The seeking women get thousands of hits. The dumber ones think that all these men want them when the reality is most men on seeking are themselves scammers trying to get laid for free. Your profile should reflect not that you are going to pay s In the beginning, women were so awful on line and so much more receptive in person I did not get why, and the reason is there are so many male scammers.
I saw you say something similar on a post several months back, about "male scammers trying to get sex for free". What do you mean exactly by that? Are these guys online who are arranging pay 4 play with women and then afterwards refusing to pay what they agreed on?
Friends, we've been hearing a lot of news about things happening in Medellin, particularly around Airbnb accommodations in Parque Lleras area. We're a group of seven people traveling for fun, and we're considering canceling our plans. Could you please advise us?

The police presence is felt heavily, and the quality has dropped as a result.

As a group you may be targeted more so I'd be more wary. Cartagena may be better for a group.
Hello,
I don't speak Spanish, I'm European, and I'll be staying in Medellin for three weeks in December, starting around Christmas.
I really enjoy partying. For example, when I'm in Thailand, I go out to nightclubs almost every night, and I would love to enjoy Medellin in a similar way.
However, I have to admit that reading all the stories and warnings on Facebook groups, forums, and other communities is making me quite nervous, especially regarding the risk of being drugged or robbed. It has reached the point where I'm seriously considering cancelling my trip to Medellin and going to Kenya instead.
I was planning to stay at **Viktory Boutique in Provenza* According to their rules, any outside visitor entering a guest's room must first register at reception and provide an ID. I imagine this already helps reduce some of the risks. I was also planning not to drink anything in my room when I have a visitor over.
What do you think? Am I worrying too much, or do you really need to be extremely cautious in Medellin ?
Regarding dating apps, are some considered safer or more reliable than others in Medellin? Is it also a good idea to always ask for someone's Instagram before meeting them?
Thank you in advance for your advice and for sharing your experiences!

Haven't met a single girl with decent English here.
I don't know if you read enough about the datings apps. I personally would recommend against it.
General statement and just my opinion, if you don't speak Spanish I personally wouldn't recommend coming unless you're into the strip club scene. The police crackdown and the government crackdwon is felt heavily in the park and in the outdoors. They're constantly monitoring the area and it has significantly decreased the quantity / quality of women. The clubs don't seem affected as much. And stay off the apps.

Thank you in advance for your advice and for sharing your experiences!
Ummm dude yes be worried. If you go in thinking it will be like Thailand you will be dead before day 3. You don't know spanish or the slang there (rip), want to go hard every night in nightclubs (that will catch up to you), going around Christmas where robberies and petty shit is at an all time high.
Good for wanting to stay at a place with security and not drinking when having a visitor over, but if you drink in those night clubs and stuff every night you will get screwed at least once in your 3 weeks of being there especially if meddy is your first time.
Stay away from the dating apps too much BS with them in meddy.
There's some guy that has a spot in meddy I know he is on this forum and he parties hard all the time but he knows the language and has his girls vetted good. As you're going to be first time visitor and no language and what not be very careful. I'd still go if I was you but just be careful man and trust no one.
Christmas time is a particulary bad time to come to Medellin. As a lot of people go to the campo and visit family. Additionally that is bonus time and robbers will be around stealing people's boneus payments.
Finally to me Medellin gets a little chilly at night in late December so I'the bring a sweater if I were adamant about going. The Period from December 16 (bonus payday) till January 6 (The official end of the Christmas holidays) is a bad time to go to Medellin especially as a first timer with no Spanish.
If you really wanted to come to Colombia that is the time of the Feria de Cali in Cali Colombia and more people stay in town in Cali. But I'the pick Thailand if you were defenitely planning for a Christmas trip with Kenya being second and Cali being third.
Hope this Helps.
Trip.

I'the advise staying out of the park as a group, and if you do decide to go out together, head to one of the places recommended, like Fase Dos or La Isla.

Trip.
I'd add easter week to that. Both times are really bad to come to all of Colombia for mongering purposes. Quantity of women is way down due to people spending time with families.

I now bring women over to my apartment and party here. A few speak English, most don't, but that's never been an issue. Some of my all time favorites have not spoken English. I had a threesome the other night and we all left happy. Now I personally don't drink alcohol because I bring my own preferences from the US, but I keep liquor for the women who want it. Be smart, don't leave your alcoholic drinks unattended. Scope must be ingested and it can be detected in drinks, that's why they put it in alcohol to mask the taste. And my final rule is don't waste your time with mediocre women. All the suspected women I've seen are not good looking. Hot women don't need to drug men to make money.

Take heed.

I think that is the place where someone posted a pic of a guy being taken out in a body bag. Somehow the front desk didn't get the ID of his visitor (s) and he got overdosed on something like scopolamine. He had been down celebrating a birthday I believe. Edit - that might have been Provenza Lofts, but somehow I think there is a connection
