As a pedestrian, what scares me about the motorcycles and scooters is that they treat anything paved or semi-paved as someplace ok to drive. I can't count the times I've almost been hit walking along a sidewalk in Poblado. I'm not nervous about the petty crime here. It's the motos and scooters that scare me.

At the same time, I have and wouldn't hesitate to take a Grab (Uber equivalent) motobike again next time I'm in Thailand. I haven't taken a motobike Uber in Medellin yet, just cars.

What is the General consensus for an American visitor to Medellin now? It's getting to be such a pain in the US to have paid consensual sex and honestly simply ridiculous, no wonder guys want to go outside the US to fu* Used to go the FKK Sharks in Germany but it has been an upselling hole with no guaranteed services and the girls there being very pushy and robotic now that there is no point in flying all the way to Germany. Pre Covid it was absolutely the place to be and with the new BJ laws there, it is going downhill pretty quick.
And so was exploring different avenues that are closer to the US, rather Texas. Can fly to Medellin quicker than flying to Europe. Not sure if it is worth now going to Medellin anymore. Have never been to Colombia before and also my Spanish is non existent. With the reports here stating that the airport officials are questioning single male US visitors and want to crack down on them, is it worth visiting Medellin for a US resident? Am also considering the Termas in Rio and São Paulo in Brazil but it's pretty much the same flight time as Europe. The biggest thing would be getting guaranteed good services without getting ripped off or shorted as my time would be limited to 2-3 days per visit, and so want to max it out to the best. FKK Club Globe in Switzerland is another option I am considering with it having good reports and hot blondes. And prefer BBFS, covers don't do anything for me nowadays and even though Club Globe doesn't allow BBFS, they have public sex, gangbangs etc to keep it exciting as a trade off.

It largely depends on the individual. If you can't give coherent responses to routine questions from immigration agents and if you are later found to be traveling with sex shop paraphernalia you may be sent back on the next flight. By routine questions, I mean "what is the purpose of your visit / where are you staying / what activities do you have planned. " As in any public situation, you should avoid looking crazy or thirsty.

Most Americans are able to enter Medellin without issues. There may be a few hundred out of thousands and thousands of foreigners denied entry or picked for enhanced interviews and luggage, phone, background checks, travel patterns if they are suspected of sex tourisms, travel doesn't match the story with one way tickets with vague plans, lack of funds, no clear accommodation details. It got stricter than before as the result of a few significant negative publicity following a spike in violent tourist deaths, robbing, scoped especially involving US citizens lured by dating apps. I was there a few months ago, plan to go again later this month. You are very unlikely to have issues if you have a clear itinerary, return ticket, hotel, consistent story, intentional about visiting tourist spots in and around Medellin.

The main challenge there is that most spots require appointments on Whatsapp, many are available at / after 11 am and don't accept walk-ins. If you are lucky, you might be able to get a same day slot, better to book one day in advance.

Yes, you can use Google Translate and such, but you want to have some basis for initializing conversation and understanding basic things. Also it may be useful to make your first trip a little longer so you can get familiar with the lay of the land. As long as you have some sort of plan when you arrive you will be fine. Can be as easy as googling the top restaurants in Medellin and tell them you are a foodie coming to visit the restaurants and readily list 3-4 major ones. What they are on the lookout is obvious (bros who are just coming with plans to party and hit up girls and have zero knowledge of the city or why they are there other than sex) so don't be obvious. But with such a short visit you can hit places like the top spas or houses and strip clubs (thinking Alacarta VIP, Des Spa, Spa Mandalay, La Isla, Fase II, etc.) and get some reliable service. BBFS is tricker and more of a case-by-case basis, girls here are health / cover oriented, but money talks.
