Bangkok Hotels

Seeing some of the falangs that have been in there over the past few years, I can understand why the girls turn farangs down. I mean dude, if you weigh 150 kilos and are sweating like you just come out of the shower, why would you think some 40 kilo teen girl wants your fat old ass bouncing on them, when she can have a shy, polite, non stinky, skinny Asian boy .

For someone complaining about people making assumptions, you sure seem to do a lot of your own.

I weight 165 lb, work out, speak Thai fairly well and don't smoke. I used to pull Thermae women frequently but years ago. The scene for me has changed as well. Clusters of women not even indicating they are interested. I'd rather go to a bar, street or MP than Thermae. I may pull a mamasan to the side and see if that approach works better but with so many venues it's not my thing.

I came to Thailand for the first time in the mid 1980's. It's definitely changed a lot and Thermae with it.

There are a number of good possibilities for two bedroom suites. Prices vary tremendously depending on availability and time of year, but you should take a look at:

Fraser Suites Hotel on Soi 11 - about an 8 minute walk to Sukhumvit, but late at night Soi 11 comes to life and is well worth checking out in its own right with many nightclubs, restaurants, and SW's.

Centre Point Hotel on Soi 10 - about a 6 minute walk to Sukhumvit then very close to Thermae and the rest.

A little further afield.

Marriott Exec Apt Sukhumvit Park - 1 train stop past Cowboy on Soi 24, but very close to oily massage central (Soi 24).

Grande Centre Point Ratchadamri - closer to Patpong than anywhere else, but a very nice hotel. Natty likes Patpong. 555.

Out of all of the above and taking into consideration that this is your first trip to BKK and you probably want to be right in the middle of all the action, your best bet from the list above is probably the Fraser provided you can get a good rate. I have stayed at all these hotels. They are all super girl friendly. You can party away with as many girls in your room or down by the pool as you like.

One very tall girl on corner of Soi 33 I think, I was not sure.

In the old days, girls in regular low paid jobs, just showed up at the Thermae (or the Grace coffee shop) after work, which usually really got going at 1 am or 2 am, when other things were closing.

Most 7 Eleven staff speak to me in Thai, even I have may not spoken a word of Thai to them. How would they know if I can understand? Perhaps they do not speak English. Is this normal for other guys?

I went into one the other day and ordered a Thai Milk tea drink from the All Cafe there, and the young guy didn't have a clue what I was saying nor his workmates. I then had to point to what I wanted on the menu.

When I buy my 15 baht rice there I have a lot of problems getting them to understand that I only want them to microwave it for 30 seconds as their default is 45 seconds which tends to melt the plastic container.

I know how to say thirty in thai, but don't know the word for seconds. What would this be?

[/QUOTE]I loved those old days. I once stayed a week at the Grace Hotel in the early nineties. The place had its own fishbowl soapie, bowling alley and that infamous coffee shop. As a young monger from White Man Land, I could not quite believe what I was seeing. Thermae was filled with the most hideous creatures imaginable. It was a bit like the Star Wars cantina on Tatooine.

I preferred it over the Grace which had more older women and more middle eastern customers. Thermae also had its small Soapy upstairs in 1991 which I also preferred over the Grace Massage.

A lot of old ugly guys in the Thermae, but I paid no attention. I guess I paid little attention to the ugly girls too. Only the best few in the place ever mattered to me.

However don't expect Thais to be customer focussed and be able to follow instructions. There is a big tendency for Thais to just do what they do automatically with brain disengaged. Its like trying to teach a girl to go slower in a BBBJ and stop rubbing with the hand. Some of them just cannot change.

I guess that it is not only the Japanese or Asians that are over paying, but many Farangs that think that 5000 thb is a deal. Bkk is not Iowa ToTo. There are so many good looking girls in Bkk that it makes your head swim. Tell the little girl in 7/11 that you will give her 1000 thb to meet you after her shift and come to your room. She makes 300 Thb a day on her job. So 1000 thb looks like heaven to her. I've been lucky to have scored 50% of the time when I make that offer. It happens.

[/QUOTE]Why not just play and stay at Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit? It is about in the middle location wise, has very nice gym, roof top bar, and a pool area. I always got the side that overlook Sukhumvit. It's new with floor to ceiling windows that you can have sex with a great view. You can get house keeping to change sheets when you want to and all the towels you need.

I think tho since we are officially staying elsewhere and this is just my "girls hotel" I will try to keep it to under $100/ night.

Given that I won't be sleeping there so street noise etc doesn't matter I am leaning towards Soi 11 because so much going on but close to Nana and Thermae. Considering The Eleven, Mercure, Aloft. Anyone care to weigh in on Soi 11 options under $100? (But probably over $50. I want it to be nice) thanks.
