Sad but DTJ / passport bros image might be making things worse.
I was there. There was a huge police presence, and they were grabbing a bunch of people. My friend was going around talking to the girls in the park, and he got stopped by a cop while he was chatting with one. They checked both their IDs and told him it's illegal to solicit prostitution. He had to either pay a fine on the spot, admitting guilt, or show up in court the next day. I also saw some other people getting thrown to the ground. I'm not sure what the current status of prostitution is in that area. Apparently, the mayor put a temporary ban on it in El Poblado and Provenza last year, so I guess they're still enforcing it.
Wow this seems like overreach. The neighborhood stopped being cool after passport bros swarmed the area with vids. Sex tourism out of control.
Prices will continue to skyrocket
In just a few years, I've seen the prices double in Medellin more than other cities around the world. People are swarming the city and men who have no serious savings, no serious investments, are spending all their money on women who sleep with several men a day. I was talking to a couple chicas about it last week and they say they have people who check websites like these to see the prices that "gringos" are willing to pay. With all the price sharing and discussing what people are paying on here they keep pushing the limit. That's why on various websites and apps all of their prices have been standardized. Prices that would've been literally unthinkable of 2 to 3 years ago are now the norm. It's amazing how many guys are going broke paying these women these ludricrous prices. Fortunately, I have my system where I still pay comfortably at 200 to 300 mil. But there's honestly nothing we can do to stop it. Simps will continue telling each other prices that they were happy with even though they were in the hundreds of dollars not knowing that they got ransacked. It is idiots who come here for the first time and say ""HEY EVERYBODY I PAID $100" then the next guys screams "HEY GUYS I PAID $200" then "HEY GUYS I ONLY PAID $400" and so on and so on. These prices are already what US women who have 5 times the cost of living are charging. At this point, it literally costs more money to travel, Airbnb and pay these girls than just to do it in the US.
