You go to a foreign country it's best that you learn to use their currency. If people want to pay extra or whatever that doesn't bother me. To talk dollars in Lleras or anywhere else in Colombia is lazy. Don't assume that Colombians know the value of the dollar.
If you need help there's a conversion calculator on your iPhone if you have one.
100% agree, always use local. I was just talking in US dollars to show relative amount here on the forum. Really reconsidering whether I should go there or not. The whole point of Medellin was it was supposed to be within my budget. For the amounts quoted here, I could go Sao Paulo instead and have a blast.
Looks, this is Colombia. Once you are in a room alone with a girl, anything can happen between you and the girl and it is legal. So it is up to your negotiating charm. I don't think any place could qualify as 'no sex' unless it is a very official / expensive / spa commercial operation, but even then, I'm sure everything can be negotiated. For example, I've had very good luck with Masajes Mandalay (Laureles). Get to know a girl, 'try her out', get her WhatsApp and then make a good solid contact for future dates. Heck, I took the manager's WhatsApp once and dated her a couple times. Rule of thumb is the pricier Poblado type places may get prettier girls (they gravitate to the higher profit obviously), but you will still find amazing talent elsewhere. Of course everything I say is subjective, and your personal experience may vary. But the beauty of Colombia is the ladies attitude at these places, they are not insulted if you ask for more, and most are open to working something out.

There is a big difference between guys staying here for a while and those visiting for a short time. Guys staying here for a while aren't trying to maximize the number of times that they have sex. They have sex when they feel like having sex and there could be a number of days when they pass on it because they don't feel like it. That is not happening with guys on a short visit. Long term guys also can establish a relationship with girls and for those asking for money, the girls may be willing to accept a lower rate from the long term guys than the short term visitor because the long term guy will be around for a while. So, the price long term guys pay may not be the price that a short term visitor will pay.
This website is a mix of short term and long term guys but the objectives are different.
Now I am actually visiting Medellin for a few months so I can take my time. Most days are just me doing what I usually do at home. I am retired now but I keep busy with some remote work and trading in the market. The biggest different from home is that when I feel like having sex with a young attractive woman, it is easy to arrange. Does Medellin or Colombia work as a long term place to stay? Yes, but you need to start learning Spanish if you don't already speak Spanish. Most of the long term guys speak Spanish at a decent level but I am still at the learning stage. There is a big difference in life in Medellin if you can speak good Spanish. That is not a surprise but it requires time and effort to learn Spanish and most guys don't want to do it.

