Obrigado for the great intel! Obrigado to Sperto for the intel about taxi rip offs!
Are the yellow cabs always on the meter / regulated, or are some of those rip off cabs too?
It appears from the Sperto VM map that the shortest walk is from the 455 bus stop to VM, Mosaico. It appears the walk from 455 is shorter from any of the Metro stops discussed?
I was looking for a bus route of the 455 on the inet? Anyone have a link?
Obrigado, alles!
Unless I'm leaving VM in heavy rain I wouldn't take a taxi in VM. Most VM taxi drivers are a**-holes. It's unlikely that they will turn on the meter and they might be hard to negotiate with.
I have the habit when taxis in Brazil to never use meters. In 90% of the cases I make an offer or negotiate before going in the taxi. It usually works fine.
The walk from the bus stop to VM is shorter than the walk from the metro. If you go from Copa to VM by bus or metro is your own choice. Either one takes normally about 30-40 minutes. The bus goes quite quick if you leave Copa around 3-4 PM. If you go a little later there will be much more traffic and you might stuck on Presidente Vargas for ages. If you get stuck in a traffic jam it can take one hour by bus. I still prefer going by bus. Relaxing in the bus, admiring the beautiful women in the streets and getting in a good mood for VM. Metro is also convenient, but you have to change metro trains going there.
Going back to Copa can be as quick as 20 minutes with bus.
Bus 455, "Meier", passes Av NS Copacabana, Rio Sul, Botafogo, Flamengo, Praça XV, Presidente Vargas, Central, Praça da Banderira... Make sure you get of at the right bus stop. The first stop after the big traffic junction.
When arriving at Praça da Bandeira just cross the road on the walkways. If you run quickly or feel suicidal you can try crossing the street.

Rio
I would really appreciate som info about the prices and girls at Monte Carlo and Centaurus. I have read that there are some university students working in Centaurus, is it correct? I have understood that the entrance fee are quite high at Centaurus but how much do you think it would cost to bring a girl to the hotel for the night? What are the balconies you have been talking about and where is it located? I've been to fkk in Frankfurt and New Scandalo in Malaga and I felt perfectly safe, can you say the same about Centaurus / Monte Carlo?

Most people will find getting the Metro via Cristovao the easiest way of getting to VM by public transport the first time. When the bus approaches the Praca, it can be travelling very fast indeed, so you have to know when to pull the bell. If you've seen the area at least once I think that helps. Expanding on Sperto's instruction about the 'big junction' - this, for the unwary, is a major conglomeration of flyovers and slip-roads north and south off Presidente Vargas. When your bus suddenly goes several feet in the air (the sensation of approaching the flyover rapidly) , then the next stop is yours (when it 'lands' in Praca Bandeira). You may also see a big lit-up bridge off to your right while still travelling fast. Another indication to get ready to exit.
If you miss your stop, just get off at the next one and walk back. You'll be covering the same ground as when you arrived by Metro at Cristovao.
There are a good number of buses that go to Pr. Band / VM, apart from the 455 Meier one, but the 455 is easy. You can also approach from the north.
I rarely get the Metro unless, as Sperto also does, it is rush hour. When there's heavy traffic, it also depends what part of town you are coming from, as the traffic along NS Copacabana can take a long time as well. If I do get the Metro, I prefer to get off at Alfonso Pena: but again that is a way to travel once you have got your sense of direction. Unlike Cristovao, Alfono Pena is a very nice area, full of nice shops and bars and restaurants, untouristy, and occasional street market sellers that charge a fraction of Copa's prices. Another advantage is you don't have to change trains, you just stay on the 'posh' one. Go there during the day and find your way around, head north to cross Pr. Bandeira and on to VM. It's about the same distance as Cristovao and there are more turnings but it is a nicer walk.
I would really appreciate som info about the prices and girls at Monte Carlo and Centaurus.
RTFF.
I have read that there are some university students working in Centaurus, is it correct?
They may very well TELL you that they are students, but who knows?
I have understood that the entrance fee are quite high at Centaurus but how much do you think it would cost to bring a girl to the hotel for the night?
The price of having her come to your hotel is entirely between you and the girl and will need to be negotiated. It would depend on how long you want her to stay. Since Centaurus girls are top end, expect to spend a lot.
What are the balconies you have been talking about and where is it located?
Av. Atlantica 1424, Copacabana, near Praca do Lido.
I've been to fkk in Frankfurt and New Scandalo in Malaga and I felt perfectly safe, can you say the same about Centaurus / Monte Carlo?
You should have no concern for your safety while you are inside those places. Your concern for safety should be for when you are on the str eet. Always take a taxi from point A to point B at night, no matter how short the distance.

Obrigado re Alfonso Pena. Great local intel, area recon.
Maybe similar from my perspective: I have found that Largo do Machado Metro station is in a really pretty good area, especially for a gringo like me:
- easy walk from Metro to Barao do Flamengo motel (69R pernoite, I mentioned)
- easy walk to Serrano Motel (on the to do list)
- ScortShow is round the corner so no taxi (50R) at the motel Barao do Flamengo.
- AND (just figured out from clicking around the 'net) that prive Ju Panteras is right there on Largo do Machado too.
Anyway, what I am seeing from clicking around Google maps and posts like this below (and the other web site members). Is that
- patrol base at Barao do Flamengo. 455 Meier bus to Mosaico and / or Metro to Centro Termas / Prives.
- alternate patrol base Malaga, Mosaico, Tijuca prives.
It looks like Tijuca (Mosaico, VM, Malaga motel, prives tigresa / mix / tijuca.) is just on the periferia geographically and economically. And Largo do Machado a little too.
Obrigado re Alfonso Pena. Great local intel, area recon.
De nada.
It looks like Tijuca (Mosaico, VM, Malaga motel, prives tigresa / mix / tijuca.) is just on the periferia geographically and economically.
Tijuca proper covers quite a large area. I've stayed in Alfonso Pena and walked to Tijuca Shopping for instance, but Tijuca to VM is quite a trek. Centro is not bad (Rua Carioca) as VM is only a short bus ride and there are the attractions of living in the city. But Copa and Ipanema give you a holiday feeling destination with beaches and party spirit. These other places don't really do that in the same way.

What is the street address of massagemtijuca? Same street as tigresatijucanas?
Yes, that's what I was aiming for. I somehow automatically added.
.br
When I typed the report. Sloppy work; I vow to improve.
As Almotu points out, his URL works, too. However, it is not exactly the same website. They are almost identical, but for the listing of Carla. Strange.
Visiting SP and planning
First, I'd like to thank all those who responded with advice to my post about a week ago. I understand that in order to find model-looking stunners that I like (I. E. No fat thies and butts). My best bet will be to go to termas. I will certainly hit main termas. From this forum, I understand that the most stunning girls are to be found in (overpriced) Centaurus and Monte Carlo. Correct?
Yet, some advised me not to veer away from termas, as I don't speak Porto. I do want to try some of other "genres" of Brazilian debauchery, however. My question is. Can stunners be found beyond termas, or I'll be wasting valuable time? I looked at some preve sites recommended by Sperto (thank you, Sperto!) , but didn't see anyone slim there.
Any feedback will be appreciated.

Aibolit
The girls at the privês are of mixed body-types, including slim body-types.
As you speak zero Portuguese and seem a bit unsure I think you better don't bother about the privês and stick to termas like Centaurus, L'Uomo, Monte Carlo, Solarium etc.

Rental Cars
Anyone ever rent a car in Rio? I want to drive from Rio to Sampa and drop at the interntonal airport. Anyone ever done something like this? Hw long was the ride and do the rental car companies nail you with drop fees?
