But go to any Western country and your find hundreds and hundreds of Thai working girls working in Thai massage parlours and No one complains about them. In New Zealand there are many Thai girls advertising and No one nor the police complain. Grow up Thailand, its an international world now.

In any market and in any industry, when there is an incursion by foreign talent when local talent is available in plenty and that local talent is not making enough money, there will be protests. Think about what would NZ farmers do if the country decided to import dairy products. There would be riots I reckon.

In Phuket the tuk tuk drivers were paid by the local Thai bars to protest the presence of Russian massage parlours. So the Police cracked down on them. Thailand and Russian have the same ignorant sense of business, they think that banning the competition is good for business, but its the opposite that applies, it attracts less customers and actually lowers business. There are Thai girls World Wide and no one complains about it.

The standard of living is very high in those countries and girls are better educated nowadays. There are plenty of other options available for them to make a legitimate income. If all else fails, there is always welfare.
The void is readily filled by Thai, Korean and PRC girls who go to Australia or NZ in their thousands to study. As their English is very poor, the only part time jobs available to them are waitressing in Asian restaurants, cleaning or prostitution. While there, they drop their subject load to the bare minimum (so they don't get deported) and get on with earning money to pay their fees, to support themselves and to send home.
I know one Thai hooker in Sydney who has been studying management (or mann-et-ment in thanglish) at a technical school for the past 5-years. She only enrols in one subject a semester and keeps getting her student visa extended. School takes up 2-half days a week and she works as prostitute 4-days a week (at two different brothels). She also sees clients at her flat after school. She's on the pill and skips the placebo days, so effectively can work all year without getting a period. She makes around $3,000 a week, tax free. Despite her being here for 5-years, her English is abysmal.

I tried Shock39 a few days ago and it was absolute garbage and half empty. Most of the Uzbek WG's are gone, and it was only Thai and some Russians. Less customers also.

I can confirm that Thailand seems to be cracking down on visas for foreign girls. I've just had a word with one who had planned to get her visa in one of Thailand's neighbouring countries and she may have to leave said country without having got her visa. This pisses me off no end as I had booked the girl for my upcoming 6-week trip to Samui & Koh Tao.

Generalising). Yet Aussies go to Thailand to get more to choose from, prettier girls, and much cheaper of course if you want more than 30 minutes. Once you have tried the variety available in Europe, you would give up local mongering very quickly (hypothetically). Aussie born hookers are usually absolutely terrible (with rare exceptions).
On other topic, hookers from other countries can get into NZ much easier than Aus, so I expect the quality and variety available would be much better than Australia by a large margin. NZ still probably cannot compete with Europe (e.g. Germany) for best value for money girls.
