2-The apt. looks beautiful but if your coming to Rio mostly for mongering you sure don't wanna stay in Barra Tijuca, that's a long way from the mongering action

3-The Rio Othon is very girl unfriendly-no chance of sneaking one up the elevator

They are reputable and generally go out of their way to make sure your stay is good. Didn't like the security deposit aspect, which is like $200US on top of the rental, but of course you get it back the day you leave.

The money has been allocated, per Oglobo reports.

I was at the R.O.P. during Carnaval. As soon as I got inside my room, I asked the staff that helped me with my luggage about the girl policy of the hotel. He said that you if you bring a girl after 11pm, then would need to have the girl register at reception and you would have to pay a fee of $R100 for the girl whether she stays for 1 minute or the night. Now, during the day, if you bring a girl to your room, just walk straight inside the elevators, make sure the girl is dressed like a normal girl and not like a GDP and if anyone asks you anything, just say you're going to the Bar or to the swimming pool on the top floor of the hotel. Then, from there, just go to your room.

He did emphasize that a great deal of whether you will succeed in bringing a girl to your room is the way she is dressed. Only if she is dressed and looks like a normal girl, can you pull this off. This came straight from one of the staff at the R.O.P. Again, speaking portuguese helps tremendously in here.

All in all, yes the R.O.P is not very girl friendly, however, with a little tact, balls and with the right girl and some portuguese and add to that the brasilian jeitinho, it can be done.

Other than that, the hotel is very conveniently located, awesome views and great service.

I was at Help yesterday. Was many people but I found the level of pretty girls very low. So I spoke a lot here about the closing and everybody confirmed that Help will close. I also spoke with a lawyer here who informed that it is for sure. I guess this time is the right one then! If anybody is here in Rio, send me message we could meet!

Everything is negotiable guys but as previously stated, don't expect to bring a favela gdp into that establishment. If she looks like a normal girl, and u take care of the security-there will be much leeway afforded.

Taking care of your doorman in an upscale building can go a long way as well.

For some strange reason I decided to keep a log of every penny I spent over a couple of months. 80 sessions came to an average of just over 40R a session. That included a few 'expensive' ones (Balcony etc) and a few freebies. My total spend on food, drink and groceries came to a bit more than the total spend on programmas. Took time off to do the carnaval parade and travel a bit of Brasil.

Christopherd, I have to go back and read your posts because I blow thru serious money when I am in brasil. I easily drop about 5-8K for a month long vacation. I am headed back in July for a two month trip and I have to try your method of 40R sessions.

WTF...over? First Fenwick closes in Hong Kong and now Help will close also?
That is two of the most (if not the most) famous places in the world to find plentiful and beautiful ladies. I will be in Rio next weekend for a few days, so I will get one last visit before it shuts the doors. I know there are other, less expensive options, but I haven't found anywhere in Rio with the sheer numbers and variety found at Help. I am sure that they will all move somewhere else, but it is still kind of sad. Terracao Atlantico will suffer as well I am sure.
I guess I will have to try a couple of other locations for the future, seems like moving down the beach is the ticket, Balcony is WAY overpriced, but it does get started earlier, which is a plus!

Other option in Rio for those who do not like the thermas is the web. Some sites like [url]www.hotside.com. Br[/url] are good. I have experienced. Some beautiful girls and if you have the chance that the girl like you it becomes a real girl friend experience and I would say with better attitude than most of the Help girls. I am staying since two days now with one of the girl from this site and she is very good. I have also noticed that I could not access to GPGuia from europe but now that I am in Brasil it works well! This is another good source of informations really. But to be honest, I have been to Help, Meia Pataca and was very disappointed by the quality of the girls there and the attitude. They all request for 300 RS that goes down to 200-250 after 2 minutes talk but not many I found at my taste. In fact nothing with what it used to be.
