I had a room on the other side of the hotel, not too bad. Its economy, like a Motel 6. Location and Breakfast was one of the highlights.

I will likely try it next time, if there is a next time (I was in Brazil last month and the standards for my hobby were raised somewhat). Otherwise, I might suggest staying up in Chapinero in a neighborhood you'd actually want to stay in, and just take a cab to Santa Fe since they are so cheap.[/QUOTE]To each his own, I stayed in hotel SF twice in the past year on my visits to SF pussy paradise and was relatively please both times as, like you say, a few minutes walking distance to SF.

We all have annoyances with our tolerance of street and hotel noise and quality of black out curtain and such, frankly I might be immune to these annoyances. The price is right as 2 weeks ago I paid $28.00 USD a night which included a good breakfast and secure parking for my car at no cost. Good deal.

Breakfast was pretty bland and the coffee disappointing for a country known for good coffee. But, as you say to each his own. You might be immune to bland food. Colombian food is almost a deterrent to entering the country for me. But, I don't consider Santa Fe to be "pussy paradise" compared to places I've visited in Thailand or Brazil (though the girls are certainly attractive and quickies are cheap). So, staying near Santa Fe is not a priority for me, if I visit Bogota again. I've attached a photo of the view of Santa Fe from my room for purposes of veracity.

USD I paid was because it was a weekend rate (Friday) a few weeks back closer to a busier time.

Yes the coffee in Colombia sucks, why? Because the good stuff is exported out to Europe and USA. Yes the Colombian cuisine is bland but at least they don't serve the dead cats and dogs like they do in Thailand, tasty huh, hehehehe.

I mention tongue in cheek that SF is pussy paradise and wow you been other places, urrrrrrrrr.

What I found tho, is it's easier if you have your hotel address written down for them.

I was hammered every night leaving Santa Fe and it saves times to just jump in the cab and give them the paper with the address on and away you go.

Sure, you can explain to them or tell them where you want to go, but if you give them the piece of paper there is no confusion and no problem. Simple.

As an enthusiast of coffee, I know good coffee and Colombia is "Coffee Paradise". I can't believe anyone who ever actually visited Colombia would say something like that. So, count me as a non-believer.

I'll be in Bogota at the Hotel Tequendama in June for a week. I can't wait to get there and try out the Santa Fe scene. But I also like bringing lightly used escorts back to my own room where I can negotiate for what I want. In doing my research for the trip (my first trip to Colombia), I came up with some questions that I hope the community can help with:

1. "Prepagos" - WTF? I don't want to prepay for an escort. Is this just how things work in Bogota? Or can I bring a prepago chica over and pay her afterwards?

2. Colombian Cupid. How do I know which girls are down for p4 p? Since I only have a week in Bogota, I don't plan on any courtships. Is SA the better source for independents?

3. For those who have been to Tijuana, how does the Santa Fe scene compare to the street girls in Tijuana's Zona Norte in terms of quantity, quality, and looks?

It doesn't matter if you speak Spanish as long as you have the correct address in. If you have an emergency and have to take a taxi take a pic of his info and let him see you doing it so he knows not to pull anything.

Google "Leandro coffee Bogota" Divino Cafe.

The guy gives an awesome 2 hour coffee course. His own brand rates 86 internationally, which is right up there.

Great coffee, great course, great experience, about $20.

Or just go there and drink the coffee. Some of the best.

Some other good cafes around if you know what you want and where to look.

And plenty of rubbish coffee around mostly everywhere.
