Dude, are you serious? Then why are there no cities like Medellin in USA? Because there is actually economic opportunity in USA, so women don't have to be hookers.
Have you ever heard of a website called craigslist? Backpage? Onlyfans? Instagram? LOL. There are plenty of cities like Medellin in the USA. They did not stop making hookers when they made the ones in Medellin. They actually exist all over the world.
And women do not have to be hookers anywhere. Billions of women all over the world with normal jobs prove this. Hell, covid proved this when everything was shut down. There were not a bunch of women out in the streets of Medellin dead because there was no economic opportunity.
And why don't you see just as many old hookers as you see young ones? Did economic opportunity appear all of a sudden only for yesteryear's hookers? Because I am sure they still need money to live the same as they did when they were young hookers.
If anyone on this board knows any Colombian women who are not hookers that are sitting around unemployed, please speak up. Maybe my experience in Colombia is not accurate, but in 20 years if I have even known a Colombian who lost her job then she is right back with another job, not out horeing with the excuse of she can't find a job. I have said it before: Go meet some normal people then report back how they all need to be prostitutes or risk homelessness and starvation. This is some monger fallacy BS.
I like hookers just as much as the next man, but I do not see a need to make excuses for them. If a broad wants to sell me some pussy, then more power to her, but I know she is not doing it because it is impossible to get another job. I like to use an example of a chick in Thailand who I offered to make some money cleaning my place. She straight up told me, "I do not clean; I fuck for money. " There are Help Wanted signs out everyday in Parque Lleras, but you would have us believe chicks in Medellin have to be hookers because they can't find jobs.

If you are going to pull from parque lecheras get a place next to there with security to help mitigate getting scolped just for banging. There a "report of distinction" where a guy did that. I use the two hotels system in Tijuana for example because of the noise in zona norte and only bring a max of 3 girls a day to the hotel I sleep in. You can probably bring a couple guests no problem. Be selective about who you bring back to your main place.

I noticed the attached very stern warning. Is this really enforced or is this just added to the website to absolve airbnb from legal liability? Has anyone had problems because they brought a girl into their room? I was in Medellin two years ago, at a different airbnb apartment, and no one noticed or cared, however I don't recall seeing this warning message.
Yup
Thanks for the info. You know, when I was younger and in better shape, I used to pull waitresses all the time here in the states. One was a Mongolian chick I dated for about a year.
Same playbook every time- like you mentioned. See a cute girl waitressing, check for a ring. No ring, flirt. Leave a fat tip (like double the check), do a number ask. Success rate was more than 50% on this. Have you tried it with any of the hooters waitresses?
Two came from Seeking.com and the other was a waitress in a caf, every morning I go to a different place for a tinto and buuelos and if there is a decent looking girl there I chat them up. Seeking takes a lot of time and skill weeding out the true pros but I find it easy but time consuming when searching in a big city like Medellin where there are thousands of girls on the site but I'm retired so I have plenty of time on my hands.

It is a two person room, so is my girlfriend a "guest"? Especially if she's only visiting for an afternoon not overnight. Do you think the owner is going to be banging on the door demanding that my friend leave? Or maybe they will? I think it will be ok if they just want to see her ID. Actually maybe that is safer for me.
Anyone who is not registered at check-in is a guest. There are some very nosey people in Medellin. I have rented a couple of airbnb's where residents complained because I had young ladies visit me. I don't have parties, don't do any drugs, and I don't play loud music. Some owners are understandable if you tell them your visitors are friends you have known for a while. Some are not. I know the owner you are renting from, and have rented from him several times. He is a good guy. If you don't create any problems, you will not have a problem.

In the case of Airbnb the owner or host of the unit can make these rules, and Airbnb will back them completely, so you could be out on the street with no refund, or worse yet have police knocking on your door.

