The girls that visit him always come in their own car and he assured me they are not rich callgirls but just rich girls with either rich parents or well paying jobs, so this Arab is never paying one rupia (not even taxi money) to the girls. I seen at least 17 different girls coming to stay with him since I checked into the Kos. All of them super model quality. And here I am having just slept with 3 girls of whom 2 were very average in looks and body (bit overweight).

I hope things will pick up the next weeks but I am not really sure, DIA is not delivering, the same goes for Indo cupid. Most girls in jakarta in my opinion do not like arabs, so they usually ask big prices at them. On the other hand the advantage for him seems to be arab AND australia. It makes him a muslim which could be great for the family, and he lives in the closest bule paradise: australia.

With speaking bahasa the dating girls should love you, I am not sure what seems to go wrong. For clubs it is easier with a wingman if you want a civilian, it is what I miss when I go alone to jakarta. Actually socializing with the male local compagnions works quite good. In bars go sit next to the lady boss. For malls, go sit next to them and talk. One of the most stunning normal (I think) girls I had said that she almost never clubs and in the malls she just wants the guy to come to her and say hello and ask stupid questions. As most of them do not get the signals she sends. If you do get them usually its a semi-pro in action and then it should be obvious.

Alternatively suggest that they massage you in their underwear from the start. If they're open for anything, they will be open to this too. I managed some decent negotiations this way. For future readers: Ramadan and other Muslim holidays shift forward a few days every year because Muslims use a lunar calendar instead of a solar calendar. To complicate things further there is disagreement among Muslims whether Mekka or the local situation should be used as reference for the determination of the start of certain holidays.

In 2011 this resulted in a last minute change of the start date of Ramadan in Indonesia.

An additional perk will be "sisters day". Girls coming back from the kampung bring their younger sisters and introduce them to the Jakarta nightlife. I have witnessed this a couple of times in Jalan Pelatehan (Blok M) and I was often pleasantly suprised by the amount of new talent.

It's roughly 8-July until 8-August. So he's arriving just before the fasting month begins. IMO pretty bad timing. Good luck!

Well my luck has changed a bit. Just 6 days ago I met a girl who is exactly my type body wise, and she seems to be a nice person too. The problem is that she is insatiable in the bed (just 20 years old) , and she wants it a lot. It's becoming a bit hard for me to keep up with her. Now I never have needed it before but I think I need some (medical) help. So I went to the Pharmacy to ask for Cialis or something else but it is bloody expensive (BTW 80. 000 and 100. 000 for one tablet).

The other day me and the Arab guy had some beers in front of the local 7eleven, and ofcourse the topic "girls" dominated our conversaton. He told me he is not handsome at all but the fact that he is from Australia or living there and Arab makes him interesting for quite some local girls. He actually said that. Many girls he date indeed want to make a serious relationship with him, also the rich ones and sometimes he gives in for a while but there are too many waiting so it is impossible to stay faithfull more then a couple of weeks with one.

I do speak fluent Bahasa and some girls like it. There are also quite a number however who are suspicious of bule guys speaking Bahasa (has been around the block for a while). Some do prefer fresh meat.

Malls for me are quite impossible. I don't receive many signals and when I do it is usually so unexpected that I don't (or don't know how to) react. Back home usually I bang my head on the wall for not having been more reactive. For approaching girls who are not looking (for instance girls sitting in cafe's alone or with 2) I am just not cut out for that I guess, too nervous and don't know how to make the move. I've been in Jakarta many years and I never ever picked up a girl in a mall, I almost never even got a number. I might be too shy.

Cheers![/QUOTE]According to the website of the Indonesian Embassy to the Netherlands Eid al Fitr (or Idul Fitri as many Indonesians call it) is 5, 6.7, 8 & 9 August this year. This is regarded as National Holiday. Ramadan is not specifically mentioned, since for your average Indonesian its is not a holiday, but Idul Ftri marks the end of Ramadan.

Any bule who speaks fluent Indonesian by definition is an experienced Jakarta hand and thus knows the ground rules and prices. In most cases, a bule who is fluent in Bahasa will have more girls, not less, available to him, but the gold-diggers will stay away.

Still can't figure out why you're having such bad luck with girls. I'm an overweight guy who was in my mid-50s whewn I mongered in Jakarta (2004-09) and had girls propositioning me all the time, even when I wasn't looking. One memorable moment was when I sat at Starbucks by the Plaza Indonesia entrance at 6 p.m. one Friday evening with a 2 1/2 year old child in my lap and had two attractive mid-20s women separately come to me and give me their cell number, saying "call me later"
