* the price of entertainment is 2 or 3 times more expensive than neighbour countries (Thailand.) for less quality of service.

* real estate 5 o 6 times expensive for more dirty cities.

* street local food is less safe and tasty.

* cost of living is up.

- hopefully, with mobile apps like PassApp we now have good prices and facilities for transportations. No need to bargain venal tuktuks anymore.

- also, we still have easy long term visas, but, for how long?

Now it is difficult to take a new girl for less than 40 dollar and many don't go for less than 50 dollar. The going rate is not 100 dollar, but it is also not 20 as before. I been to Cambodia 3 time never need to change money I always just use USD bring small bill one and five for motor bike and hotel will also change your 100 usd bill to smaller usd bill, the THB is also widely use I use 50 bht for short trip on motor bike most vendor will give you small change in Riel and I just give it to the kid on end of my trip.

This is my second time here. 4 years ago I got a chick for 13 ST (Walkabout) and another chick for 28 LT (Heart of Darkness). This time it is like I am in a different Cambodia. Bar fines are ranging from 10-17. In some places they say barfine is buying x amout of lady drinks. Like one place you have to buy 4 lady drinks at 3.75 each. Then the chicks are wanting 50-70 ST or 100 LT after that.

At 2am last night I was able to talk a chick at Tiger bar on 136 down to 12 BF and 30 ST. Then they kept trying to make me buy 2 drinks before I could bar fine her. I told them no way. They gave in and I took the chick to my room for an hour.

Before that, me and a wingman were at Pontoon. Chicks were talking 100 ST and 150 LT. What has happened to this place?

And bar girls are still running the drink scams. The other night 5 of us were on 104. Chicks lured us into Rose Bar. We are trying to talk about getting some ass. They always pressure you by saying buy a drink first, then we talk about it. As soon as we bought drinks those biches left us and headed to the other side of the room never to return. 48 more hours until I am back home in Pattaya. This place can go to hell.

Last night I visited some places at the main intersection on 136. I ended up bar fining a girl from a place, but I forget the name. It is across from Mr. Butterfly.

Cost:

- Beer for me $2.

- Drink for her $3. 75.

- Bar fine $10.

- Her ST ask $50.

I agreed to her asking price of $50. All in this cost me $65.75. My guess is you won't get much cheaper from any of the main bars at that intersection. I'd say the girl was an 8 as far as looks and body go. She let me do whatever I wanted during our ST together and she had a good attitude with good English skills. ST in this case included two shots and she left shortly after the second shot, which was exactly what I wanted. Overall, it was a good experience and I'll probably try different one tonight.

The prices are totally out of whack with what is on offer. Who is paying these prices? I've been to Cambodia / Phnom Penh many times over the years, and it was never a great place to monger in my opinion and add to that its deteriorated at a greater pace than all other countries (from a monger perspective). I struggle to find a cause for this. Is there a way for us to fight back against this? Maybe a monger's guild / union that blacklists certain bars / girls? Or approves certains bars?

Can anyone confirm if the GSM Bar complex (st 51) is completely torn down now?

Renovation is supposedly ongoing.

Was there in October 2017 and 2 bars remained open, but now read they are gone.

Where have the bars / freelancers relocated?

You can read some threads and see that mongers are anxiously waiting the return of some place that closed down 10 years ago. From my mongering experience around the world, when that shit is gone then it is gone. Nobody is building new mongering venues. They may recycle an old one, but new ones just don't happen. Just be thankful that you got to enjoy it while it lasted. Those chicks are probably somewhere waitressing now.

A buddy of mine last December took a bar girl $70ST and gave her $30 tip!

She was really cute and great service, when I BF her earlier this month. Gave her $70 and $10 for her great service. Yeah I am overpaying, but she remembered me and said my buddy gave her $100. F me!

In Cambodia, everything we need to bargain. For eg, 1 yr ago, I wish to take a taxi from pp airport to sihanok, the taxi man quoted me usd120. After a series of bargaining, the taxi finally agreed at usd60.
