Sunset Village girl friendly?
Has anyone stayed at the Sunset Village, which is about 15 mins outside of Pattaya?
Looking online, it seems that you can get a nice detached cottage on a clean beach out of the hussle and bussle of Pattaya for around US$80. Problem may be ... is it too family oriented to tolerate ISG alum? Does anyone know if it is girl friendly?
Thanks!
More Residence Garden info
I stopped at the Residence Garden which is next to the big intersection in South Pattaya that leads to Big Buddha or Jomtien (up the hill) or round to the 3rd road.
I would recommend this hotel. You can get it for 9, 000 baht a week, and this gets you a big room with King size bed and great linen. TV and aircon plus electronic safe in the bedroom. You get a separate living area with a kitchenette. Fully stocked fridge full of booze, another TV, sofa and chairs plus private balcony. Bathroom is also very good although water pressure is low. Girl friendly. Great pool. It's a little noisy as the road in front is quite busy. Friendly staff. My electronic keycard kept fucking up, but that was quite a minor thing, though I am very laid back. I imagine it would of pissed off some people. Food was shit. Room service was expensive. Laundry was expensive. There is a laundrette right across the road at half the price. Also try Pha's massage next door to the laundrette for an excellent traditional oil massage. Very relaxing. Just up the hill on the right you can get full spit roast chickens for B100 which are nice to take back to hotel and munch on.
All in all I would recommend. Very easy to pick up Baht Bus from outside and drops off 2-3 mins later at Soi Diamond etc on the 2nd road side. Goes all the way up 2nd road, so easy access for all the sexy Soi's in Pattaya. All Baht buses running in opposite direction go to Jomtien and again go past hotel. Easy life.
However. Speaking to expats regularly during my golfing days, they all seemed to point at Areca Lodge as the pick in Pattaya for excellent quality and slightly cheaper. However, you only get a large room, not a suite. Soi Diana location is good though.
Whitehouse Condotel and Sandy Springs?
Does anybody know how Sandy Springs compares to Whitehouse Condotel. Whitehouse is a new modern place. Is Sandy Springs comparable?