You fail to understand that though it is the foreigners paying these inflated prices for rentals and real estate purchases it is because Colombians are setting these inflated prices. Do you think foreigners are coming to Colombia and asking to pay MORE than the advertised price? The increase in real estate sales and rental prices falls straight on Colombians, not foreigners. Furthermore 90% of rentals and real estate purchases are by Colombians and NOT foreigners so how can it possibly be the fault of foreigners? As far as chica prices go you can get laid for 50.000 pesos in El Centro and 1. 000.000 in Parque Lleras and there are prices everywhere in between so it is up to the foreign monger to decide what he wants to pay, whether he chooses to pay the 1. 000.000 or slum it in El Centro for 50.000 that is his choice. And for fuck's sakes for the thousandth time you guys stop asking these girls "how much" and nicely but firmly tell them how much you pay, act like you know what you're doing and not a clueless tourist even if you are one.
Well thought out and nicely articulated comments about Medellin mongering scene. Good job guys. The three of you spoke on different topics, but interestingly summarized pretty much my life and experiences in Medellin. Every one of us has a different style of doing things and there is no right or wrong. Your comments motivated me to share how I do things.
I don't live here, but I spend several months a year, at one to two weeks at a time approximatelyfor the last 12 -13 years. I learned decent Spanish over this time using Pimsleur app. When I'm here, I'm quite busy with work so I keep to myself and I do not socialize with any gringos. I have absolutely nothing against it, but it is the time factor. I do not have any male colombian friends either. Because my time is short, and I spend my mornings working, I dedicate all my late afternoons and evenings to hanging out with my amorcitos.
I typically spend 2 to 3 hours with a girl. I routinely eat and drink with them. I try to be a good host. I ask them if they're hungry and order food before they ask me. I get to know them, their families their life situation and I genuinely listen to them and I try to advise them. They are typically under 21, not book smart due to bumdass education in Colombia but street-smart. Most do not have fathers or any kind of mentors at home. In this culture, they do not care that you are 2 to 3 times their age. They're happy to chill or party with a papacito. If you want a girlfriend experience, you have to treat them like a girlfriend. It is not cash that buys you a true girlfriend experience.
I obviously love sex and lots of it which I make it very clear but I romance them. I have small gifts for them, get a place with Jacuzzi or hot tubs and I pamper them with a massage, if time permits. I take them out on outings and most importantly, I treat them with respect and I don't act cheap. I volunteer to call them Uber or pay for their Inddrive without asking for proof of what they paid. Ha ha. I do my best to make sure that they have a great time every time they come see me. I make them feel so comfortable and that sometimes they do not want to leave! I have to gently nudge them out with an excuse because the next one is coming. All the good vibes aside I also know that they're young adults and young adults need boundaries. I make it very clear to them that my boundaries are non negotiable. Every one of my girls know that a once they hear a no from me it is a no and they can't ever push it. I tell them I'm generous, but I'm not stupid. Because I treat them well, in return they show me an amazing time with a lifetime worth of memories. I sincerely believe in spending money to make memories.
I prioritize class over cost. When you treat a girl nicely and show some class, the next time she comes, she wants to bring a friend. Since I'm still working, my time is valuable. What more can a guy want when a beautiful girl wants to bring another beautiful girl without you searching for hours on Facebook. And so your network grows organically. And when I do find a gem, I arrange a friends with benefit relationship. That makes it more expensive but less transactional feeling. My gem is a beautiful girl with a sweet face, tight body, goes to gym, all natural honest smart, and either goes to university or has some job and lives with family. A girl who is living independently, most likely is working a bit too much from my taste. There's nothing wrong with it, but does not generally belong in the friends with benefits category. But the key factors are good energy and no drama. At any given time, I have 5 to 8 girls and I see them 1 to 3 times in a week. I don't insist on loyalty but I curate them for low frequency. If you befriend, a girl who is busy studying or working, she's less likely to be sleeping around with a new guy every day. I don't check their phones nor do I track them. I just want them to be available when I want to see them. If a girl says no to me twice, I put her on notice and the third "no' gets her off my list. I don't fight with any of them for any reason. If something is off, I just stop seeing them, as there are plenty more, but I do remain friends and I greet them occasionally and check on them during holidays and birthdays.
I bet there are a ton of guys that do what I do, but most probably they are too busy to take the time to write on this relatively thankless forum. Ha ha.

