In 2003 I was 18 days in Fortaleza. I must admit that Fortaleza was the wrong choice for me, too few black girls, almost only Morenas and white girls.

Last Saturday night, 23 February, the police was invading the clubs in the Iracema area. Something like 30-50 policemen, some of them riding horses, was raiding first Zipi Bar, then storming into Europa Bar, Bikini and Titanic. Some police dressed civil with camcorders was filming the guests. I believe there also was a TV team present.

I was lucky to be warned just shortly before, as I weared no documents. Rapidly paying my bar tap, and managed to go away into a dark side street, with my girl.
