On a related note, I could not use my Capital One ATM card anywhere in Colombia last time I was there. Capital One bought Discover and now their ATM cards only work on that network. There were none that I could find in the entire country. Luckily I was able to send Money to my AirBnB hosts and they gave me cash.

The one super successful arrangement I had before she moved was hot as hell, but fucked up as hell too with many issues came to find out. A backup alternative is also good just in case your ATM card gets swallowed up by the ATM machine.

If you go to "LOS Patios" Hostel in Manila, they actually have two of them. On the rooftop, they have a bar, and on weekdays (I don't know the exact days, maybe it's Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), they have free music classes in the afternoon, right around the time it starts turning dark.
You will usually find a decent collection of young Northern European white blonde girls there, all trying to learn local music with very few male partners and a DJ calling out for the guys to join in and help the girls. They are friendly, looking to make friends, and easy to engage. Make some friends, invite them out to dinner, enjoy your evening!
Arrived on Saturday the 6th of June in the Laureles area. My first time in Medellin. I had a great time and averaged about one different girl per day. I tried online prepago sites, casas, and hunting in the wild in both Laureles and El Poblado where I had an Air BnB about half a block south of Parque Lleras. Hunting in the wild. Parque Lleras between 10 and 2 am Has dozens, maybe hundreds of girls walking around dressed up with nowhere to go. Easy to approach and inquire as to whether they are working or not and prices. I hooked up there three of the three nights I stayed there. Of course, prices and results varied. It seemed the base asking rate was 300 400 pesos everything covered. Negotiable after that.
The Parque had heavy police presence who would ask people who were lingering to move on. Stopped me and one girl that I was talking to and asked for IDs. Each of us were of legal age with passports and after lecturing the woman for about 5 minutes they let us move onback to my Air BnB where we closed the deal!
Overall, it was a good first trip.
