Depends on what you want.

My personal experiences are...

Hong Kong: I love the variety here in that you can find Philipinas, Indonesian, Malaysian, Thai and Chinese. There are also many mongering opportunities.

Shanghai: There are tons of opportunities in Shanghai and some unique experiences - the bar, red rope. Also, as Fast Eddie mentioned, the quality of girls is quite high, and they are mostly Chinese. You can get away with minimal Mandarin in Shanghai, but the more you speak, the better your experience will be. Also, read the Shanghai forum very carefully. Many moons ago I was initated into the scams that are often run in Shanghai, and knowledge of the scene (acquired from the forum) there is essential, IMO.

Other options you may want to try are CP in Dongguan (Cheap, fresh, China girls with a bit of Mandarin knowledge needed), Macau (the most pricey, best girls and you really do not need Mandarin knowledge), or Beijing (If you like Russians and Mongolians this is the place to be and I am a Eurasian/Mongolian addict Mandarin helpful but not necessary). I am leaving out alot of great mongering locations, but those are the highlights from my point of view.

Last night was my first time in HKG - having mongered frequently in SIN, DXB, BKK, JKT, thought i'd write my impressions.
But first a question - where can I get Cialis or Viagra in HKG? I am staying at the Hyatt - so somehwere close would be good.
So here goes...

Got into HKG around noon, so was ready for mongering a bit early - started around 9ish. Had done my homework and had read the forum, so i was quite prepared. Unlike in Singapore with it's 4 floors of *****s, or in JKT / BKK where you go to "destination clubs" in my language, in Wanchai, one has to walk around between a couple of streets to hit the spots.

I tried Fenwicks, Laguna, Neptune II and Boracay.
One of the things I noticed was that the girls were also rotating between these destinations. From a price perspective, Neptune was a bit higher where girls were asking between 2000 to 2500 for all night, vs 1500 to 2000 at the other spots. Basically, it is the same mix of Filipinas and Thai girls at most of the places - with Filipinas in the majority.

Picked up a Thai / Indian mix from Neptune for 1500 all night - she just left after quite a satisfying night.
All in all, a good first time experience.
Was thinking of doing something more "upscale" tonight - a la Brix or the Shangri La in Singapore - any recommendations?

Cialis is available without prescription in all the small pharmacies dotted around everywhere. Just wander out of the hotel and you'll soon find one. A box of 4 pills (20mg) costs 360.00. HKD.
BTW, the prices quoted to you by girls in the Wanchai discos are highly negotiable. Haggle away if you want to save a bit of dosh.

I make yearly trips to Tim's Chop Suey, (TST), Kowloon. Can anyone suggest a shop for the best deal on a box of authentic Cuban cigars? Should I just get them at the airport shop on the way out?

I love sitting outside the clubs at Knutsford Terrace, smoking a Monte Cristo, and drinking Bourbon. But sometimes its hard to walk home. lol

You could try JJ's at the Grand Hyatt. Was there last week and there were a couple of working girls. You could also try Lan Kwai Fong in Central, Hari's in Holiday Inn, Sticky Fingers in TST East, and All Night Long in Knutsford Terrace.

Note the girls rotate between Hari's, Sticky's and I am told All night long which was formerly known as Chasers. I've also seen groups of girls who normally hang out in Sticky's in Lan Kwai Fong.

Put a search in the forum for details. Then go and have fun.

I have noticed the disturbing trend that the women in WanChai are inflating their asking prices these days. Mostly, they will settle down for something reasonable - 600-800 ST, 900 to 1500 LT - and the price has escalated most recently. Just a few months ago, those prices were lower. It appears that you did a pretty good job negotiating.

Sogo Dept Store in Causeway Bay, a tobacco shop at the Peak are two places that have small but good selection.

If you really want the ultimate upscale experience, take the ferry to Macau ang go to 18 Sauna in the Golden Dragon Hotel. The best thing is buy a package deal from one of the travel agents in the ferry building in Hong Kong. Ask for the 18 Sauna package deal - it should be about 1500 HK. I have mongered in many places, and I have never seen anything as luxurious as 18 Sauna. You can read about it in the Macau section.

The place was reaally big and claims to be able to hold 3000 people. My friends and I where the only customers.

To sit down for the minimum drink charge is HK$520 when there is a show. Which I guess is to be always. Even if it just a guy singing on the stage. When they brought our drinks they also brought peanuts and fruit. I found out later if you eat them. They charge you. Just so you know.

The Mamason will bring out the girls and they where all pretty good looking. Tall and good looking. They are not working as maids that is for sure. They all seemed to have basic English skills.

I do not want to offend anyone but I am calling bs. I think it is a waste of time and my time would have been better spent on visiting some 141 buildings.

I agree with your comments (except fo the bs part). I have, over the years, been in that area on the weekend and noted the number of PI workers there. The vast majority of them are not interested in meeting guys in that setting. It seems like most of them are there to hangout with their friends from PI, eat, talk, etc. However, there is always exceptions to the rule. I would not doubt that, once in a blue moon, a PI girl would meet a guy in that setting.

Also, I would bet that many of the girls there may be members of the [url]www.cherryblossoms.com[/url] which has a lot of HK PI maids on the website. In addition, in a different setting (e.g., club), these same girls are more than willing to meet for a price. But why pay big bucks for something you can get in PI for dirt cheap. In my opinion, most of the girls there are not attractive.
But, to each their own, if a guy likes that PI maid type, enjoy.

I agree with your theory WebCon, all the girls congregate at Central to catch up on the latest, then the pretty sexy ones pair up to eat, shop or hang out at bar scenes, etc. Incidentally, the mob en masse at open public squares bcos literally they have no where else to go on this tiny compact island.

One point I want to make is these girls are human beings. They've been displaced from their homeland due to economic hardship and survival. They do a tour of 1 or 2 years then go home. They are often homesick, miss their family and friends. Just goto any Internet bars on sundays in Central, causewaybay, or TST, you will see what I mean. They are chatting/emailing with their friends and family back home. 3 girls to a screen, standing room only. Most I-bars have a 50% off specials on sundays just to accommadate these temporary migrant workers. They can't spend much and they can't stay long.

With that said, they are young girls and they get lonely here. Some of the itchy/scratchy ones will have little problem finding partners in a liberal HK. Some shy ones will just have to keep their eyes open for their prince to save them.

But most monger here just wanna pluck out a decent looking one, treat them like a piece of meat, throw some bills behind them and score another one for King Midas.

Oh it's a good plan, don't get me wrong. I'm just saying the road to that kind of happy ending has many turns.
