are plentiful and cheap. I will be there in March as well. Happy hunting.

Hoe Hunter,
the Sunshine Garden close to the Dusit was recommended to me. I have been told that rooms were recently renovated and are quite nice, nothing special but clean. Good breakfast buffet as well. It was offered for around 1000 baht (travel agent) even though their displayed internet rates are a bit higher. Starting April 16th you can stay 7 nights but only pay for 6.

http://www.sunshinegardenhotel.com/
I ended up booking a room @ the Secrets Hotel by Walking Street.
Got rates for 750 BHT/night.
Rooms seem pretty good from their website. http://www.secretspattaya.com/
Also booked rooms @ LK Metro hotel for the second part of my stay. http://www.metro-apartments-pattaya.com/
Thanks for the info folks.
Much Appreciated.
I shall post reviews of the hotels/trip once I get back on April 17.
Should be arriving in LOS on 28th March.
If anyone is going to be in Pattaya over those days, I could sure buy you some cold beer.
Have fun folks!

Looking for wireless
Does anyone have suggestions for Pattaya hotel with free or reasonably priced wireless internet access?
Not in center of things, but not too far off.
In the past, I've stayed at Areca Lodge and been quite satisfied. But at least last time I was there, the only internet access was through their own overpriced little internet cafe or around the corner at any number of places.
What I am looking for is in-room access.
Thanks bros!

Big Kev,
the All Seasons has in-room WiFi and is centrally located.
Rooms are quite decent and relatively new.

Kurtweiler,
all hotels will let you bring girls to your room, but some will charge you a joiner fee.

Need a rompus room
Hi guys,
My buddies and I are looking for a hotel that has a nice suite with a seperate rompus room for us to party in. We've rented out the Eastiny Inn's executive suite a couple of times and that worked well, but we'd enjoy a change of venue this time around. Anybody have a suggestion?
-
Here's what I've found
From reading through,
It seems like the top choices (within our budget) for a suite and with adjoining rompus rooms would be the Golden Crab Inn and Whitehouse Condotel. There are several references to these locations in this thread. Anyone care to add anything?

The Siam Bayview is not GF, you have to pay 600 B for each girl you take to your room.
