Of course you "hear" about these type of scams (not with Tinder), although most people just repeat things they hear and don't have any "real" evidence. There has been newspaper articles about foreigners getting busted in the guesthouse by police with the girls during the night when they are together with the girl. It is never in the morning after she is gone. Tinder is new, so these type of scams have probably not been "reported" yet.
BTW, are there many girls listed in Cambodia Tinder?
A woman interested in casual sex (without payment) is very unusual in Cambodia. There are no pick bars in Cambodia. Cambodian locals think they are either "good" girls or "bad" girls. But of course there are girls that want to fuck, even without payment. Hard to find them. Curious if it's a real girl (not tranny), and if she won't ask for payment.
Any type of scam, including Tinder, is possible in EVERY country in the world.
The easy solution is just make sure your hotel will check / keep her ID. Good thing you have a hotel instead of an apartment.

I've visited twice and I'm amazed at how many more hostess bars popped up since my last visit. My take after my last 5 day stays was this. I tried the popular bars and found a lot of the real hotties will work you for lady drinks, even try to get you to by their friends a drink or two but when it comes time to bargain or get down to business they call in a professional worker. It happened a few times to me. So I drifted down to the less busy bars where the girls are hungrier. True, not as many hotties but the attitudes and service were way better. They were farther away from riverside, I'd pop my head in and most were empty which made for a quieter atmosphere with more attention to you by your choice of girls. 69, Candy Bar, Lady Butterfly were too pushy and bait and switch for me. Just my opinion.
Are there certain bars or areas that have Viet girls? I've heard many go to Cambo to work anonymously to make some money. Just curious to find out if they gravitate to a certain area or bar / bars.

I swung by one day during my recent trip. No Viets there. I did not stay long as the aircon was quite bad and the bar felt quite stuffy. A couple of decent looking Khmer girls. Pool table at hte back. Music of your choice played on Youtube. Couple of other bars adjoining this one. Nothing in there to stop for.

But for some reason they have been cleared out, very sparse indeed, they were certainly too much competition for the locals.
