I had been picking on a pretty little 40 kilogram one and I told her that if she was my gf, I would buy her 30 skirts, all the same size. So she would have clothes for a long time. And if she ever outgrew them, I would dump her. No matter how much I insisted she was the perfect size, she insisted that she must get chubby and was doing everything she could to reach her goal. I've heard that repeatedly.

But to answer your question, the absolute best place is actually just a little north of beautiful downtown Davao City, it's official name is: "CIW Mindanao, Panabo, Davao". There's thousands of women there who are desperately waiting just for you!

Probably cultural. Same as most Latin American and Indian women who don't exercise either. Then again, look at North America where 40% are considered obese.

Its been with great joy that I've been reading the 'creaky state of Philippine infrastructure' reports from posters whose own personal creaky infrastructure mirrors that of the Phils. It tells me that I have many more years of happy times ahead of me in the PI.

Humor me: If the infrastructure etc was good, like Thailand, then there would be ten times as many male visitors. Gabiche? That wouldn't be good. Pink Pearl types would be everywhere. Do I have to spell out the many reasons that would not be good?

Maybe its time to state what makes the PI better than any other country for the single male visitor: the accessibility of regular English speaking girls. Not prostitutes, like everywhere else. Although you can have that too, and its a great backup in a pinch. I've also thought that the presence of hookers in the PI keeps the regular girls 'honest' ie they know they don't have a monopoly on their commodity. However, for many of us, the real draw is this accessibility to normal girls. It seems obvious to me that there is a direct correlation between this supply and the infrastructure, services etc in the PI.

So keep those stories coming about out-of-control jeepnies; decaying sidewalks; Soviet era customer service; raw sewage; inedible food; floods; corrupt public officials; ripoffs, scams and scoundrels; and my personal favorite: the sense of outrage with which these posts are delivered.

I go to the airport and charm my way saying that hotel could not print. Most of the time the staff look into my deep blue eyes an melt using words such as gwapo and handsum and do anything I want even over the counter LOL Well enough of the fantasy FR as we get lots of those here.

Seriously I say exactly what you said regarding the hotel printer failing and the counter staff are cool. Will save lots time and now I always check in online.

What's sadder is that it's hosted by a Filipino, perhaps his being raised in the US has tainted his view beyond help. Me thinks that if were hosted by a foreigner living in the PI's then it would have been take down by now or at least received a lot more criticism and scrutiny from the Dept of Tourism. In any event, I'd be careful about posting there; after all blood is thicker then water.

While all of us who live here have witnessed countless examples similar to those he describes, my reaction was simply to wonder why he chooses to remain here. As have, I imagine, most of the long-term residents here, I've met more than my share of expats who retain a permanent sense of outrage at various facets of the culture. I'm still mystified why any rational person would choose to live in a quasi-permanent state of anger that spills into self righteous moral indignation. Sure, there are things that still bother me, and there are increasingly rare times that I lose it, but most of the time I've learned just to accept that which is and cannot be changed. It's the only basis, in my opinion, on which one can enjoy his life here. I once read that hanging onto anger "is like taking poison and expecting someone else to die."

He says he rushed into migrating here without "trialling" it first, but now he is making good money from his business and he enjoys the lifestyle living on his foreign salary, and he also gets a sense of "fun" from seeing just how dysfunctional are many of the things about which he comments and, more tellingly, how they persist.

I don't detect that he is full of hate.

I think he is having fun commenting on many of the inanities of everyday life here and, like most ISG regular posters, cannot believe that not only do the inanities keep happening but they seem to become more embedded in behavior every day.

I've lived in a few countries that were far more blood-boiling maddening than the Philippines, mostly due to those locals being incompetent [b]and[/b] malicious. I know there are some like so here, it's just that I have run across them far less often than elsewhere. To me the merits greatly outweigh the demerits; paradoxically the country's malfunction works for me. I'm having a grand time here.
