Is it safe? I seem to recall a ferry accident and don't recall the exact location.

Even now the survivors are trying to get justice for a sinking many years ago. Kong King has taken a few ferries in his time and they are OK but just be careful of the weather.

Have you looked I the bus routes as Cerus has an extensive fleet and their yellow buses are seen everywhere. IMHO safer DCups but each to his own.

Just a heads up to something that happened to friend in Cebu last week. Girl comes over to his place in a taxi that he agrees to pay. She does not tell him she is coming with a friend / cousin etc. This friend / cousin gets out en route but not before she 'borrows' 200,300 or pesos from the taxi driver who adds it to the meter.

So girl turns up at friend's place. He expects a 100/150 (max) pesos fare and ends up seeing a meter charge of 400/500+ pesos. If he does not pay the driver calls the police so he pays.

So maybe ask a question or two before you agree to pay a taxi?

Yes, am taking bus to the port and then brief ferry to Duma. I went on the one from Duma to Siqujor and it was ok. See you in Cebu City 8 - 10 Nov. I'm an expat here in Cebu City, and the wife is gone for two weeks next month. I have this sweet 19 yo hottie on the side that I want to get away with for a few days.

But I know a lot of people. Expats and middle & upper-class Cebuanos. In this town. Cannot get busted.

I'd like to get away to a decent, low-key resort with at least a pool and swim-able ocean front, where I won't run into anyone I know OR get the stink eye because I'm forty years older than this petite sex fiend.

Mactan would be cool, Bohol would be ok (but not Alona beach).

Any suggestions?

I know an guy in the same situation went to the El Salvador resort in Danao some time back also try Coco Palms (think that is the correct name). Plenty there that are discrete and no relative would visit unless they are doing the same as you LOL.

Bohol I OK but you need to catch a ferry etc and that is where you could be more visible. Macatan I would think there is a chance relatives would / may go there as they seems to have so many! Or friends of relatives etc.

I posted stroll maps of my home city and other places, FR's from Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Cartagena as well as my extensive travels in the US. If you look at the pictures of guests, it's got a lot of old farts like me, with young nubile Pinays. It's out of the way enough, it's accessible by the Mactan-Ubay banca (where you won't run into people you know), and seems like nobody would raise an eyebrow.

But it's too far out of the way to suit my needs.

Is there any other information I can provide you with?

Forgive me guys but I have a "all of a sudden trip to Cebu". Will be my first time and going to stay till Monday.

I want to relax at a hotel that is possibly close to the water and decent, but of course want to play.

Any suggestion?? Is it stupid of me to think I can stay there and go in the water?

Sorry but hardly anytime and need to get out after meetings tomorrow. Any help would be great.

Call the police then your consulate from jail as that is where you will be IMHO all for $12+.
