Lima

I will be going to Lima in mid January and staying there for a couple of days before I take a roadtrip to Cusco, nasca, arequipa, etc. I have alwasy been with a couple of non-pros in Lima but I just hate the whole taking them out to dinner, making them fall in love, before they give it up. I know of Scarletts, Cucardas, and trocadero, but must say the only one that has nice chicas would be Scarlets. Is there any other clubs in Lima comparable to Scarlets or even better where the girls are pretty good looking and with nice bodys. Thanks for the info.

By the way I will be going for far more than one week .. even more than two weeks. And I'm going to do the online meeting as you suggested as well. Of course that has it's pitfalls.

Well, at least have chongos to fall back on. So I do dates with normal chicas in the evening and chongos in the day.

It has been my experience that gringos are desirable to Peruanas in general, and from the US in particular. Outside Miraflores and a few other neighborhoods gringos are rare so the Peruana conception of Americans is formed from the American TV shows. They might have seen the dirty Lonely Planet backpacker types but you know better than to look sloppy and be dirty when seeking Latinas, right?

Think about the following points, then extrapolate and formulate your game plan:

1) Girls in nightclubs in areas with lots of gringos are more likely to have had contact with American men so your novelty and desirability are lessened.

2) Girls in nightclubs either a) have money themselves b) are interested in your money.

With these things in mind it would probably be a good plan to go places with few gringos and make excuses to meet the chicas who would like to meet a gringo but are prohibited by circumstance. For instance, a girl selling trinkets in a mercado or on the street might enjoy chatting with a friendly gringo.

If this guy knows some basic Spanish and can ask her name and if she has a boyfriend or husband that might be a good place to start. If she is single it would be a good idea for the guy have learned how to say something like "A beautiful girl like you with no boyfriend/husband? How is this possible?"

If this guy really has it going on he will say that since she is so beautiful and single he would be very happy when she has free time if she would go with him for ice cream and he will have a pen and paper to exchange email and numbers.

Then the guy will follow up, get together, and work hard to make sure the girl tremendously enjoys her time with him.

I have been to a few but is not worth the effort. The Salsa Palace is good if your a great dancer but it is dangerous if you are leaving at 4-5am. Another area popular with the young crowd and my Arab buddies used to go a lot in the summer is Marina Park, which is just off the strip.

If you are tired of the club scene there is a active bar scene (pisco bars) that Rosita and her girlfriends go to behind La Marina in Pueblo Libre that is alot safer.
You need to go with friends if you want to be successful outside the gringo circuit.

I was cruising in Callao yesterday and met a hot young Chalaca at the new Starbucks, but that is another story.

Forget, the Palacio de Salsa as it appears to be closed down. That is a big problem down here as places are opening and closing everyday. The ¨in¨places are like that as well. There are times when having a car down here is a major advantage.

Code violations and failure to pay taxes are the main reasons for most places,while the in places are subject to discrimination lawsuits and the fickleness of Lima HI Society.

On another note, you guys in the states are probably familiar with CNN´s IReporter, where they get live footage from around the world from anybody with a camera/cellphone etc. That format was actually pioneered in Peru with something called Magaly TeVe. You can not cheat on your wife down here without it being shown on TV.

More ominous for the expats is the LCN (Latin Chica Network)(Latin Chinita network) whereby most of my friends are unable to walk into certain clubs for fear of ¨being seen¨ which leads to a barrage of phone calls to your cellular or worse yet denial of sex. There is nothing more annoying to me or my friends than to receive 24-30 phone calls in the space of 1 hour while having a relaxing cocktail at Tequilas!

For me personally the LCN stands for the (Lima Combi Network). Every time I sit at a cafe or walk down the street with a girl, One of my wifes supposed cousins rides by on a combi and sees the blond haired/blue eyed guy in Miraflores and proceeds to call my Suegra to see if Rosita and I are having marital problems.

There is one Lurker here who will remember (hey Jim) the time we went to Barranco for drinks. The whole time I drove there, parked,walked to the bar, went upstairs,met and was introduced to people,had a drink,walked back to the car,drove home, I was not allowed to hang up my cell phone under the threat of no nookie for a week!

Since I seem to be on a rant I will clue you guys in on a little secret. Think of it as one of Elberto´s Christmas presents.

When you are out with your Peruvian wife/girlfriend and having a nice evening that suddenly turns into your worst nightmare over nothing you did: It means she wants sex, not any sex mind you, she wants angry sex with all the passion you can muster. This is foreplay in the eyes of a Peruana. It is extremely confusing for the average male and I somtimes have to restrain myself from violence and ask the simple question ¨are we fighting, or do you just want sex again¨.

The Peruvians invented not only the tomato and potato, but also MAKEUP SEX!

I go to Lima for the first time early next year, so I do not have any experience with Limenitas. So I am reading the posts here to make my trip a successful one.

I shared your theory above, until I travelled to other LA countries. I am not disagreeing with you, I am just testing my own "theories" about SA/LA women.

Question: you meet two women. Both look identical, they are beautiful, healthy human beings. One is from the new human colony on planet mars. The other hangs out at XYZ Bar in downtown Lima. You've dated other women from XYZ bar and they are generous, courteous and pretty level headed.

I am a great fan of yours and read your post eagerly. At first I thought the entire post was about one subject, now I think it is about TWO subjects. But I am still unclear what you meant. I am trying to understand how to deal with the Limenita "girlfriend type." Dealing with a wife is an entirely different matter.

Clarification #1:

In your post are you saying:

a) Go ahead and prowl around town and be seen with your girlfriends competitors. If you can handle the resulting blow out, you'll get great sex.

Or are you saying

b) If you are going to go out with other women, wear a disguise! ( I assume this to be the correct answer)

Clarification #2:

I have read from other members in this forum how it is possible in Lima to have several non-pro girlfriends and sleep with a different one every nite of the week. One needs only to have a good game, good spanish and play ones cards right. I find this hard to believe - I assume that the Limenita is like every other woman in the world: jealous and possessive.
