Angelo[/QUOTE]Depending on which tower they put you in, I would suggest you look out your window. If you see Delta spa hop over the road and enjoy the place. Its decent, clean, an element of selection allowed, good fun place for the afternoon.

You can look for Fortune Spa to the left to Meridien. Meaning, when you look out of the entrance of Meridien, it will be on the left. 2 minutes walk. Ask for a selection. And remember, the service providers are nowhere as hot as the hostesses. Would have loved to bone those!

Angelo[/QUOTE]Just remember that its Ramadan time when you are in Jakarta and its quite likely that most of the places including Fortune is closed. Check and better to delay your plans till August 15 or so if possible in my opinion. Me, I try best to avoid Jakarta during the fasting season.

Maybe locals can help you on this one.

Last year Fortune was usually open during Ramadan. At least it was at Grand Wijaya. That said, it was the only place open in Grand Wijaya. Every other place was closed.

That was the Mecure Resko at Mangga besar I stay there many time but it is a bit run down now, there are another one only 1 miles down the road at Hayum Wuruk near Malioboro is the Grand Mecure open last yr at Harmoni much nicer room around 75 USD a night.

Well, it's nearly that time of year again. I'm wondering what to expect from the places in North Jakarta during Ramadan. I'm particularly interested in whether the places on Pengaran Jayakarta in the Kotah Indah Complex (LA Bar, Sari Ayu, etc.) are likely to be open, and if so, whether their hours will be reduced. But I also would be interested in information about the North Jakarta places generally, such as Classic, Travel, and so forth. I suspect the answer might vary a bit from year to year so I am most interested in what the situation was last year and / or what anyone has heard about what it likely will be this year.