You put a basic need limited supply on a market with potential illimited demand. Almost all poor country with high toursitic demand are condemning the future generation to poverty when they let foreigner buy real estate. Thailand tried to block this, and foreigner can't own land in thailand, but the country is so corrupted that foreigner are using a third party to get access to the market. For people who are payin a million cop for a girls. They are dumb. Someone who is going there maybe I can get it. They think its a life deal but if you go in medellin more often and continue to pay a million cop for a girls. Well you should travel in dubai instead or anywhere where you can get girls who are even prettiest then the one in Medellin minus the risk of being shot dead randomly for your shoes.
This is why I don't post prices in my reports. Someone always turns it into a discussion about money and not about quality, service or the experience. It is like when someone posted a review about a restaurant, and imagine the discussion getting hijacked and ends up being about the cost of the bill and not about the quality of the food, ambience, or the service. That would be a shame. Don't you agree?
I don't run or operate these businesses. I'm just a customer like everybody else here. I just don't mind paying as I see a value in it. People that don't see a value in it don't have to partake. If someone wants to travel to Medellin for cheap sex, I'm sure plenty of that is available.
What people should be happy to know about Medellin are the variety of options available and that is a good thing. This forum is about sharing information and not about criticizing one's voluntary choices.
On which planet is the service, quality of the food not related to the price. A 5 $ meal will be judged differently than a 100 $ meal if the same meal is served at those prices. Basic business reality.
My understanding is that the safety in Medellin is ass. I've never been there, but based on what I've read, seen, and coming to my own conclusions, it basically looks to me that every fuck-able girl you see walking in el Poblado is working with a gang and is walking specifically there to find their next target to drug and rob.
I don't know how true that is, but that's the vibe I'm getting based on everything I know.
In terms of pricing? Well, it doesn't matter what the price is.
If the risk is that you get drugged, robbed, and / or killed, the price could be $1 and it still wouldn't make sense to participate.
So pricing, is really an irrelevant factor in this discussion.
What's irrelevant is people who haven't been there giving completely clueless opinions. The next time you start with 'I have never been there, but' maybe stop and think. Or just make a fool of yourself.
Not been to Medellin but am planning to go in a month or so. Based on some of the pricing here action seems to start around $100 usd in the parque Lleras area. Of course centro and others will be cheaper but come with some risk.
Not 'start around'. That should be the most you offer. The mistake new people make is asking how much. Girls don't have a set price. They're obviously trying to get as much as they can out of every guy. You tell them what you're offering and then stick to it and the girl will either go for it or not. Most usually they will. 300 to 400 K COP is the current Poblado norm (that's 75-100 USD with some rounding). And obviously in other places, other conditions, other times that can be lower. But never, never ask how much. Again, they don't have a set price. They're going to look at you and try to figure out how much extra they can get out of you. It's not uncommon for the girls to go around the park asking for 600 COP or more as their price, just ignore that and state / stick to what you are offering.

Another member drew a helpful distinction between living here and visiting. Speaking only for myself, the girls I enjoy hanging out with when we are not in bed are a subset of those I take to bed. My opinion is it's somewhere between very difficult and impossible to figure out which girls you enjoy spending time with when you are not in bed if you aren't here full time. The good news is that doesn't really matter if you aren't here full time. The other bit of good news, in spite of doom and gloom posts to the contrary, it's not at all difficult to find girls you are attracted to that you can fuck.
Sounds like a lot of work.

But in the event that you're wrong, and that I'm right, there is a real possibility to end up getting drugged and waking up with your online bank accounts drained.
When mongering in a different country, it's ideal that one sees zero reports of druggings and robbings of their fellow mongers. At this point, we've all seen the Colombian drugging videos on youtube by now.
Sounds like a lot of work.
What if you just want to fuck them?
You can do just that for the girls you just met. There is a difference between bed / sex time, and staying time. There is no reason to waste time and effort If all you want is bed time. Ideally, it's better to start with sex and end with sex, then do everything in between or after sex.
Having said that, it does not hurt to be prepared when the situation arises. Go to the grocery store D1 to pick up drink and food. I strongly don't recommend ordering food as the wait time is uncertain and that may cut into your bed time if you have not clarified that in advance. Don't solve the problem with more money and time when you can solve it with less time and under $5.
I have done everything that have been mentioned here. I have a large fridge full of foods and drinks. I order food sometimes for the girl that I know well, or for occasions like birthday. Often we took Uber to go out the get them in person. But now I act after I observer first and not on auto-pilot like before.

I would say the majority of the girls you see are not working with gang. More common is that they have husband or boyfriend.
El Poblado and Laureles are safer than El Centro. In Laureles, Estadio is safer than Suramerica. I have stayed from south to north and from east to west alone the metro lines for more than a month at a time and I walked all over the city. Overall, Sao Paulo in Brazil and Buenos Aires in Argentina are much safer than Medellin. For Centro in Sao Paulo or Rio are safter than Centro in Medellin. I have walked for more than 1 hour after or around midnight in all these areas. I have lived in all the cities mentioned no less than 6 months in the past few years.
Safety is relative. You have to know the background of the poster. A poster who goes out only during daytime and travel in limited area or always travel by Uber will have a different perspective.
