Centro
Great report! Seems you have good experience in Medellin. Is it relative safe walking around in El Centro / Plaza Botero? Are the chicas cool, they won't try to scam you or drug you? What time of day is best time to visit El Centro / Plaza Botero?
Yes it is relatively safe, in the daytime. Chicas are cool, they need to make some $ so they will generally give you what you want for the agreed on price. Best time of day is later in the afternoon, starting at 2-3 pm until dark, the bars are hopping & plenty of chicas around. Once the sun goes down, get out. There are a few strip clubs you might want to check out late in the afternoon but as with most strip clubs, they are best latw at night & for these you arrive in an uber or taxi.
You spent $700 on that? Sad.
That was my total damage Friday thru Sunday. Much of the money was buying her clothes, lingerie, etc. Which she wore proudly the next day. And she drove me around in her car all weekend. Those were US prices, a fair value. She was slightly belly fat, but huge natural boobs, so it a trade-off. Tinny titties have slim waste. Big titties come with some belly fat.
How will they get to MDE? It 's very long bus ride and do you really think someone will book a flight to see you? You'll be fine if you meet one woman at time in place that has security. Also, don't involve alcohol of any kind. You'll be fine.
Haha, I guess I was over scared by some Reddit posts. But I think my logic holds.
I don't mind booking the flight for her. The risk is low, because 1) the flight is cheap, it's like less than $100 round trip. 2) She can't make profit out of scamming, it's paid directly to airline 3) She gives the name and DoB for the flight, and the airline will verify it for me when she boards.
After all, she has no incentive to scam me in the process, and once she arrives, it basically means she is really pre-screened.
Again, I agree with you that I'm probably being over cautious.

Colombian Cupid
Anyone use Colombian Cupid? Going to Medellin in August. I hear that the dating apps (Tinder, Bumble Ect) aren't the best and more likely to get scammed. Wouldn't mind having a few girls lined up before I arrive.

They want / expect money for taxi fare, anything else they can think of. If you have sex with them, they will come up with some story that you need to give them money, blah, blah, blah.
Half the women I met on that site were OK, had sex by the second date. The other half were not looking like their photos when met in person.

An afternoon in centro
Have a friend in town visiting, so we hit centro yesterday afternoon, and we found some diamonds in the rough! Cute, college co-ed looking girls, both 19, sylvia and paola in town from Pereira. Took them back to my buddies room in the nutibara, and had a great time. Ordered rappi, they hung out with us till about midnight. Definite repeats. Most of the girls you see in centro are 5's and under, but if you speak decent spanish and have time and patience to sift through the riff raff, not always, but sometimes you get lucky and find some jewels.

Next time you go to MDE, buy panties and bras from Shin, or Temu of size you prefer. Its better to take hooker to eat so you have companionship then shopping.
Tried this approach for a woman I met on a sugar dating site, offered to buy her some VS panties. So we went to VS and got 5 pair of panties, then she wanted bras, they were buy 2 and get one free. Then she wanted another outfit for lounging around in the hotel room. Total damage was $225 at VC. Plus she wanted $400-500 more for a good fuck.
Forget the VS panties project. Women are not worth it!
3+ hour immigration line
Spent over 3 hours in the immigration line at MDE airport after landing at 1 PM. Another hour from airport to hotel because it was rush hour. I love Medellin and have been coming for years but if they can't figure out how to process tourists quickly then I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Escort Questions
Hello all,
I am planning to visit Medellin on 4th July week. I am bit apprehensive about app safety issue.
I visited Bogota last December, I found it safe. I had been with quite a few escorts. Been to many brothels never felt unsafe.
My question is Medellin, how is safety situation different than Bogota?
I am Indian American and whenever I go to this places, I identify myself as Indian to fly under the radar and brown skin helps to avoid unnecessary attention of scammer.
Milerotics and Prepagos worked well for me in Bogota, how is it in Medellin? Are brothel safer?
Any advice would help.

As far as not returning, I doubt they care. Medellin has seen exponential growth in tourism. El Poblado and Laureles are infested with gringos.

I think I agree with Playboy on this. If you are coming here for a vacation of a week or two it's monstrous to spend the first several hours waiting on line.

https://co.usembassy.gov/alert-operacion-tortuga-possible-delays-at-immigration-entry-and-exit/
It took me awhile to find a workaround and I only have a a 5 minute wait.
I tried American Airlines and they got in late which is after 1 pm and I was stuck in line. Another option is fly to Bogota and go through immigration there and then it would be a domestic flight. I only got that option with Avianca.
I only fly Jetblue now redeye from west coast and I get the first flight to MDE and it arrives at noon or so. There's no line. I always upgrade to the first 3 aisles so I can get to front of the line.
I don't know if it's still the same.
