Not only they will charge the entrance fee but they will also add a 10% service charge even if you get your beer from the bar and on top of that another 10% on the entrance fee.
Just tell the girl in the cashier that you bought your beer directly in the bar and that you have no intention of paying any 10% de taxa de serviço. Works for me.
BTW, I've been at some Comida a Kilo/selfservice that adds 10% as well. Same thing, don't pay. No garçon means no tax.

Remember to check your bar tab after ordering a drink. Make the complaint at once if something is not correct. I have heard about scam at Cafe del Mar where customers have been added several more drinks than received. The following discussion with the security personel is not very funny.

Thanks for the help all. I was able to enter both Europa and Cafe Del Mar for free. An old "friend" was lurking outside and asked the door man for free entries for me. I had to buy a drink for her, but we agreed on a cola before entry and she kept her word. I lost her after I got in so I guess I will not have such luck again on tonight's tour.
Note. I read about the quality here often. I find that there are some that fit the "fortaleza look", but there are just as many that look pretty damn good to me (yes before many cerveja).
Mombo (Kapital) has reopened. Now it is the "Titantic" upstairs is partly open now like Cafe Del Mar. Planning to hit it Friday as my last stop.
Don't forget Zippi's. Good starting place. Pay as you drink. No card, no entry fee and it has been very busy the last two nights at 11:00pm.
Tchau,

Again some photos from Fortaleza.
These where found in the outskirts of Fortaleza, at an outdoor Boité called Casa de Forró. Crowded with locals, Live forró music, with no other tourists, as I could see.
The girls are of the girlfriend type and I dont think so experienced. We had to work hard in competition with drunk local brasilians to have the girls, dance and chat a lot with them. Maybe I am fooled, but please let me have this imagination.
The girl in pink top is 19 and have some really huge juicy and firm breasts, and soon became a hottie willing to learn. A tasty memory to keep for my older days :-) The other girls in the photos are not tested by me, so no comments.
Fotos are NN.

Is that the same place as Kukukaya?

No, it was a lot more simple, like an open air space on the fields with hight walls around. It was really a rural district. I am sorry, I cant remember anything else than Casa de Forró.
We rented a driver with his car, he works like a waiter at Beira Mar (Barraca o' DeDe). He is a big, sporty fellow, you could say he was our friend and bodyguard this night :) Of course he have local knowlegde.
We had him from 9PM til 430AM. I guess he was driving about 70-80 km., and we paid him R$100, and food at the Chico do Caranguejo on Praia do Futuro (Thursday night festa). A lot cheaper and more fun than taxi.

I have been to a place like this, maybe it was the same. Also high walls around and an open air space with live music and local crowds dancing. We were two gringos each with his GDP who told the taxi where to go. Payed around 40 R$ to get there from Beira Mar, so go figure where this could have been...
But what an amazing place!
Hot women dancing an incredible style, so sensual... The music they played was of course forró style, they were singing portuguese (of course) - yet one song sounded familiar every few moments. That was strange until I realized it was an old ABBA song, with Brazilian rythm and Brasilian words :-)
Don't know if any of the girls would have been approachable, at least for my gringo's eyes there were no obvious GDPs.
All in all a great experience!
These are great adventures guys. A little too sketchy for a solo business traveler like myself. There is plenty around that is close to Beira Mar (where my hotel is) and also that place we are all familiar with. Big week for touristas from the south. But lots of talent to share.
Maybe next time I will find someone to share the risk and venture further out. Always hoping for the next visit.

Actually it could have been the same place. I have also noticed these kind of spots before, placed in the middle of nowhere, and been wondering how they can earn money, far away from everything. But as we all know, brasilians love to dance, and its accepted to party even on a Monday.
These girls received only a few reals for the taxi fee back home, and they was worried about their jobs in the morning, and had to make telephone calls. So in this case its not fair by me to describe them as GDP's.
For us this was a great experience, and something different from Iracema!

I agree with you. After all, as far as I know, that 10% is "opcional" in Brasil not a must.

Exactly! Thats why I said "obvious GDPs", your girls were just some out of these hundreds of normal girls who go there for dancing and having fun.
Here some more Fortaleza photos from 2007.
I have decided to put them into the Photo Gallery, but here is a taste - a nice ass in jeans.
Ok, next is an incredible girl I prefer til call Alex. Europa bar seems to be her place. Mother of one child, still just in her very early twentyes.
She is so entustiatic and girlfriend type, and are very, very clever. She has some lively eyes, and are just funny to stay with. All the time talking and laughting, before under, and after the session. I have promised myself to look for her next time.
Attatched photos are both nonude and sexual. I have done a few corrections in order to protect the girl, and myselfes.
