Are you bringing your own private jet?

What are the logistics involved in getting to Tashkent on my days off from Bukhara?
Its more than 200 miles through mountains, so you'll spend all day in a bus
or a train to get one way.
I am forgetting the name of the weekly newspaper.....
I made some researches after reading Roger's post and found those sites :

http://www.makler.uz/en/apartments.htm
Inquired by email about the rates for a two-rooms apartment and both answered in a very kind way, offering +/- us$500 for a one-month stay (IMO the right length of stay in Tashkent, as it seeems to be exactly the same kind of scene than Chisinau, where time is the key).
Tashkent seems dirt cheap compared to Almaty BTW.
The one that gives classified advts. But it is easy to find a furnished 2 room flat in Tashkent for $200-250.
If you have any local Uzbek friend, he / she can easily help you. Uzbek's are enterprising people when it comes to trade and so while helping you, if he / she 'helps' himself / herself with $100 or so from the landlord, please don't mind. You won't actually as you won't find out! :)
Translator / Tour Guide / Companion
Guys,
Do any of you know if one can hire a (female) translator / tour guide / companion for a few days while in Tashkent. I am sure the universities must have pretty young ones wanting to make some extra 'pocket money'.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
