However, its not a walk I recommend for any newb gringo at night. Its a walk many of us have made many times, but its not smart to tell newbs: No problem, I do it all the time!

the article is a bit stingy with the details, but it seems like this guy was in the lock-up for ten months based on an accusation with no witnesses. wow! and the only person in the story who doesn't have a name is the "complainant". are court records public in the philippines? i'd love to hear the whole story. hope mr. dunn shares his story.

talisay (south of cebu city) is ok and is on srp so that is better than liloan which is north and the roods to cebu are dreadful. srp is better trust me as i am thinking same. we maybe neighbors xman lol.

Not exactly correct. I have been coming to Cebu since 1984 and have been here every year since. Cebu is my favorite city in the world. Passenger only ferry departs regularly and leaves after the bus passengers are all aboard. Bus journey is four to four and a half hours. Ferry about forty minutes. It lands north of Duma several miles and both tricycles and jeepneys are on hand to take you to the city. Expect the entire trip to take about six hours.
