Day 1:
Arrived at the Bangkok airport around midnight, waited about 20min to get my luggage and then followed the directions from in this forum about where to catch a legit taxi. Was worried a little about the scams going on in the airport but nothing happened, so I figured I was off to a good start.

Not sure how long, but it is about 1:30am and this guy is cruising at around 60kmh getting passed by every cab and car on the road, so I'm wondering at this point if I'm paying not only for distance but time as well (anyone know as I never figured that out). Now, don't expect some big driveway or large sign pointing you into the Lodge, the place is tucked away by a walkway and in front of this walkway are taxi guys hanging out and street vendors selling food so they kind of block it and hide it a bit (at least at night) and that is what made me miss it the first time. This time there was a LL staff member waiting for me and he took my suitcase and led me in.
