I had $470 in my pocket which was the remainder of the fund that I had brought to Minsk to spend. I may be wrong but I got the distinct impression that Xandy had little experience of sleeping with blokes for money and none of doing a threesome. The fact that she f**ked me unprotected sought of supports that.

So in an instant I was reminded of that Winston Churchill quote:

I've no experience of the places you mention. The Club which is said to have the biggest percentage of P4P is Dozari but I've yet to make it there. I was told by an Italian that one of the clubs which is situated in one of the big hotels, I wish I could remember its name, is overrun by Turks and us to be avoided.

As for bars and just picking up girls in general Minsk is not Kiev. People don't make eye contact and are mostly pretty suspicious of foreigners. I am sure there are bars but I suspect that the chances of picking up a freebie even if you speak some Russian are low. The people are not unkind and are the most honest in Europe (thank you President Lukashenko) but they seem to keep themselves to themselves.

I would also be very wary of street walkers because technically prostitution is illegal in Belarus. At the Double Tree Hilton they're more relaxed but still require the girl to sign in but I would not have wanted to bring a girl back to the President Hotel where I've stayed before with a LTR as it was much more communist.

As I asked before, you paid 500 rubles for a VIP table and I hit it on Google and got that to 0.02 euro something. Is partying and food over there dirt cheap? Must be luxury to have it that cheap during a night.

Must be luxury to have it that cheap during a night.[/QUOTE]It's about £185, which is a lot by Belarusian standards but this is the deposit or minimum spend so, apart from champagne you can pretty much order what you want (including found) without going over budget. It's really a way of making a statement. The Turks do it routinely.

A cocktail is about £7.50 even in the priciest joints and admission to a nightclub is about the same. With wine dinner was about £37 per person in my hotel (the Hilton) which is about as expensive as it gets unless you go to the Grand Cafe which is really swanky. I don't cut corners on these trips but if you wanted to I'm sure you could eat and drink pretty cheap. I had a lovely quiche fresh orange juice and a coffee in the cafe next to my hotel for just £3.70.
