I am in Santo Domingo, Hotel La Morada. I paid 1500 pesos which at 38. 55 I exchanged at the Banco Popular airport branch it was 38. 90 equivalent in dollars. Later I exchanged money at Franks. 38. 75 was the exchange rate.

Bad new for me: yesterday I got sick. It is the first time in 5 years I got sick. So that means no girlfriend experience. Ariel took me to the city. I was expecting to see the 362 in front of 361 but in front of 361 it was 406, then 601 or some similar numbers. 362 is not in front of \361, it is on another block a little east on the same street. Hotel Jaragua casino is now fully operational. They added an apparent VIP area. The merengue bar is still there with live music. Next to the Merengue bar entrance are stairs up to a new 5 Stars International sports club with lots of giant screens, they are promoting a Super Bowl event there. I saw a few working girls near the street side casino entrance and a few inside the casino.

The numerous guys who asked me for phone numbers all got phone numbers and pics of girls in San Pedro (for those who did not get the info, I apologize. In any case, if you speak reasonable Spanish, a day or two hanging around San Pedro will hook you some beautiful GFE. The city sucks otherwise (no beach, widespread poverty, not very clean). I recommend you go to the malecon BEFORE the action starts, as once it starts the noise level makes talking difficult. I have never been able to pick up a girl when she could not hear me.

As for the Barcelo Capella itself- it would be far nicer if you could bring in another chica every night. Juan Dolio actually has a nice street and bar scene on the weekends. Its definitely not the type of place you go to without bring your own girl.

I flew into SDQ with a wingman, rented a car and drove to the Marriott Renaissance Jaragua Hotel and Casino on the Malecon in Santo Domingo and parked the car near the lobby entrance (secure location, luggage was in the car). Me and a wingman had a room at the Capella for that trip, that was booked and paid for online. I invited the chica in the photo to meet me at the Marriott Renaissance Jaragua Hotel and Casino for a first time meeting in person. She showed up alone and I invited her to Juan Dolio and the Barcelo Capella. I drove there with her and my wingman in the car and we all checked in at the same time (she did not have pajamas so she used some clothes my wingman loaned her). The Capella charged $50 for her to enter and stay overnight (all inclusive, food and drinks included). Capella off-season is around $60US per person, double occupancy room, food and drink included.

Two guys staying at the capella paying about $60US per night, could rent a room at the caribe paraiso for around $40US ($20US per guy) per night and split time using that room for sex. Food, drink and lodging for around $80US per day.

Barcelo Santo Domingo is now rated #2 on tripadvisor for santo domingo. Club Premium rooms if you get them at a good price are a good value (beer, soda, wine, juice, coffee, snacks for free in the club premium lounge). Good size pool and an outdoor Jacuzzi on the 9th floor that is open till 11pm. It is more guest friendly than what I have experienced at the big hotels on the Malecon. Driving on Maximo Gomez sucks, traffic, AMET and PN checkpoints during the day and PN at night on motorcycles. US government building a few blocks from the Barcelo Santo Domingo. Early check-in and late check-out, free wifi, free parking for club premium rooms.

As I posted, you can find some nice girls in the barrio in Juan Dolio. I met some through a local along the new road.
