I've been doing the sugar babe thing now for the past year back home. I currently have three. Each one has some sort of issue. Two are unemployed and the third can't hold a job. Good luck finding a sugar babe who's normal.
I've been with dozens of girls from Seeking and my experience has been that the ratio of girls with issues on Seeking is no different than non working girls and a shit ton less than hookers. If a guy can't sort out the wackos and scammers immediately or certainly after the first meetup that is on him, I can spot most of them prior to meeting in person and 99% of them get weeded out before hitting the cama. I guess it also depends on what one considers "normal" and what one considers to be an "issue". We all have some kind of issue, I know I do, LOL. I have been with plenty of Seeking girls that I consider normal enough and have no major issues in my book.
I CAN FIX THEM! - every Joe.
With more and more and more money! LOL!
On a related note, I could not use my Capital One ATM card anywhere in Colombia last time I was there. Capital One bought Discover and now their ATM cards only work on that network. There were none that I could find in the entire country. Luckily I was able to send Money to my AirBnB hosts and they gave me cash.
The Capital One purchase of Discover is actually a pretty big deal for the holders of Capital One cards. In the States, people won't notice anything different. It's when you go overseas and try to use your Capital One card when you're going to notice since the Discover payment network is not nearly as prominent overseas as Visa and MasterCard, or even American Express. One of the best cards you can have for getting cash overseas is the Schwab debit card. They refund all ATM fees (not conversion fees though so look out), which is a damn good deal! I keep waiting for the sad day when they say they won't do that anymore. But so far after many years so good!

I believe that I have no issues but who knows there may be someone who thinks that I have, it can be a matter of personal perception. From the babes point of view perhaps a woman must have some sort of issue to be taking money for sex either through the hooker route or the sugar way.

I used my C1 card there last year.
So are you saying it won't work anymore?
If Discover had bought C1, then I would understand what you posted.
Since its the other way around, C1 bought Discover, how would this make a difference?
Pricing really depends on the quality and convenience you're looking for.
30 minutes at a downtown casa is like 80 k pesos which is $25 usd but the women aren't going to be amazing. Freelancers around centro are going to be around the same. One hour will be 100-110 k.
Casas in Beln are around 120-150 k per hour, 100 k per 30. The girls are great by global standards but mid range in Colombia.
Casas in Laureles are 180 k per hour, 120 k per 30. These girls are going to be some of the best looking girls you'll find in Casas. The finest women I've ever seen in my life have been here. This is also about how much you'll pay for girls that advertise online.
Lleras girls are going to be 300-400 k on average. They say per hour but they're leaving after you finish one time. These girls are all dolled up and offer the high end image. The most exotic and augmented girls will ask for usd around 150-200.
As long as you have hotel info ready and don't have dildos, condoms and viagra in your bag you'll have no issues with customs. And as far as crime, the chances of being a victim as slim as long as you don't stroll around with valuables showing or drink around tinder dates.
Which casas in laureles?

But what sets Discover and American Express apart from MasterCard and Visa is that the former two also issue their own cards that are serviced exclusively through their respective payment networks. One reason Capital One wanted Discover is because by owning it and using its payment network exclusively, it would no longer need to pay either MasterCard or Visa to use theirs. Whether Capital One bought Discover or the other way around would make no difference as long as the decision to exclusively use Discover's payment network was made. Now, whether or not your Capital One card will work overseas will depend upon whether the merchant accepts Discover's payment network. And since Discover is not as common around the world as the "Big 3" as I call them, the chances are much higher you won't be able to use your Capital One card as much overseas right now. For that reason, my advice would be to make sure you have a card (s) serviced by MasterCard or Visa as your primary go to (I would not even rely upon American Express primarily unless it's a hotel or restaurant maybe). I don't have any Capital One cards, but I do hold a Discover card that is now a part of the Capital One family.
I have been in 17 countries since this merger took place and use my Capital One card all the time with no issues.
I just did some quick research that revealed that as of mid-2026, Capital One is still in the process of transitioning all of its cards over to the Discover network, which is what I thought. Right now, they're a mix of MasterCard, Visa, and Discover processed cards, with new cards being issued using the Discover network exclusively. The goal is for all card activity to be eventually processed using the Discover payment network. So, if you're an existing card holder, a reason you may not have had any problems is because you have one of the old cards still on either the MasterCard or Visa network. Do your cards have MasterCard or Visa logos on them? When all Capital One cards are transitioned over to the Discover payment network, it's not that all of a sudden they won't be accepted at all anywhere overseas. It's just that they won't be accepted as much because the Discover payment network still isn't as large as those for Mastercard, Visa, and American Express. For the widest acceptance one should always have a MasterCard or Visa card available. Don't chance it with only an American Express or Discover processed card.
When you say "use" are you referring to debit purchases (point of sale)? Based on my experience, any merchant that accepts debit cards accepts the new Capital One debit cards. The problem I've had, and I think the problem the original poster is referring to, is ATM acceptance. I haven't found an ATM in Colombia that accepts the new Capital One card.

This happened some time ago. Around sunset, I was walking north along Cra 53 and I was thinking about turning a corner and going east on Calle 51 into the actual plaza. However I noticed that the plaza was already quite empty so I didn't think it was worth exploring. At that time, a guy started to approach me from the front, I turned around to try to get back to Cra 53 but another guy came up from behind, put me in a choke hold and the guy in the front started reaching for my pockets. Thankfully I was already back on Cra 53, where there were plenty of people. A bystander, a big burly Colombian dude came and yelled at both of the thieves and they ran off. I grabbed a taxi and GTFO'd. First, I didn't think it was very risky since there were still plenty of people there at the time, but some thieves are brazen enough to make a move like that, betting that no one would step in. I think I got lucky, because there was no guarantee that someone would step in and help. In hindsight, I should have probably avoided that entire area any time close to sunset.
This story sets up my question. Are there any sources of budget friendly girls after sunset that is relatively safe? Parque Lleras isn't cheap and the girls are gringo hunters. In fact at the current exchange rate, 400 mil for basic service from a Lleras girl is more expensive than the same level of independent girls in Sao Paulo and SP offers much better safety, and arguably a bit better overall quality.
With all the crap that has been going on in Medellin from the scop druggings, to robberies, to hassles at the airport immigration lines, do many of you feel that it's finally time to abandon Medellin for other destinations whether they might be other cities in Colombia or other Latin American countries like Brazil? For me, I've had two trips to Medellin and had no issues since I'm able to manage safety fairly well but after visiting both Rio and Sao Paulo this year, I'm really thinking whether or not that's it for me as far as Medellin is concerned. What about you guys?
Every man has to answer that for themselves. I will go as far as to say I don't recommend taking decisions based solely on what you read on the Internet.