I agree completely about nosy Colombians. Some of it is cultural. Within seconds, random people you meet for the first time and engage in casual conversation like uber drivers or shop clerks routinely ask what gringos consider highly personal questions. Some examples, are you married, do you have children, are they with you here in Medellin. The questions get much more intrusive if it's not the first encounter. The conversation cues we use to signal discomfort and disinterest in the line of questioning (E. G. No "and what about you, what is your family structure? Don't work here. The questions don't stop.

This is some monger fallacy BS..
I can't agree with you on this as we see it differently and I don't care enough to get into a debate or waste more forum space LOL. Here are my finals thoughts as such. Everyone may think what they want on this topic.
I never said all women in Colombia are hookers or even a majority. You are kind of twisting my words there. There are however many more young attractive women open to sex for payment in Colombia as compared to the USA. There are no cities in USA that can even come close to the pay for play you can find in Medellin, Cartagena, or Bogota. Craigslist and Backpage in USA is disgusting and frankly dangerous. Personally if I want to meet someone and get to know them, just me personally, I want them to speak the same language as them. I would pick someone from USA for that for me. For those fluent in Spanish and have made meaningful Colombian relationships, god bless you and you have my envy.
It is my strong opinion that lack of economic opportunity leads to higher proportions of women engaging in prostitution all over Latin America. The people in Colombia are no more inherently lazy than any other group of people, but when the average salary is 8 k a year vs drinking and getting fucked by rich foreigners in fancy hotels in a beautiful city for several hundred a night, more women are going to engage in prostitution. If there was an abundance of men who were willing to pay a women 4 k or 5 k a night to fuck in USA, guess what? More women would be selling there shit. There simply isn't enough men with that much disposable income in the United States to facilitate that. There are however an abundance of careers which pay 90 k a year or more. 90 k is now average USA salary. Crazy, fucking inflation.
And again, I am not making excuses. This is the reality I perceive when I visit these places and pass these judgements. I have been to cities all over USA and there are no places like the clock tower or Parque Lleras. There are street walkers, but man I never seen one that I would want to put my dick in, hell no not for me. Well maybe a few, but they are were probably way more pricey and no near as numerous as a place like Parque Lleras.
You don't see old hookers because that's a niche market. If a man is paying, most men want a young hot girl, not a saggy tit and ass worn out women in her forties or fifties.

If you don't create any problems, you will not have a problem.
Oh really? You know this guy, Alex? What are the odds! My impression is that the airbnbs in Medellin are generally run down buildings purchased by an investor who then renovates it and divides it up into airbnb apartments. The person you deal with is an employee of the owner, a caretaker. I currently rent an apartment as I have several times in the past plus a half dozen airbnbs. I pay on time. Don't damage anything. Don't make noise. Everyone is happy. I'm mystified as to why someone would panic if I have a prostitute in my room. How do you know she's a prostitute? I'm 65 and I think that I am old enough to have a lady visitor.

All the top sex tourism destinations attract bucket loads of young American girls. Don't ask me why they want to go there though, I couldn't tell you. I remember seeing a hot group of girls in Cartagena and approaching them only to realize as I got closer they were sadly American. Punta Cana, same thing, but black American women. Older women too. Jaco beach, yeah same thing, loads of American chicks.

Walk around El Poblado. See the grave of Pablo Escobar. See graffiti. To each his own but I can't see specially paying for lodging and transportation to Medellin to enjoy these riveting activities. Maybe this is just a cover story but they are actually coming for cheap drugs?

I researched the recent problems with sex work in Medellin.
On March 28,2024 an American man got caught with an 11 year and a 12 year old girl in his hotel room.
https://colombiaone.com/2024/04/18/american-child-sexual-exploitation/
This caused a uproar because it appeared that the government was indifferent to foreigners hiring girls under 14. There was apparently an effort to ban streetwalkers in El Poblado. Mayor Federico Gutirrez proposed regulating short-term rentals on apps like Airbnb to curb sexual exploitation, but backed down and reached an agreement with the platform to exchange information on foreigners.

I'm not interested in 12 year olds so I hope I'll be ok.
