Photoprepagos (I think it's spelled with "ph") is a good resource. You can rely on the reviews. Normal precautions (don't bring a lot of extra cash or valuables and keep track of what you do bring) are generally sufficient. No positive reviews would be a red flag.

Hey guys, for this holiday season, I'm visiting Medellin from the Dec 22nd 'till Jan 10th. I'm in a weird position this year, where I have nobody to celebrate the holidays with back home. Being a non-Spanish speaker, does anyone have any suggestions on what to do during Christmas and NYE? Any fun events? Suggestions for activities (including mongering, like what's open or where I should look if I want to bust a quick nut, or just normal fun things), will be appreciated.
Also, has anyone checked out Gringo Tuesdays? I want to meet up with other mongers, not sure if that event is worth it?
I've been wanting to learn some Spanish while I'm here, anyone have any tips or things that really helped them learn while in Medellin?

Any type of place that caters to mostly locals is EXACTLY where I want to be.

Also frequenting a place like a soda, restaurant or coffee shop with a hot local brings familiarity. Just play casual strike a conversation and see if she is willing to hang out after or before work. It has worked for many here including me. Lights around plaza del Rio is pretty. Say you want to check it with her and see how it goes. The thing is that for most Colombian women they tend to travel to their places for noche buena until new year so you might not find as many until after new year. Good luck.

These guys travel to a foreign country and act like they never left and bring their bad attitudes, arrogance and sense of entitlement. They could care less about the local culture and traditions. It's only about "them".

Sometimes youll find that multipple girls will use the same canned responds so you can from there figure out of its a casa or maybe a fly by night one that has just a couple of people. Also a lot of the better indepdneants tend to work out of the same aparmtent complexes. Safe bets are the ones in Las Palmas or in Poblado at Bel monte or that other one near Ciduad Del Rio. I would not visit providers in Bello, or too far south. There will be a lot of providers near Estadio and near Unicentro, that is whre I would be more cautios and watch uour back with mostling how you move. Getting in and out of your taxi, waiting outside the door before they open it etc. Just extra street smarts and trust your gut.

Most of the risk is bait-and-switch. Never be afraid to walk away. Never sleep with someone you don't like.
I always screenshot and send the exact picture of who I'm interested in. Ask about upsell costs. Sometimes they have a better attitude when paying for the full hour versus half.
Sometimes they quote slightly cheaper rates to a +57 country code inquiry.
The listings with blurred-out faces can be frustrating. I ask them for a better photo; if they refuse, I tell them I need to decide in person.
Most of the time, these listings will lead you to a casa or massage parlor.
Usually, they have a personal WhatsApp number or social media. They may have cute friends.
I do not do domicilios before meeting these chicas. If you do this, meet her outside. If she doesn't look good, just offer 50 mil to go away.

Overall, they probably involve the least amount of drama and offer the prettiest women for their rate.
Tinder and Bumble have produced the most drama. There are a lot of chicas who will go silent when propositioned. It's safe to say that if you're a foreigner, they either want dinners, drinks, trips, gifts, cash, or to rob you. It's very unlikely that a hot paisa is on there looking for a fling with no strings attached—I know it does happen sometimes. There are chicas there looking for a real boyfriend.
Many of them will play the girlfriend angle first and accept dinner invitations. They will avoid sex until you offer money. These types might be willing to go on multiple dates and string you along indefinitely.
A direct proposition of cash weeds these types of dabblers out. Be careful if her price seems "off" or a "great deal."
Some of them will say they aren't a prepago, but they will do it for some high rate. I truly believe they believe themselves. They may not be a prepago, but they are very similar to the Facebook types from years past.
I would not allow them inside my apartment first time. A lot of guys do. Before I host someone at home, I get ID, social media, home address, workplace, school—all of it. It's too easy to get drugged now. They know the police won't help foreigners.

The hotter ones in Plaza Botero that I've found were just walking around. They were dressed a little better than the ones leaning out of the short-term hotel entrances in booty shorts and a tube top. Sometimes I can't tell if she's working unless she smiles and makes eye contact. There's very little time for hesitation.
The Veracruz chicas come out by 9 am And steadily increase as time goes by. Most want 50 to 100 mil. The short-term room is 30 to 40 mil. After one session in the STH, some are willing to travel to your place—just pay their taxi and normal rate.
Beware: There are a lot of minors working this area, and Medellin is looking to make examples out of foreigners lately. They all have fake IDs too. Avoid at all costs.

Afterwards, I visited a few spas in Laureles and they were much better (although pricier). The local mongers forum Catador Colombia ([URL]https://catadorcolombia.com/[/URL]) was a great help in finding these places. They rarely mention addresses but they do mention phone numbers. A short Whatsapp message (Hola.) usually led to full info about girls present (with photos). To get the street address, I had to ask where they are located. Used a Colombian phone number. Most of these places prefer that you make an appointment with a specific girl but you can also just show up and ask for a "presentacion".
The place I liked most on this trip was Tantra Massage: decent neighborhood, friendly reception and several very doable girls. I went there 4 times (repeated once with one girl). At the presentation, I saw six girls. Price 180 k for 1 hour (plus 50 k for BBBJ). That is on the high side for a Medellin spa but I really liked the quality and attitude of the girls.
Another really good place was Ellas Erotic in Belen. It is a clean place and recently renovated. There, I had a very good session with 18 yo Mariana. She was totally service-minded and with a body you might expect from a girl of her age. Price: 160 k (plus 50 k for BBBJ). While I was waiting for her, I saw several other girls, some of which also looked exactly like their photos. On another day, I went to Angeles Spa on Cra. 81. Prices were 170 k. If you don't pick a girl, it is 30 k for the presentation (they mentioned this to me when I got in). Had a great session with 22 yo Hanna. Good GFE with DFK but again 50 k extra for BBBJ.
I visited all of these places in the afternoon, making use of the metro, metrobus and electric bus (all within the metro system). Easy and cheap.
Next time, I'll check out more of these spas. There must be dozens of them all over Laureles and Belen.
Unfortunately there are not dozens. There are 10 or so of similar quality to those you mentioned. You can negotiate that extra charge down to 30 k or so with repeat visits. There are two Ellas Erotica locations. Overall I think they are the most popular of the lot and I think it's for the reason you mentioned, the facilities are recently renovated. I went to Golden House casa at Cara 80 A - #36-21 . Only one girl, Sophia, was available. She seemed to be in good spirits. I was quoted 120 k for 30 minutes and 170 k for 1 hora. I chose 120 k and ordered three beers for 12 k each. Sophia is 22 year old She has one baby, so a little bit of baby fat still on her. Really bib boobs, dark complexion.
