I am a romanian guy living in Chicago USA and I thought to give you my opinion regarding the sex scene in Bucharest and ROmania.

First of all I don't understand why do you want to go there (unless you are on a business travel).

99% of all stinks.

Girls are not the ones from the pictures. They are always late. They try to get your money and then to get away earlier than agreed. Sometimes they ask for money in advance and the girls don't show up.

In the lobbies of major hotel chains(Sofitel, Hilton, Marriot) there are always girls but aproaching must be discreet beacuse of the hotel managers. Hilton is not very girl friendly. Prices will be like 100 EUR for one hour or 400 EUR for one night.

But unless you have some very good references I would not advise escort services.

First, as with any city, in any country around the world, there are good experiences and there are bad experiences. While I have had some spectacular times here stateside, I've also had some spectacular times in Buc. I can easily point you in the direction of some girls here in Chicago who will make you change your mind about American girls being "far much better."

What part of Vegas did you stay? While some of the places to stay in Buc may be just as expensive as in a major city in the states, I don't know about "More Expensive." And as far as a week in Vegas being cheaper than a week in Buc, the only way I can see this possible is if you figure in the airfare, which obviously leaves any European destination at a disadvantage. Airfare aside, with lodging and dining, girls and entertainment, if the quality was to be equal between Vegas and Buc, prices would either be "the same" or cheaper in Buc.

Funny... I've done fine on my own with no guide. Taxi drviers will try to take advantage of the situation, I agree there though. But the amount we over pay is equal to an extra $1 or $2. The ride was still 10 times less then here in Chicago.

I don't know, while you do get what you pay for, there is also a sucker born every minute. Sure I've had less then favorable experiences in Buc, but that doesn't make me hate the city or the girls. Just a warning to watch out for one street girl going by the name of Christina. She often hangs out at the net cafe on Baliescu (between Universita and Megu) earlier in the night before heading to the streets. Over the years that I've been going to Romania, I've been by myself, with no guide, speaking little Romanian (Ce faci, multumesc, sarmale, pui drag... very very very basic, but enough to make the ladies smile), and certainly never having met with you. Yet over these years, I have had great times, and would not consider myself to have been "ripped off" anymore than I would have in the states, over the same period of time, when seeing new girls.
