Great examples but I Disagree!
You are conflating not free with associated costs. If the radio station is giving away free tickets to the concert, let you tell it it is not free because you have pay for gas to get to the radio station to pick them up. Then you have to pay for gas to get to the concert, maybe pay for a new outfit, and pay parking at the venue. Those associated cost of using the tickets does not mean the tickets were not free.
Likewise it is not free to have a job. You have to buy a car with insurance to get there. Gas. Suits to wear. You have to pay for your lunch while you are there, among other things.
Hell, it would not even be free to sit in your house. You have to pay the rent, electric bill, lawnmover to cut the grass, the TV you want to watch, the food you want to eat, the water you want to wash clothes with, etc.
Having associated costs does not mean something is not free.
Those were pretty good examples, but out of all the ones you provided, none addressed the costs associated with sex or dating. Every example you gave comes with a known fee. If I don't interact with a woman, I don't incur those costs—so I'm not conflating anything. I'm simply saying that if you choose to interact with a woman, everything that comes along with that choice becomes a fee. If I don't interact with her, I don't have that fee. So, I tend to disagree. Stay vigilant. PN!
